January 2007 (has links)
O quociente... Therefore, it is very preoccupying the constant increase in the rate of obesity and sedentariness in this specific population. These situations contradict the evolution of the motor development, considering that they are dependent on the motor stimulation received, that is, the amount of physical activity. Therefore, the objective of the present study is to evaluate the motor profile of a group of obese and overweight pre-pubescent and their eutrophic control, of either sex, between 9 and 10 years old, through the application of the motor ability test, expecting to understand a possible interaction of the nutritional disturbance on the motor function. 75 students of the private school net of Bauru have participated, being 37 of the masculine gender and 38 of the feminine gender. The data collection consisted of the act of filling out the questionnaires which refer to the socioeconomical, nutritional and physical activity aspects. Anthropometric measurements and X-ray exams have been done to verify the bone age. The Motor Development Scale (MDS) proposed by ROSA NETO (2002) was used to investigate the motor profile of the group rated as obese or overweight students and their eutrophic control. 57.3% of the total amount of the sample were rated as eutrophic and 42.7% as obese and overweight students. The eutrophic ones presented the chronological age average of 121 ± 7 months, bone age of 9 years and 6 months ± 1.35 year, and general motor age of 114 ± 5.45 months. The obese or overweight ones presented chronological age of 121 ± 6.93 months, bone age of 10 years and 2 months ± 1.46 year and general motor age of 109 ± 6.97 months...
