Suchozemští stejnonožci jako modeloví půdotvorní činitelé v praktické školní výuce / Terrestrial Isopods as Model Soil-forming Agents in Practical School EducationKorbélyi, Tereza January 2018 (has links)
- 2 - Abstract Woodlice (Isopoda) belong to major soil decompositors of plant material and at the same time easily collectible. These organisms are therefore suitable for integration into practical school lessons. The aim of this thesis is therefore to design inquiry-based education using Isopoda as an example of soil decompositors. The first part of this thesis is focused on the theoretical introduction to inquiry- based education. It is also devoted to describe woodlice (Isopoda), explain their morphology, life cycle and cover the most common species of Isopoda occurring in the Czech Republic. A simplified determination key for these most common species is included. The second part of the thesis includes complete instructions on how to use these organisms in practical teaching with elements of inquiry-based education. The manual contains techniques for collecting and storing woodlice. The manual also contains instructions to individual experiments, including the list of needed tools and advice, where to obtain the tools and other didactic materials. The third part of the thesis has a research character, where, based on a questionnaire survey, students' attitudes towards woodlice (Isopoda) and their knowledge shift before and after the practical lesson are evaluated. Keywords Isopoda, inquiry-based...

Srovnání reprodukčních parametrů středoevropských populací kriticky ohroženého druhu motýla - okáče skalního (Chazara briseis) / Comparison of reproductive parameters of Central European populations of the critically endangered Hermit butterfly (Chazara briseis)Štochlová, Tereza January 2021 (has links)
The Hermit butterfly Chazara briseis is a species from the family Nymphalidae, inhabiting mostly short-stemmed dry steppes. In Central Europe, it is critically endangered. It is therefore currently the subject of many conservation activities, including reintroductions. In such translocations of individuals, it is important that the native and source populations be as closely related as possible in all respects. Therefore, individuals of two forms of this species, Ch. briseis pannonica (Austrian population) and Ch. briseis bataia (Czech population) were bred and their reproductive characteristics were recorded and the differences between the two forms were observed. During two seasons 5 Austrian and 8 Czech females were successfully bred. The Austrian and Czech populations differed mainly in the timing of adult hatching and the beginning of the laying of eggs by females - Austrian individuals are phenologically shifted to one week to 14 days earlier. Individual populations of the same species may also differ from each other in the presence of Wolbachia pipientis. This bacterium can affect the sex ratio in a population as well as the reproduction behavior of individuals. There was a suspicion of its presence in the Czech population. Therefore, a part of the Czech population was treated with...

Kvalita drůbežího masa ve vztahu ke způsobu produkce / Quality of poultry meat in relation to the production methodKADLECOVÁ, Lucie January 2019 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is the quality of poultry meat in relation to the production method. In the literature review, poultry meat is described, then its consumption in the Czech Republic and its chemical composition. Selected methods of sensory analysis are also described. Types of tested meats are characterized in the practical part. This thesis is also focused on the experimental evaluation of the chemical composition of chicken breast muscle from the Loužná farm using the NIR method and comparing the composition changes depending on the age of the chickens. It is followed by selected sensory methods aimed at recognizing differences in chicken meat from three different productions. In addition, there was published a questionnaire to determine citizen's preferences for products (chicken meat) from different production methods.

Přenos genetického potenciálu prasnic pro reprodukci do produkční sféry / Transfer of genetic potential for reproduction in sows production sectorNÝVLT, Vladimír January 2014 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis was to describe the transfer of genetic potential of sows in production sphere and evaluate concrete results in reproduction breeding sows Agricultural Society Kosova Hora. On large-scale farrowing sows were evaluated Doublovičky basic herd of sows, which consisted of 440 to 520 pieces. sows. The basic herd always has been about 35 nucleic sows (P 1065). The rest of the herd was an offspring of hybrids F1 (C 1023) program the PIC. The sows P 1065 were investigated causes selecting progeny namely: 1) For lack of development, which was evaluated from birth to breeding gilts adulthood. 2) The number and formation of the teats. For breeding were required to at least 12. They can not be crater, but well formed to have good piglets suck breast milk from them. 3) Reproduction in gilts were evaluated after conception periodic (cyclic) heat. The minimum requirement for the first 8 piglets which are born alive. For the basic herd was evaluated the age structure. It was incorporated into three groups and evaluated that, the largest selection of sows was for lack of milk production, limb injuries, poor breeding condition and the possibility of further embedding. The largest selection of sows takes place after the third to fifth lactation.

Srovnání vybraných etologických aspektů vybraných druhů suchozemských želv / A comparison of selected ethological aspects of chosen tortoise speciesBLAŽEK, David January 2015 (has links)
In this thesis we studied individuals of 4 species of tortoises, often bred in captivity genus Testudo species T. hermanni, T. graeca, T. horsfieldi and T. marginata, in possession of the ZOO Hluboká nad Vltavou. We studied and analyzed their morphological parameters, size measurements, their weight and biometrical indexes, wheather they follow described sexual dimorphism as it was found out in non-captive populations. We also studied and analyzed their food preferences to find out differences between sexes and between keeping individual animal versus a group, by giving them a choice between 4 types of food (the red cabbage, leaves of dandelion and clover, and carrot roots). Sexual dimorphism displayed by different body proportions was most apparent in Testudo hermanni. In specimen from the ZOO of Testudo horsfieldi a T. graeca was sexual dimorphism less prominent. Measured Testudo females from the ZOO were in lowest, approximate and highest values bigger and heavier than males of the same species, which mirrors data from other studies of non-captive populations. Males are quicker to get to and quicker to start eating food than females. Males preffered red cabbage and carrot while the females clover and dandelion. The amplitude of preference change between individual and group experiment was not correlated by individual´s sex, species or size. We found out no apparent hierarchical enforcement from the side of faster or bigger specimen in the feeding process.

Přehled základních aspektů hnízdní biologie ptáků rodu Merops ve vztahu k jejich chovu. / Overview of the basic aspects of the nesting biology of birds of the genus Merops in relation to their breeding.ZEMANOVÁ, Jitka January 2014 (has links)
The European Bee-eater (Merops apiaster) is species of open landscapes with solitary trees with expressive and unmistakable colour. The origin is in North Africa and southern Europe, in the Czech republic is found in southern Moravia. The expansion of this kind is shifting to the north due to changes in landscape. For European bee-eater is typical of nesting burrows in the sand wall. The aim of this thesis was to describe the biology of African species of the genus Merops, to assess the situation of nature conditions for the kind of Merops apiaster, to describe the breeding of this species in captivity and to evaluate the success existing rearings in selected breeding institutions. In this thesis was described the breeding of European Bee-eater in Vienna Zoo, Dresden Zoo and Frankfurt Zoo, the breeding of Northern Carmine Bee-eater (Merops nubicus) in Zoo in Plzeň and the breeding of White-fronted Bee-eater (Merops bullocoides) in Vienna Zoo. Farther was described the breeding of all three species in private breeding of Mr. Drozdek in the Český Rudolec.

Zhodnocení vybrané BAT techniky ve vybraném provozu s chovem drůbeže a zhodnocení jejich ekonomických dopadůKUBÁŇ, Svatopluk January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis examines the production of gas emmissions (especially ammonia) arising from chicken farming. It focuses on its decrease and it also compares the gas concentrations while using electrolytic-oxydizing water. The work observes the expensiveness of the electrolyte water and compares the Air Emission Limit with the EU directivity. The measuring itself took place in a farm in Čekanice near Tábor. Air emission limit of ammonia has turned out to be 0,013 [kg NH3.ks-1.rok-1], more precisely 0,017 [kg NH3.ks-1.rok-1] for a hall without electrolyte-oxydizing water.
