Konstrukce soustružnického sklíčidla se strojově nastavitelnou excentricitou / Design of lathe chuck with machine-adjustable excentricity

Petrych, Jan January 2019 (has links)
This master´s thesis focuses on constructional design of chuck with settable eccentricity in two axes. The first part consists of brief analysis of the clamping of CNC machines and summary of available chucks with settable eccentricity. Next part deals with study of possible construction designs. Two construction variants will be based on those designs in the next part. Following part then describes dimensionality of the main parts of the chuck. Based on the calculations, the 3D model of chosen variant is created with the description of its functionality. Finally the conditions of operation for the chuck are described.

Self-destruction in the works of Chuck Palahniuk

LIEDERS, Tereza January 2019 (has links)
The topic of the following MA thesis is the theme of self-destruction in the works of Chuck Palahniuk, an American author whose novels frequently deal with the disintegration of contemporary society. Self-destruction, which the author often describes in violent details, is in his works portrayed as a form of civil disobedience and as a tool for dealing with social and personal problems. The first section of the thesis will explore the legacy of civil disobedience in American culture as well as violence as a recurring motif in US literature. The next section deals with transgressive fiction, a type of literature Palahniuk is frequently connected to, followed by an overview of his literary output. The last part of the thesis further explores some of his novels and the role self-destruction plays in them.

Fortin, Émilie 08 1900 (has links) (PDF)
______________________________________________________________________________ MOTS-CLÉS DE L’AUTEUR : Coupland, Palahniuk, Fin, Imaginaire, Temps.

Utredning av hylskvaliteter : Investigation of core qualities

Bergström-Andersson, Marie January 2006 (has links)

The Beef Nutrient Database Improvement Project: Retail Cuts From the Chuck

West, Sarah 16 January 2010 (has links)
A total of 40 beef arm chucks were collected from three cities across the United States to study the proximate composition of their separable lean. Chucks were fabricated 5-7 d postmortem and later cooked and dissected, or dissected raw into four separable components, separable lean, external fat, separable seam (intermuscular) fat, and connective tissue (considered inedible). Proximate analysis was conducted on the separable lean component of each dissected retail cut. Dissection data showed that multiple muscled cuts had a numerically lower percent separable lean when compared to the retail cuts comprised of a single muscle. Proximate analysis showed that as the mean value for moisture decreased in the retail cut, the mean percentage of total fat increased. Least squares means of total fat percentage were reported on the retail cuts stratified by USDA quality grade (upper Choice, lower Choice, and Select). Some of the retail cuts had significantly different total fat percentage of the separable lean when considering the differences in USDA quality grade. Cooking yields for the three methods utilized were numerically different. The cuts that were roasted had the highest cooking yield (80.72 %), followed by cuts that were grilled (76.58%), and finally cuts that were braised (66.13%). Differences in final endpoint temperature for each cut may account for the differences between cooking methods. This study was designed to acquire data to update the National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, as well as to provide nutritional information for cuts that are not presently in the database. This study evaluated thirteen cooked cuts and twelve raw cuts in an effort to increase the number of retail cuts available to search for nutrient information in the National Database.
