Práce se zabývá problémem chudoby a jejího monitorování. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována oficiální hranici příjmové chudoby v ČR - životnímu minimu. V nedávné minulosti byla odbornou studií navržena změna konstrukce této hranice, která vyústila ve vládní návrh, který byl předložen ke schválení do Poslanecké sněmovny. Výsledná podoba zákona doznala podstatných změn a cílem bylo, kromě zmapování politické zodpovědnosti za tyto změny zjistit, jaký bude dopad v příjmové oblati na vybrané sociální skupiny obyvatelstva.

Tématika sociální soudržnosti a sociálního vyloučení hraje v posledním období stále významnější roli v agendě Evropské unie. Spolu s tímto vývojem narůstá i potřeba srovnatelných sociálních indikátorů pro oblast příjmů a životních podmínek. Významným indikátorem pro tuto oblast je v současné době indikátor ?míra ohrožení chudobou?, který patří do skupiny klíčových strukturálních indikátorů pro pravidelné monitorování sociální situace v EU. V této souvislosti se tento indikátor těší rostoucí mediální pozornosti a zájmu uživatelů. Tématem předkládané práce je analýza tohoto indikátoru, jeho vlastností a vypovídací schopnosti. Úvodní část se zabývá teoretickými koncepty měření chudoby, vybranými indikátory pro měření chudoby a problematice dat o příjmech domácností. Druhá kapitola podrobně analyzuje definici indikátoru ?míra ohrožení chudobou? a jednotlivé její parametry. Prezentovány jsou odhady hodnot tohoto indikátoru v České republice pro populaci celkem a vybrané socioekonomické skupiny obyvatelstva spočtené z dat šetření Mikrocensus 2002. Třetí kapitola analyzuje citlivost výsledků na volbu dvou hlavních parametrů indikátoru ? procenta mediánu příjmu pro stanovení hranice chudoby a stupnice spotřebních jednotek použité pro přepočet disponibilních příjmů domácností. Kromě obvyklého srovnání několika referenčních hodnot je navrženo použití parametrického přístupu a empirických citlivostních křivek jako vhodného nástroje pro analýzu vývoje hodnoty indikátoru v závislosti na parametrech v jeho definici. Závěrečná část práce se pak věnuje vlastnostem odhadu míry ohrožení chudobou jako statistické veličiny a dopady, které tyto vlastnosti mohou mít na jeho interpretaci a používání.

Diplomová práce analyzuje poskytování rozvojové a humanitární pomoci Arménii zejména z hlediska jejího přispění k ekonomickému rozvoji země. Nejprve jsou zde výše zmíněné pojmy vymezeny a charakterizovaná problematika poskytování rozvojové pomoci obecně. Další část je věnována situaci v Arménii ? analýza historie a současné ekonomické situace, včetně problémů, které Arménie řeší. Dále je zde popsána rozvojová pomoc plynoucí do Arménie a uvedeny příklady problémů jednoho regionu a nástin projektů, které tyto problémy řeší. Na závěr je poskytovaná zahraniční pomoc Arménii zhodnocena.

Práce je věnována problému chudoby, který nejvíce postihuje rozvojové země. První část je věnována ukazatelům, pomocí kterých je možné chudobu v rozvojových zemích definovat a měřit. Tyto ukazatele jsou zaměřeny na příjem, spotřebu, zdravotní stránku obyvatelstva, vzdělání a další dimenze, které s chudobou souvisí. V druhé části je pozornost zaměřena na subsaharskou Afriku, která je z hlediska chudoby nejpostiženějším regionem. Analýza ekonomického vývoje a plnění Rozvojových cílů tisíciletí odhaluje hlavní příčiny prozatím neúspěšného efektivního snižování chudoby v této části afrického kontinentu.

This thesis deals with child labour, mostly in developing countries, which are also one of the poorest regions of the planet. The aim is to determine the method of comparative analysis here the emphasis on improving children's education can be a tool to eradicate both child labour and poverty. The thesis also deals with the idea that child labour is a consequence or cause of poverty. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts, such as child labour, childhood, the importance of education. The theoretical part also deals with international organizations such as ILO, UN and OECD which are actively involved in the fight for children's rights and actively promotes the idea of removing children from work. In the practical part of my thesis I examined whether in the past programs for reduction of child labour and increase education to be successful. I also discussed a unique approach to education of young workers in companies of Henry Ford and Thomas Milton Hershey and Jan Antonín Bata. In the practical part I analyze also a new approach to the eradication of child labour through education programs for reduction of child labor in India, primarily in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The goal of this work is to identify and analyse factors with impact on the income decrease of households under the poverty line. Data used in this work are taken from EU SILC survey. In this work is created a statistical model which help us to discover relevant and irrelevant factors. The situation and it's development is analysed only for Czech households in this work

The first chapter of this thesis is an introduction to issue of microfinance. This chapter is about characteristic, targets and social importance of microfinance loans and about birth and history where microfinance started to help and who is founder of microfinance. There is also describing of today's microfinance market, the distribution and characteristics every single microfinance regions: number of microfinance institution, gross loan portfolio and another main attribute for every region. The aim of next chapter is to review actual trends which are typical for microfinance sector. The most important trends are new products, separation microfinance institutions for profit and non-profit institutions, financial sources, rising regulation of microfinancial institution and changing quality of gross loan portfolio in time. The last chapter is about the quality of loan portfolio selected states from Latin Amerika and Asia where the impact of internal and macroeconomics variables to quality of gross loan portfolio is tested by regression model.

The aim of this work is to analyze and assess the financial situation of households in the Czech Republic in the period 2005 to 2009. The work also focuses on the assessment of the financial situation of households made up of unemployed and incomplete families with children. Additional analyses deal with the age aspect, municipality size and level of education of head of household. Then I will calculate the Gini coefficient and construct the Lorenz curve for the entire period 2005 - 2009 and regionally for year 2009.

The task of my diploma thesis which I wrote on the topic: The risk of poverty in Czech Republic, is to search for typical factors that can be considered as "risky" due to their impact to households income. The work is mainly focused on analysis of the situation in the Czech republic, compared to other member countries of the European Union. I focused in bigger detail for selected factors, such as the progress of the gross domestic product, inflation, unemployment, health status of population, education, risk of households from the view of the monetar poverty, material deprivation or social exclusion

The main goal of this diploma thesis is based on conceptual analysis and empirical research to assess the suitability of the concept of poverty culture (Oscar Lewis) for analyzing the situation of socially excluded people - specifically Roma - in the Czech Republic with emphasis on education. In the first part of the work I will focus on the analysis of key terms and concepts related to racism, ethnicity and especially the culture of poverty. The second part is devoted to the issue of Roma education in the Czech Republic. I will use the knowledge from these parts as a basis for the operationalization of the given conceptual field into a form usable for empirical research. The last part introduces the implementation of a qualitative research probe between teachers and teaching assistants in a selected socially excluded locality, which focuses mainly on their work motivation and approach to socially excluded localities, etc. My research shows that the concept of Oscar Lewis can be applied in a school environment.
