Further I was dealing with definition of free time and in addition I described briefly a town called Neratovice where children participated in my research live, visit the school or do some leisure activities. For the research, I selected a quantitative research method - four semi-standardized interviews with children threatened by social exclusion at the age of 6-11 years. In addition children drew a time schedule of their common week day and weekend day. In practical part I analyzed the data from research, compare it with the data from other researches and suggest some recommendation based on these data in theoretical context published in theoretical part. Ctnosti a hodnoty výbava komunitních pracovníků v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách. / Virtues and values - the equipment of community workers in socially excluded areas

VOMLELOVÁ, Aneta January 2016 (has links)
The thesis deals with the reflection of human practice of the comunnity worker´s profession in socially excluded areas, which is represented by good practise and experience of community workers from two socially excluded areas, in a more profound philosophical ethical context. The human being the community worker is the most important factor in community work. Their inner maturity, cultivating inner qualities and entrenched values are besides the knowledge of community work methodology what community workers together identify as a necessary prerequisite for the success. The thesis is divided in three chapters all of which follow the line of setting a theoretical historically philosophical view in the particular practice of a community worker in a socially excluded area. In the first chapter there is an insight into the theory of virtue ethics from the ancient times to the present days, along with the virtue definition, the deconstruction of cardinal and theological virtues and it also discusses how we acquire virtues. The second chapter deals with value ethics. The author tries to answer a question what is the core of values, which one stands above all, what is the way to the meaning of values and, by extension, of a human - being, what is the value definition. It also reflects the values formed by social exclusion. In the third chapter the author tried to take a look into the ethical practice of the community worker in a socially excluded area especially by means of dilemma which was presented and analyzed there.

Příjmová chudoba v ČR a účinnost systému sociálních transferů v její eliminaci v letech 2005-2013 / Income poverty in the Czech Republic and social transfer system effectiveness in its elimination in years 2005-2013

Kubelková, Karina January 2015 (has links)
The dissertation deals with the issue of poverty in the Czech Republic, especially with its economic, political and historical context of development, theory and practice of its measurement and possible international comparability, both in scale and in terms of the effectiveness of social transfers system. The effectiveness is understood as reducing the extent of poverty represented by the at-risk-of-poverty rate used e.g. in Europe 2020 Strategy. The aim of the dissertation is to analyze the problem of income poverty and its development in the Czech Republic with a special focus on the effectiveness of the social transfers system in relation to reducing the extent of income poverty. The effectiveness is analyzed separately in case of social transfers as a whole, and in case of social transfers excluding old-age and survivors' pensions. The emphasis has been placed on international comparisons and on the poorest layers of the population represented by the study of the lower poverty lines than the standard one. Based on empirical analysis of survey data from the EU-SILC, it was disproved that the effectiveness of the Czech social transfers system was above average compared to the countries of the same welfare state model, the CEE region and the EU during the years 2005-2013. The Czech pension system plays a crucial role in the level of effectiveness of the social transfers system. The good position of the Czech Republic among the all three studied groups of countries in terms of effectiveness is maintained mainly thanks to its pension system. The current low level of poverty rate was achieved mainly thanks to the pre-crisis measures, respectively due to the specific timing of these measures package. The contribution of this dissertation consists in complex and systematized view of the income poverty in the Czech Republic, accompanied by the analysis of the effectiveness of the social transfer system. This analysis, owing to the time series (2005-2013), applied methods (methods of the European Commission vs. IZA method) and scope of the international comparison (welfare state model, CEE region and EU), has no similarity in the Czech scientific literature so far.

Chudoba a sociální vyloučení: etická výzva české společnosti / Poverty and social exclusion: an ethical challenge for the Czech society

KOLÁŘOVÁ, Lucie January 2012 (has links)
The thesis deals with the role of the state and society in their attitudes to poverty and social exclusion. The introductory part aims at characterising the phenomenon of poverty and social exclusion, and deals with the issue of how the society perceives poverty. It focuses on the concept of the culture of poverty, and attention is given to the need of solidarity, social justice and the social state. The following part of my thesis deals with the extent of poverty and social exclusion in the Czech Republic, as well as possibilities of a social safety net in the Czech Republic. It describes particular examples of the manifestation of social exclusion and poverty in the Czech society, especially in the sphere of housing, opportunities in the labour market and falling into destructive debts. It sheds light on the situation of Romanies as the worst affected population group. The current situation in the Czech Republic shows that the attitude of the society to poverty as a personal fault and failure, impedes mutual solidarity, and generates strategies connected with repression that fail to understand the causes of poverty. For this reason, they cannot be adequately efficient. The society should react to, consider and efficiently solve poverty-related problems. Inspiration may be found in Christian ethics and its concept of human dignity.
