Karásek, David January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this paper is to assemble measurement chain dedicated to contactless measuring of acoustic fields emitted by test sources and to validate its results. At first author discusses possible optic methods which can be used to measure acoustic fields, then he talks about theoretical foundations which are needed to measure data and to reconstruct final data. The last two chapters are dedicated to cover basics about created program and to analyse various aspects which influence measured and reconstructed data. Created measurement chain is fully functional, at the end of this thesis are proposed some ways of improving

Implementace vybraných řidicích algoritmů pro FPGA / Implementation of selected control algorithms for FPGA

Bradáč, Martin January 2011 (has links)
A real-time computer cRIO-9073 supplied by National Instruments, together with the software tool LabVIEW is a versatile system used in many fields, for both research and practical tasks. This thesis deals with the possibilities of the system. It is aimed primarily at performance testing, identifying potential limitations and showing its practical use. The whole system has undergone testing through the use of programs covering the wide spectrum of utilisation. cRIO also allows the use of other software tools in its programming. This thesis explores the options of using Matlab/Simulink from MathWorks and the generation of VHDL code using a product of Xilinx. The aim is to compare the demands on the resources consumed, by the Field-programmable gate array (FPGA) in cRIO as well as the CPU load running the Real-time process.

This Master´s thesis engage in modeling of electric motions on CompactRIO platform with FPGA. Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is namely described, modeled and tested here. This thesis demonstrates the complete work procedure for modeling of electric motion and testing behavior of motor in real time. Various types of discretization are described here and model si discussed from accuracy same as from FPGA utilization point of view. The last part of this project describes testing comparison between created model and real PMSM motor and results from this testing.

Development of Reliability Test Rigs for Total Artificial Heart Pumps / Utveckling av reliabilitets-testanordningar för totalt artificiella hjärtpumpar

Besic, Alisa, Ogeborg, Martin January 2022 (has links)
The long-term performance of TAH pumps needs to be demonstrated. Reliability tests are performed to measure its ability to operate for months, or years, without failure. Real Heart is currently constructing test rigs for this purpose. Software for documenting test rig conditions is also required. Thus, the objective of this study is to assist in developing reliability test rig software.  The software is written in LabVIEW and is hosted on a CompactRIO controller. Requirements include sampling of sensor data, logging, and alarms. Additionally, a PC dashboard is constructed for monitoring real-time data, reviewing logs, as well as controls for acquisition. Results of this study present a foundation for the test rig software. It features a modular architecture which allows for future scalability. The process of development involves research of hardware/software, establishing a reference design and to build and validate each module through test simulations. Data acquisition is set up with the NI-DAQmx API. It features automatic configuration for thermocouple, as well as custom signal scaling of the pressure and flow transducers. However, grouping of data and synchronization for logging and alarms was a challenge. The producer/consumer design pattern is implemented for grouping data as well as synchronization for logging and alarms.

Genc, Murat 01 December 2007 (has links) (PDF)
In this research work, the control system of 16 MVAr, 13.8 kV TCR will be designed and digitally implemented. A Real-Time Control System (NI CompactRIOTM Reconfigurable I/O) and a Digital Platform (NI LabVIEWTM Gcode) are used in the digital implementation of TCR control system. The digital control system is composed of reactive power calculation, firing angle determination and triggering pulse generation blocks. The performance of control system will be tested in the field. The simulation results will also be compared with test data.

Experimental results from the Lysekil Wave Power Research Site

Svensson, Olle January 2012 (has links)
This thesis presents how experimental results, from wave power research performed offshore at the Lysekil research site, were obtained. The data were used to verify theoretical models as well as evaluate the feasibility of wave power as a future sustainable energy source. The first experiments carried out at the research site was the measurement of the force in a line where one end was connected to a buoy with a diameter of 3 m and the other end to a set of springs with limited stroke length. The system is exposed to high peak forces compared to average forces. The maximum measured force in the line, when the buoy motion is limited by a stiff stopper rope is ten times the average force in that particular sea state. The experiment performed on the first wave energy converter tested at the Lysekil Research Site is described. The infrastructure of the site is presented where the central connection point is the measuring station. The key finding is that it is possible to transform the motions of ocean waves into electrical energy and distribute it to land. Many wave energy converters must be interconnected if large amounts of energy are to be harvested from the waves. The first submerged substation intended for aggregation of energy from wave power converters is described, with focus on the measurement and control system placed inside the substation. During this experiment period the generators were equipped with many different sensors; these measurements are explained in the thesis. The system that aggregates power from the studied wave energy converter is regularly exposed to peak power of up to 20 times the maximum average output from the converter. Vertical and horizontal movement of the buoy has been measured in different ways. The result is that the vertical displacement of the buoy can be measured with a simple accelerometer circuit but it is much more complicated to measure the horizontal displacement. A special method for measuring the horizontal displacement has been implemented by measuring the strain in the enclosure and the force in the line. / Lysekils projektet

This diploma thesis deals with creation of elektromechanical model in Modelica language which is subsequently imported into LabVIEW environment. The Modelica language, LabVIEW graphical programming tool and Functional Mock-up Interface 2.0 standard are described in the introduction of this thesis. Functional Mock-up Interface is a tool independent standard witch, defines a standardized interface to ModelExchange and Co-simulation of complex system components. The model of electromechanical system was created based on Functional Mock-up Interface standard. Part of the work focuses on the Functional Mock-up Unit storage possibilities and LabVIEW support to import models of this type. The imported model was simulated and tested in this environment. Finally, the instance of Functional Mock-up Unit was connected with LabVIEW FPGA target for the purpose of model HIL simulation on CompactRIO platform.
