Komparativní výhody hospodářského prostředí v jednotlivých kantonech Švýcarska / The comparative adavantages of the economic environment of Swiss cantons

Mikysková, Madeleine January 2010 (has links)
The thesis discusses the comparative advantages of the different cantons of Switzerland. The aim is to compare the cantons, highlight their specifics and examine their main comparative advantages. In order to achieve this goal both PEST analysis and, at the end of each subchapter, SWOT analysis are used. After a methodological introduction Switzerland is first reviewed at a national level, so that it can be subsequently differentiated into individual cantons or groups of cantons. The first part reviews in detail four selected cantons, which are unique in their characteristics, i.e. Grisons, Ticino, Zurich and Geneve. Subsequently four groups of cantons are examined, namely Eastern, Central and French Switzerland as well as the cantons alongside the river Aare. For better clarity, all cantons are then compared based on major economic indicators, which allow conclusions on their comparative advantages. The final chapter deals with the Czech-Swiss trade cooperation, including not only the development and structure of mutual trade but also foreign direct investments. One of the conclusions reached is the significance of industry concentration and specialization, which represent one of the success factors of the Swiss economy. Another economic driver, which proves to be one of the determinants of cantons' comparative advantages, is the diversified tax burden.

Strategie valorizace životního minima v ČR / Strategy of Valorization of the Living Minimum in the Czech Republic

Kočová, Tereza January 2018 (has links)
Valorization of the subsistence minimum is an important step for the correct adjustment of the entire social system. There is insufficient importance attached to this topic in the Czech environment. This can be confirmed by the absence of research focused on the system of valorization. The aim of this work is to propose and test alternative strategies for valorization of the subsistence minimum in the Czech Republic, which could help to outline further steps for work with this institute in order to improve the standard of living of citizens. The work focuses on testing three alternative strategies. The first proposes a minimum living standard to increase the year-onyear inflation, the second option adjusts the subsistence minimum by expenses of the 20% of the poorest households, and the third scenario recalculates the actual values by subtracting 10% for adults and adding 15% to children. I subsequently tested these scenarios in SPSS on EU-SILC data. The results show that the valorization strategy based on the inflation rate does not really affect the subsistence level and also almost does not change the shift of people above the poverty line. On the other hand, the revaluation scenario according to expenses of the poorest 20% is very effective in increasing the income of the most deprived persons....

Curvas de maturação em cana energia / Maturation curves in energy cane

Silveira, Giovanni Módolo 27 June 2019 (has links)
The sugarcane industry has a consolidated importance in the agribusiness of Brazil, either by the expressive quantity of jobs generated or by its characteristic and capacity to produce in sustainable ways, in a moment where the world demand an increase for renewable energy sources. The main products obtained from sugarcane are sugar, ethanol, bioelectricity and biogas. In this scenario, the concept of energy cane returns, seeking to increase the energy efficiency of the agro-industrial energy sector and add new processes to generate value, such as the case of cellulosic ethanol and biogas production. Current energy cane materials are obtained by crossing between conventional cane varieties and more rustic species of the Saccharum genus. The result usually consists of a material with high production of biomass per unit area, having a low requirement of edaphoclimatic conditions, with lower diameter stems, lower sucrose content and higher accumulation of reducing sugars. Genetic materials with these characteristics can be used in commercial areas, improving the energy balance of the process and allowing the harvests to be extended. In the present work, three energy cane clones (C33, C34 and C35) and a sugarcane variety (IACSP942094) were investigated to study the maturation variation of these materials and to obtain the curves of maturation of each genetic material. The study was conducted at the Experimental Station of the \"Centro de Cana\", in Ribeirão Preto. The energy cane and sugarcane materials mentioned above were evaluated in the period from mid-May to the end of September, 2018. The parameters analyzed were cane mass, fiber content, pol, brix, reducing sugars and total reducing sugars. The energy cane clones presented an average yield of 200 t ha-1 and 27.5 to 50.67 t ha-1 of fiber, against 103 t ha-1 and 14 t ha-1 of fiber in conventional sugarcane. The clones presented reducing sugars contents of 3 to 5% until the apex of the maturation curves at the end of august and 1.2% at the end of the analyses period against an average value of 0.5% in sugarcane sucrose. In terms of total reducing sugars, the clones presented mean values of 8.45 to 14.94% against a 14.85 to 26.29% in conventional sugarcane. However, energy cane clones presented an average of 24.54 t of total reducing sugars ha-1 against 23.71 t of total reducing sugars ha-1 of conventional sugarcane, especially C35 material that obtained 27.37 t of total reducing sugars ha-1. Through the maturation curves, it can be concluded that the energy cane clones have competitive potential for the beginning to the medium harvest for ethanol and energy production or at the end of the harvest for sugar production, presenting greater flexibility in handling in relation to sugarcane. These characteristics are based on the different management strategies adopted.
