Avaliação de sistemas de videoconferência. / Evaluation of videoconference systems.

Leopoldino, Graciela Machado 05 September 2001 (has links)
This project aims to present concepts of videoconference, some considerations about scenarios and environment for videoconference users, considered at the time of the evaluation. In this project was done an evaluation of videoconference systems based in parameters established under ITU-T F.730 recommendation. Futhermore, it was possible establishing and validating a minimum set of parameters for evaluation which is usefull to choose videoconference systems.

Loudspeaker-Room Correction of Conference Rooms / Högtalar- och rumskorrigering av konferensrum

Edmark, Marcus January 2023 (has links)
In this Thesis a study on the subject on how to improve the overall sound quality within a room using signal processing, played back using a loudspeaker, was conducted. This is a subject that has gained attention during the recent years, with more and more consumer and professional products including it. The objective was to find techniques that offered perceptually good audio quality covering most of the room, while being robust and stable. The solution was to design a correction system which fulfilled these requirements and took advantage of today’s computing technology. This problem and its solution, as included in this Thesis, expose the reader to an introduction to loudspeaker system design and reproduction, room acoustics, psychoacoustics (how humans perceive sound), signal extraction (pre-processing) and filter design as well as design considerations for all of these components. Different ways that this system can be developed further were also discussed. This thesis was mainly based on the theory explained in Immersive Audio Signal Processing av S. Bharitkar and C. Kyriakakis [1]. The results of experiments show that a well-performing room correction system can be realized using a microphone with a known response and a computer. In most cases the improvement in both audible and measurable audio quality is considerable, with only a few cases where an improvement was not made. Using multiple measurement positions, positions of the microphone, led to a further improvement. On the other hand, it was also shown that having two well-positioned microphones was shown to be close to as performant as covering the whole room, even if a combination measurements over the whole listening area was the best performing approach.

Kaliariková, Beáta January 2018 (has links)
The theme of diploma thesis is design of convention center situated in area of BVV Trade Fairs Brno. The location of designed buildings is reacting on surrounding buildings and important compositional axes. The convention center is crossing axis leading from historical entrance and its front glass facades open the view for dominant feature of hotel zone in south part of area. The convention center is designed as two three-storey buildings connected by bridge with sightseeing terrace and main entrance underneath. The bigger building contains main convention hall with a maximal capacity of 2300 people, two halls with a capacity of 500 and 600 people and other conference and meeting rooms with various capacity. The other building contains plenary hall with a capacity of 1100 in circular seating arrangement. The buildings are connecting to pavillions C and B, which provide spaces for opening and exhibiton parts of cenvention events. Designed convention center provides spaces for big diversity of conventional events thanks to its capacities and location.

Nové brněnské hlavní nádraží a jeho veřejná prostranství / Brno New Train Station and its Public Spaces

Zrníková, Kamila January 2020 (has links)
The subject of proposal is a new dominant of the city of Brno. It is a building which will affect panorama of the city, a building which will be important part of a new South district and a new Brno Railway Station. The building will become orientation point in long-distance views as well as in the area. The proposal works with a building which is open and alive thanks to mix-use and public access on different height levels. Greenery forms the corner of the building and creates it’s identity. The base for architectural study became urban concept designed as a pre-diploma project. Important element of the concept is axis which draws the greenery from the river Svratka into the area and connects it with the new station. The Europoint – proposed building – becomes termination of the axis. The building is situated on a unique site which requires unique concept. The motive of the house is greenery and future vision of buildings which enrich surroundings in some ways. The basic volume is triangular and uses area of the site on maximum level with corner towards boulevard. This corner becomes the central element, especially from entry and view from the boulevard. I recreated the corner using vegetation into green and living. The green corner gives a new perspective on creating exposed corners, adds value to the urban area and creates identity of the building. The green motive intertwines with the building from entrance hall up to the bar at the highest floor. The volume of the building is defined by the inside usage and then form follows function. When choosing the functions I took into account needs of the area and took advantage of high-rise building. Commercial areas in the ground floor, administration centre of Czech Railways and conference rooms were created. The administrative use is added by co-working in the middle if the building, the upper part offers flats with view over Brno and in the crown is the highest placed bar in Brno.

Polyfunkční dům / Polyfunctional house

Kuklová, Jana January 2022 (has links)
The main aim of the thesis is to design a new building of the mixed-use building in Brno. The building consists of two parts. One part consists of shops. The second part consists of offices and conference space. It is a building that has three floors above ground and one underground. In the basement there are a facilities and a garage. Shops are designed on the ground floor. There are offices on the second floor. Conference rooms are on the third floor. The building has a flat roof. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from Porotherm ceramic blocks. In the core of the building, the vertical load bearing structures are designed as monolithic reinforced concrete walls. Columns are used in the building for the possibility of open space. The masonry of the basement consists of white bathtub. The floors are designed as folded from the Spiroll system. Internal non-load-bearing walls are designed from gypsum board with double cladding. The second part of the work deals with forced ventilation, cooling and central heating. In the third part of the project I deal with acoustics. The project was carried out in the Auotocad program. All constructions comply with valid standards and regulations.
