Beredskap eller kapprustning : Något om de gotländska kastalerna / Preparedness or arms race : Something about the Gotlandic towersEngvall, adam January 2020 (has links)
This paper studies the stone towers on Gotland which are known as kastal in Swedish. This paper aims to answer the question of why they were built and also who ordered their construction. In order to answer these questions, the aim of this paper is to contextualise the kastal by understanding their construction chronology. In order to accomplish this, both the activities and the political actions that have been linked to the kastal by other scholars and analysed. Those activities include trade, Medieval ideologies, the Baltic crusades and residential farms. A case study is also made through researching the kastal's function, form,age and the artefacts found within them. The research conducted here indicates that no clear originator can be determined , although it is clear that some social organisation was the driving force behind the building phase. This is seen for example at Bulverket, a wooden fort built in Lake Tingstäde in northern Gotland during the twelfth century, showing the Gotlanders were able to organise and coordinate building structures on a massive scale. Whether this organisation was formed around a single aristocratic individual or around a collective group, cannot be determined within this paper. It seems that no direct link can be said to place all the kastal within one unified phase or singular incident. However, the differnet activities analysed in this research could have had a significant impact in the construction of the towers.

Science classes, by students from the ninth grade of Elementary School Alessandro
Miguel, in Inhumas / GO. The Elementary School students have difficulty to
understand the physical phenomena presented in expositive classes, verbal and
theoretical, and can not relate them to real situations of everyday life. The teaching
strategy was to develop low cost experiments seeking to create a stimulating
environment of reflective thinking, which, according to Dewey, is the best way of
thinking We verified that, by joining theory and practice, students were able to better
understand the physical concepts. In addition, the students proved very enthusiastic
and interested in more dynamic classes, "theoretical-practical" classes. / Neste trabalho, relatamos como foi recebida a utilização de experimentos de baixo
custo, nas aulas de Ciências, pelos alunos do nono ano do Ensino Fundamental da
Escola Municipal Alessandro Miguel, em Inhumas/GO. Os alunos do Ensino
Fundamental têm dificuldades em compreender os fenômenos físicos apresentados
em aulas expositivas, verbalistas e teóricas, e não conseguem relacioná-los com
situações reais do nosso cotidiano. A estratégia de ensino foi desenvolver
experimentos de baixo custo buscando criar um ambiente estimulador do
pensamento reflexivo, o qual, segundo Dewey é a melhor maneira de pensar,
inserindo o conteúdo no cotidiano dos alunos para diminuir a separação entre a vida
e a escola. Verificamos que, unindo a teoria e a prática, os alunos conseguiram
entender melhor os conceitos físicos. Além disso, os educandos se mostraram
bastante entusiasmados e interessados por aulas mais dinâmicas, aulas “teóricopráticas”.

Previous issue date: 2011-08-10 / This project became real due to the researcher's interest in new approaches to teaching and in implementing a transdisciplinary teaching proposal. In this case, the proposal consisted of a reading assignment, under different perspectives, of a Machado de Assis's short story. The project was based on Edgar Morin's ideas of the complexity of knowledge of different subjects, and traditional school's simplistic approaches to learning, were questioned. Contextualizing and integrating were the objectives of the work developed by teachers of Reading and Writing Texts, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, History , subjects that together with Academic-Scientific and Cultural Activities, are part of the freshman year of the School of Pedagogy at "Faculdade de Ciências Aplicadas e Tecnológica do Litoral Sul/FACSUL". Transdisciplinary projects of such kind may be applicable at any school level, aiming to create a valuable dialogue between areas of knowledge, and also to achieve a more significant and contextualized learning. / O presente projeto nasceu do interesse do pesquisador por novos paradigmas para o ensino e por implementar uma proposta didático-pedagógica transdisciplinar. Neste caso a proposta consistiu na leitura crítica, através de diferentes perspectivas, de um conto de Machado de Assis. Postulou-se, com base nas ideias de Edgar Morin, a complexidade das relações entre as diferentes áreas do conhecimento e se questionaram padrões reducionistas, característicos da filosofia de ensino tradicional. Contextualizar e integrar foram os objetivos do trabalho desenvolvido com os professores de Leitura e Produção de Textos, Filosofia, Sociologia, Psicologia e História, disciplinas que compõem, juntamente com Atividades Acadêmico-Científico-Culturais (AACC), a matriz curricular do primeiro semestre do curso de Pedagogia da Faculdade de Ciências Aplicadas e Tecnológicas do Litoral Sul/FACSUL. Projetos transdisciplinares como este, aplicáveis em todos os níveis, objetivam religar as áreas do conhecimento e valorizar o diálogo entre os saberes, de forma significativa e contextualizadora.
