The work contains a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes selected economic indicators, regression analysis, time series and correlation analysis. In the practical part, the analysis of selected economic indicators will be carried out and then statistical methods will be used to determine the prediction for the next year and to reveal the dependence between the individual indicators. The last part of the thesis deals with proposals that will improve the financial situation of the company.

Akustická analýza Mozartova efektu a jeho působení u pacientů s epilepsii / Acoustic analysis of Mozart effect and its effect in patients with epilepsy

Zemánek, Václav January 2018 (has links)
The music, in generaly, can calm down a human internally. The effect of Mozart’s music can even be measured. Students, who listened Mozart’s music, had higher IQ result and epileptiform activity is describing on patients with epilepsy. This master’s thesis is dealing with design of the evaluation system, which can determine music parameters describing epileptiform activity. In the solution is make detailed analysis of the tracks, signal parameterization, description of data processing and make the Pearson correlation analysis. In the final chapter are described music parameters, which suppress epileptiform activity in the women and the man.

Budík, Lukáš January 2011 (has links)
This dissertation deals with analysis of current side canal by means of neural network. First part describes basis of cryptografy and dilemma of side canal. In the second part is theoretickly described neural network and correlative analysis. Third part describes practical analysis of calibres of current side canals by means of classifier which uses neural network in Matlab surrounding. This classifier is confronted with classifier which uses correlative analysis.

Correlation Analysis of Calcium Signalling Networks in Living Cells

Nilsson, Erik January 2008 (has links)
In living cells, calcium ions (Ca2+) play an important role as an intracellular second messenger. It mediates the regulation of cellular processes such as gene expression, initiation of vesicle fusion in synapses, is used in muscle contraction and is believed to play a fundamental role in synaptic plasticity as a molecular substrate for learning. The Ca2+ signals are created by the fact that the concentration of Ca2+ in the cytosol is four orders of magnitude lower than in the extracellular fluid as well as in cytoplasmic compartments such as the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). This enables fast increments in the cytosol concentration, which is regulated back to normal concentration by different mechanisms. In this project, the connection between Ca2+ signals of different cells was analysed using different correlation techniques: cross-correlation of continuous signals and digitalised signals. Therefore a software tool was developed in MATLAB, which takes Ca2+ recordings from time-lapse fluorescence microscopy as input and calculates the pair wise correlation for all cells. The software was tested by using previous data from experiments with embryonic stem cells from mouse (mES) and human (hES) as well as data from recordings done as part of the project. The study shows that the mathematical method of cross-correlation can successfully be applied to quantitative and qualititative analysis of Ca2+ signals. Furthermore, there exist strongly correlated cells in colonies of mES cells and hES cells. We suggest the synchronisation is achieved by physical coupling implicating a decrease of correlation as the distance increases for strong correlations. In addition, the lag used by the cross-correlation function (an effective phase shift) decreases as the correlation coefficient increases and increases as the intercellular distance increases for high correlation coefficients. Interestingly, the number of cells included in small scale clusters of strongly correlated cells is significantly larger for the differentiating mES cells than for the proliferating mÉS cells. In a broader perspective, the developed software might be usd in for instance analysis of cellular electrical activity and shows the relevance of applying methods from the exact sciences to biology. / QC 20100708

Vliv územní infrastruktury na regionální rozvoj / Influence of territorial infrastructure on regional development

Netuka, Vojtěch January 2022 (has links)
This bachelor thesis deals with the determination of influence of territorial infrastructure on regional development. Basic concepts of the issue and a procedure of the construction of a composite indicator are explained in the theoretical part. Methodology of work lies in the creation of two composite indicators characterizing areas of territorial infrastructure and regional development using appropriate input statistical data. These indicators are then subjected to a correlation analysis.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Movies for Multivariate Analysis of Speech

McRoberts, Katherine 04 September 2013 (has links)
The complex human motor function of speech presents a scientifically interesting, yet relatively unexplored, means to study brain-behavior relationships. Fortunately, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which has been proven to characterize soft tissue excellently, has recently become a promising technique for the study of speech. MRI\'s contributions in speech research could lead to new and individualized treatment for speech disorders. Although many studies have shown that MRI can capture information about speech, this project sought to determine what covert information could be disclosed from MRI movies through multivariate analysis. The articulation of phoneme pairs was imaged using a novel sequence, and simultaneously recorded. The data were then analyzed using support vector machine (SVM) analysis and canonical correlation analysis (CCA). Determination of classification accuracy through SVM analysis revealed that phoneme pairs were distinguishable from one another consistently over 90% of the time using information found from MRI movie clips of the speech. Additionally, study of the SVM weights demonstrated that SVM could identify regions of the vocal tract that are used to form auditory distinctions between the phonemes. Finally, CCA revealed relationships between images and the frequencies in corresponding audio waveforms; once again, the speech articulators were identified as lending maximum correlation to the sound profile. These promising results demonstrate that multivariate analysis can uncover information that is known to be true concerning speech production. These analyses may perhaps even contribute to existing knowledge and thus provide a platform from which to advance the treatment of speech dysfunction. / Master of Science

Vztah mezi patologickým nakupováním a materialismem u nelékařských zdravotnických pracovníků: korelační dotazníkové šetření / The relationship between Pathological Buying and Materialism in paramedical staff: correlation survey

Pousková, Eliška January 2021 (has links)
Resources: The topic of this Master's thesis is oniomania, or in other words, pathologic shopping and how it is affected by an individual's materialistic value orientation. Pathologic shopping refers to an unmanageable urge to buy something, to order, to own a thing. For the needs of this thesis, materialism is understanded as the conviction that gaining material goods is the ultimate life goal, main index of success and key to happiness. Based on the research, materialism is considered to be a significant predictor of oniomania. Aims and methodology: The main aim of this thesis was to describe the relationship between pathologic shopping and materialism. Then prevalence of pathologic shopping was further detected in the focus group which consisted solely of non-medical health care staff as well as the prevalence of age and income. The research also focused on circumstances and consequences of pathological shopping. 853 respondents participated in this correlation research based on data gained from the survey. Main results: With use of correlation analysis it was found that rising rate of materialism leads to higher tendency to shopping compulsively. 55 impulsive shoppers were identified in the research sample which makes it 6,45 % of the total number of respondents. The results showed that neither...

Užití kvalitativního modelování při řešení problematiky spojené s externím ratingovým hodnocením / The use of qualitative modeling in solving problems associated with external credit rating

Krejčíř, Jaroslav January 2014 (has links)
The doctoral dissertation studies applications of the methods of qualitative modelling to solve problems associated with external credit ratings. Qualitative modelling is a tool which can solve tasks under shortage of relevant information items. Correlation analysis is used if relevant data sets are available and complement the qualitative analysis. External credit rating assessments are closely related to possibilities of insolvency of business entities and the subsequent bankruptcies. Mutual interlinks of bankruptcy probabilities and qualitative models are presented in details. Two specific models are given. Due to the adopted legislative measures were also tested match of the ratings from a variety of external credit rating agencies using cluster and correlation analysis. The above mentioned results are used to develop a qualitative model of external credit ratings, which is the main outcome of this dissertation. The results of model scenarios of assessment of the influence of regulation external credit rating on the business entity, investors, as well as regulatory authorities are presented in details.
