<p>The company GEMS PET Systems produces cyclotrons which is a type of particle accelerator. The cyclotrons create log files that are analyzed by the company’s employees for different purposes like troubleshooting or installation. The purpose of the project is to with a usage-centered design method create a paper prototype of a tool that will help the employees to analyze the log files in a more efficient way than earlier.</p><p>The result shows how the usage-centered design method was used to create the paper prototype and how the user interface was created according to human-computer interaction (HCI).</p>

Denna rapport behandlar framtagningen av en webbapplikation som hanterar och visar data grafisktfrån en databas. Den data som skrivs in i databasen kommer från två sensorer som ska läsa av dåfluor-18 passerar i tre parallella rör. Orsaken till att denna applikation efterfrågas är ett problem medproduktionsstopp från cyklotron orsakat av att ämnen fastnar i rören som ligger ingjutna och är svåraatt komma åt. Detta ska bli ett verktyg för att både felsöka var stoppet uppkommit och för att seändringar i transporttiden för att hantera problemet innan produktionsstoppet uppstår.Resultatet är en webbapplikation som kan visa data från både en vald tidsperiod och i realtid.Databasen kan uppdateras för att registrera vilket rör som användes i efterhand. Sekundära måletmed syfte att räkna ut tömningstiden mellan mätpunkterna kunde inte uppnås då fokus låg pågrundfunktionerna. Som slutsats kan fortsatt utveckling av applikationen vara till stor nytta för dessändamål som verktyg. / This report was made for the development of a web application for handling and presenting datafrom a database graphically. The data in the database comes from two sensors that are placed in twodifferent spots along a collection of three parallel pipes and read the passing of fluor-18. The reasonfor requesting the creation of this application is because of a production blockage caused by isotopesgetting stuck in the pipes and since the pipes are hard to access. In other words, this application isplanned to be used as a tool to both easier find which section the stop is in as well as to find thecause and stop the blockage before it becomes a problem.The resulting web application has one function that shows graphs of the data within a selectedtimeframe as well as a function that shows the real time data without refreshing the webpage and aselected path/pipe along with a functional view that updates the database by selected timeframe andchosen path. Because of a lack of time, the secondary goal to calculate the time of passage was notmet. It can thus be concluded that further development of the application would be beneficial foradded ease of use as a tool.

Characterization of haptoglobin glycoforms in human serum Petra Darebná (Katedra biochemie, Přírodovědecká fakulta, Univerzita Karlova v Praze, Česká republika) Changes in glycosylation of proteins are associated with several types of cancer, including hepatocelular carcinoma and colorectal carcinoma. This project deals with data independent analysis using ion cyclotron resonance with Fourier transform and tandem mass spectrometry with liquid chromatogramy and multiple reaction monitoring to quantify these changes in hepatocelular cancinoma and colorectal carcinoma with liver metastases. In the first part of the project the haptoglobin was enriched from pooled serum samples of pacients with hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer and colorectal carcinoma with metastases using hemoglobin immobilized on CNBr-activated Sepharose 4B and then purified by high pressure liquid chromatography. Individual haptoglobin glycopeptides were analyzed using ion cyclotron resonance with Fourier transform. In the second part of the project we analyzed changes in glycosylation depending on diferent tumor diseases in partially depleted serum of individual patients using ethanol precipitation.
