Prezidentské volby v historii československého státu / Presidential elections in the history of the Czechoslovak state

Januš, Jan January 2011 (has links)
1 Abstract in English Thesis Presidential Elections in the history of the Czechoslovak state confronts individual successful Presidential Elections in the history of the Czechoslovak state from 1918 to 1992. Thesis describes its legislative forms (written level from acts) and its real processes (practical level from shorthand record and other sources) too. These two levels are compared to each other. Except it, the thesis compares Presidential Elections in the democratic state and in the period, when the Communist Party controls the Elections. Why I choose this theme? I would like to answer on some questions from introduction, for example: Does something connect something individual Presidential Elections? What was characteristic for the Elections in the democracy and in the communistic regime? Was there something unconstitutional from the Elections? Can knowledge of the historical evolution contribute discussions about the Presidential Election at present? The thesis is divided to seven chapters. First chapter has two subchapters, the first one (in four parts) is about legal regulations of the Presidential Election from 1918 to 1920, the second one describes first T. G. Masaryk's presidential election. It was uncontrolled election with acclamation. Second chapter presents in first subchapter (and its four...

Československá kolonie ve Francii v letech 1918-1940. Postoj mateřské země k expatriotům. / Czechoslovak Immigrants in France, 1918-1940. The Mother Land's Attitude to the Expatriates.

Preradová, Jarmila January 2016 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the analysis of attention paid and care given by Czechoslovakia to its compatriots in France during the time period between World Wars 1 and 2. First four chapters are dedicated to the background of later research into the subject. These chapters gradually outline the situation concerning Czech and Slovak emigrants in France, the structure and development of Czechoslovak compatriot associations in France, summary of Czechoslovak government institutions as well as private organizations providing care for Czechoslovak compatriots abroad, followed by an outline of emigrant congresses where the migrants presented their needs and the associated effort to raise awareness about the lives of emigrants in their homeland. Principal merit of this thesis is in its actual research into the attitude of Czechoslovakia towards its compatriots from social, cultural and religious viewpoints, partially even from the economic standpoint but this sector is mostly interwoven into other chapters. The present author reached the conclusion that despite a substantial number of organizations engaged in this matter, care for compatriots provided by Czechoslovakia was inadequate in its entirety, both in the sphere of financial, material or spiritual support and in terms of relatively weak...

Komunistická strana Československa v období tzv. normalizace / Czechoslovak Communist Party in the Period of "Normalisation"

Štefek, Martin January 2017 (has links)
The dissertation analyses the dynamics of the non-democratic Czechoslovak regime during the era of so-called "normalisation". Methodologically, this is a "heuristic case study", an inductive inquiry oriented on finding a new hypothesis, focused on theory building, not theory confirming. Conceptually, it follows a "pluralistic" framework, primarily using Skilling's typology of Soviet-type authoritarianism. The aim of this thesis is to answer the following question: "What mechanism in the Soviet-type authoritarian structure had to change to induce "pluralization" of the regime?" The dissertation is divided into three parts: First, I present a description of an intellectual context of the emergence of "pluralism" in the field of so called "Sovietology". Notably, I focus on the preconditions of the "rise and fall" of totalitarian theory. Employing the "building-block technique", I consider "consultative authoritarianism" in the GDR to formulate a preliminary hypothesis on the connection between degrees of pluralism and the way leaders of the Party exercised cadre policy. The second section, derived from archival research, primarily concentrates on exploring the changes in the nomenklatura system in 1960s and early 1970s. In the third, concluding section, I formulate new hypothesis and present an explanatory...

Diploma thesis "Constitutional transformation and dissolution of Czechoslovak Federation after November 1989" is focused on legislative reflection of political changes in a federation in which one of the two nations' state-law ambitions have never been sufficiently fulfilled. First part of this diploma thesis describes the origination of Czechoslovak Federation in 1968, interruption of the federalization processes in the times of so-called normalizations and continuance of this process after the changes in 1989 including drafts of a communist constitution and an opposition constitution towards the end of this year. This diploma thesis discusses the process of Czechoslovak cinema in the fifties and sixties of the 20th century in the communist régime and under the Soviet influence. Labour analysis one of the most exciting period of Czechoslovak history in which alternated years of heavy dictation with years of social and cultural release. The first part focuses on the issue of nationalization of the film in the early fifties. The second part deals with the circumstances of the beginning of the brightest period of Czechoslovak cinema, new wave. The third part describes consequences that August 1968 and subsequent standardization had for local filmmakers. Throughout the work are surveyed facts commented by former protagonists of the time, Antonin Jaroslav Liehmem and Jiri Menzel, who gave interviews for the purposes of this study, the full text of these interviews are also included at the end. The goal is to find answers to questions about how much the Czechoslovak cinema was influenced by the Soviet Union, than if nationalization of cinematography had only negative or even some positive consequences, whether the emergence of a new wave was just an accidental phenomenon or if it was the inevitable answer to the former policy and whether it could be possible to the new wave arise in today's conditions.

Miloslav Troup jako ilustrátor / Miloslav Troup as illustrator

Turbák, Michal January 2018 (has links)
Miloslav Troup as an Illustrator Abstract This diploma thesis deals with Czechoslovakian graphic artist Miloslav Troup (1917 - 1993), whose extensive and varied artistic activity took place mainly in the second half of the 20th century encompassing a whole spectrum of art disciplines. However, the thesis aims to comprehensively analyze only one of them, his illustration work. It is written with regard to the concept of chronological order, which has been already successfully used in my bachelor thesis. That was focused on Troup's illustrating work for children and teenagers. This thesis, however, offers deeper insight into the aforementioned issue. The artist's book illustrations from each period are analyzed and presented in the context of his other works of illustration and fine art. The analysis also deals with the art techniques Troup used and the formal component of his work. In a few important cases, Troup's illustration is confronted with the works and art style of other artists coming from the same background. Moreover, each section also briefly outlines the political and cultural situation for the purpose of helping the reader to better understand the general context of the period in which the illustrator created. The thesis also attempts to map Troup's life and the phases of his artistic...
