Ve své diplomové práci jsem se zabýval dokumentem Pařížská deklarace o efektivitě rozvojové pomoci. Deklarace stanovuje závazky a cíle do roku 2010 týkající se způsobů poskytování pomoci a podporuje tak dosažení rozvojových cílů tisíciletí. Sledoval jsem vývoj od roku 2005 a jak se tento dokument promítnul do politik zemí a organizací, především dárců.. Na příkladu Moldavska a Kambodži pak uvádím jak probíhá implementace tohoto dokumentu v politikách rozvojových zemí. Velká pozornost je přitom věnována Evropské unii a České republice. V závěru hodnotím přínos Deklarace, její pozitiva a slabá místa. V souvislosti s rozvojovou politikou obecně navrhuji řešení k větší efektivitě pomoci.

When observing the values which repeatedly appear in early American literature, we encounter ideas such as liberty, freedom, or the importance of the individual, but while property and ownership are often also core ideas and motivations for many Americans, their appearance is much more limited and excluded from certain contexts. However, property was always a key issue and economic profitability was always considered as foremost both on political and individual level. This can be seen all throughout American history since its beginning until the present, yet there is the curious trend of downplaying the importance of property in politically oriented text. While no one questioned its value in the past, Americans outwardly replaced property with liberty. Nevertheless, its importance cannot be hidden so easily and through careful examination it is shown as being understood as a pre-requisite of freedom and security, even as it is never the central focus of any major early American political text. This work is dedicated to the "Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness", a document which was signed in 2005. This declaration was designed to eliminate serious issues occurring during the distribution of development aid and also to contribute to the successful completion of the Millennium Development Goals through the increase of aid effectiveness. In the first part of this thesis several shortages that the development community has had to face are outlined. A detailed analysis of the document follows in the second chapter, also including an evaluation of the progress achieved from 2005 to 2008 when the last report on the status of implementing the Paris Declaration was issued. Special attention is given to the influence of the document over the policies of the World Bank, European Union and the Czech Republic. The illustration of implementing the Paris Declaration into policies of developing countries has been made using Ethiopia and Cambodia as examples. Finally, this work is concluded by evaluating the effects of the Paris Declaration on the system of development aid.

This thesis deals with EU development cooperation and efforts to increase its efficiency. One of the most important commitments to increase efficiency was the Paris Declaration. The document, whose main goal was to help meet the MDGs, was adopted in 2005 in response to insufficient level of cooperation. The European Union and its member states were amongst its signatories. The first chapter defines development cooperation, concept of its effectiveness and important documents, which address the issue of development cooperation effectiveness. The second chapter contains an analysis of the EU development cooperation, including the review of basline situation in 2005 and progress in following years based on series of published surveys on progress. The last chapter discusses the results of efforts to improve effectiveness, challenges and future development cooperation framework.

The end of the Cold War changed radically the international environment as well as the scope of development aid and cooperation within it. The development agenda in the new millenium has started to significantly focus on the develpment aid effectiveness. In this context the use of the instrument of budget support is rising. The thesis aims to assess the concept of the partnership general budget support and the way it responds to the requirements imposed on development aid mainly by the Paris Declaration On Aid Effectiveness in 2005.

The Czechs and Germans have been neighbours in the Central Europe since centuries. Due to the course of history, some discrepancies might be still present in the mutual Czech-German relations. To solve these historical issues, a "Czech-German declaration" was signed in 1997. The main task of this thesis is to analyse the Czech-German relations after the signature of the declaration. The German point of view is stressed while dealing with the topic. The first chapter explains the development of the Czech-German relations since founding of the Czechoslovakia in 1918 until the signature of the Czech-German declaration. The second chapter deals with the declaration itself. The third chapter refers to the detailed analysis of the Czech-German relations on both -- the bilateral and multilateral levels. On bilateral level, the political, business, cultural relations and other forms of mutual cooperation are being discussed. The cooperation between Czech Republic and Germany in the international organisations, specifically the European Union and NATO, is the main subject of the multilateral dimension of the Czech-German relations that this paper deals with.

The thesis analyses development cooperation in Kenya, including an example of personally realized development project. The goal of the thesis is to find out what is the current state and direction of development cooperation in Kenya, demonstrate some of the problems of Kenya and their possible solutions using an example of personally visited region and realized development project and to determine whether this project corresponds to the current trend of development cooperation in the world and in Kenya. The first chapter characterizes the current political, economic and social situation on Kenya. Following parts analyze the Kenyan development strategies and current trends in the area of development cooperation at the global level and in Kenya. The last chapter describes personally realized development project which is then evaluated from the point of view of new paradigm of development cooperation and concerning the overall impact.

Territorial Asylum The aim of this thesis is to analyse the topic of territorial asylum as an ancient and withstanding institute of international law. The main research questions are as follows: What constitutes territorial asylum? Can it be considered a basic human right from the viewpoint of each individual? Does this right include asylum or only the opportunity to seek it? Does the state of origin have a right to respond in some way to the granting of asylum? Can it be considered an unfriendly act? This thesis is divided into six main chapters, each of which attempts to view this institute from a different perspective and answer the given questions. The first chapter separates asylum and refugee status, institutes that are often mistaken, and defines the fundamental differences between them. It also describes the historical development of asylum and the differentiation between religious, territorial, political and diplomatic asylum. The following chapter focuses on the definition of territorial asylum and how it is described by various law dictionaries. From these definitions, society's view on territorial asylum is conveyed. This work concerns with legislative changes which had direct influence on guarantee of human rights in PRC in the period of Hu Jintao's party chairmanship. Firstly the theoretic base of conception of human rights in PRC and in the world, which has been already compiled by specialists of humanrights and sinologists, is outlined. The specifics of humanright conception in dependency of historical conditions are explained. Then the method of research is introduced and concrete historical connections in given period, which is the basis for evaluation of legislative changes, are explained. These legal changes are analyzed in following chapter. Final summary sums up results, confronts them with initial expectations and presents general principles which are asserted during the formation of a new humanright legislative nowadays.

The aim of this thesis is to clarify the issues of customs declaration on the specific example within the company Damco Czech Republic s.r.o. in Jaromer in the Eastern Bohemia. An export to Russian federation by international truck transport was chosen as an example, which means transport from Jaromer to Moscow. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the most signifiant pieces of information about the current state of customs issues in the Czech Republic but also within the European Union. Also it contains my opinions on the process of customs declaration and work of customs officer in the Damco CR s.r.o.
