Strategický benchmarking plánování rozvoje cestovního ruchu / Strategic Benchmarking related to the Planning of Tourism Development

The presented dissertation thesis deals with a set of problems related to the strategic planning of tourism development in the context of tourism policy. By making full use of the strategic benchmarking method, the thesis tries to make a certain contribution to the improvement of strategic planning in tourism which represents an important factor of tourism destination competitiveness. The objective of the presented dissertation thesis is to postulate and in practice verify a methodology related to strategic benchmarking, aimed at regional tourism development strategies and at selected aspects of the process of their formation. The dissertation thesis postulates a complex procedure thus making it possible to evaluate and compare the tourism developing strategies of the Czech, Slovak and British regions on the basis of stipulated criteria and fuzzy scales. This procedure is implemented into an on-line evaluating application, which can be used by key regional actors for the evaluation of the particular developing strategies. The evaluation results are used for benchmarking gap analysis and for selection of suitable benchmarking partners by means of fuzzy TOPSIS method. Consequently, selected partners are submitted to an external benchmarking investigation focused on methods of how to create strategies, and managerial approaches to planning. The acquired information is used for an identification of good practices for a regional planning of tourism development.

The master's thesis deals with the importance of information and communication technologies (ICT) for destination marketing. At first define the current status of ICT in tourism and subsequently constitutes e-marketing tools and are initially listed tools which can destination motivate potential visitors, and then presents the information sources during their stay. This master's thesis aims to analyze e-marketing tourist area Kladske pomezi and using questionnaire to find out importance ICT for tourists. Primarily, what technologies are used while traveling and for what purposes. Afterwards, to find out what information to tourism participants in the terrain most lacking, how they evaluate a website Kladske pomezi and what information is most lacking at the websites of destinations. Subsequently derive conclusions and determine recommendations for destination management and marketing Kladske pomezi.

Title: Sport Tourism and its Influence on Development of Regions Objectives: The objective of the thesis is to introduce the sport tourism as a convenient tool for the regional development, to find out if the regions think about it in this way nowadays and how the sport tourism is incorporated in the strategic documents if so. The finding if the sport tourism is considered as a separate branch or if it is still divided into sport and tourism industry is also remarkable. This thesis sets the target to outline the different ways of the sport tourism application in a regional development and to determine certain recommendations as well. Methods: The methods used at research are qualitative content analysis and semi- structured interview. The analysis is used for the strategic documents of regions and the interviews are held with the regional representatives and the private institution agents chosen by a snowball sampling. Subsequently, a holistic analysis and an interpretation of discovered results are made. Results: I have revealed that sport and tourism are both part of the strategic documents of the regions, but no region uses the term 'sport tourism' in these documents. This dissertation deals with the visual perception of the destination types of the Czech Republic used for tourism purposes. Methods of quantitative content analysis, questionnaire containing visual method, eye tracking and Q-method are used to identify the crucial factors that affect the perception of the destination types and visualized persons. Analysis of these factors is conducted. Analysis of destination types characteristic for the Czech Republic results in the abstraction of recommendations that may be used mostly in the management of the destination types.

This diploma thesis deals with the introduction of direct air routes and their influ-ence on the development of tourism in the destination. The theoretical background is thematically elaborated within the framework of literature review, the methodology is then based on available foreign studies, together with methods for primary data collection. The practical part begins with the analysis of the higher territorial administrative unit and then applies the methodology within the case study for the South Moravian Region. Graphical and statistical evaluations of the obtained data are completed with comments. Based on the results, recommendations for stakeholders are formulated.

Vlachová, Š. Loyalty to the destination. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The thesis deals with loyalty to the Moravian Karst region and its surroundings. In the first part of the work a literary research was made using Czech and foreign secondary sources. In the second part of the thesis a questionnaire survey was conducted, to which 408 respondents answered. Based on the results of this survey, visitors' satisfaction with the destination and their loyalty to it was examined. With the help of regression analysis and IPA analysis, the factors that most affect the satisfaction and loyalty of visitors were identified and recommendations for destination management were formulated based on this information.

An inseparable part is also an opinion poll (investigation) among local residents. The main target of this thesis is to evaluate the management organization in this destination, to carry out the study of the primary and secondary tourism offer and also to evaluate the presentation and promotion of this area and introduce proper suggestions and recommendations for improvement of management and promotion. Part of the thesis is also author's own research of preferences of potential visitors, image and the research of attitude of locals to visitors. Also the PEST analysis of this destination was carried out and then was created the list of strenghts and weaknesses of the tourist area and the list of opportunities and threats for the next development of tourism.
