Machovec, Petr January 2021 (has links)
Title: Microstructure and properties of multiferroic complex oxide thin films prepared by pulsed laser deposition method Author: Petr Machovec Department: Department of Condensed Matter Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Milan Dopita, Ph.D., Department of Condensed Matter Physics Abstract: In the frame of this thesis, structure, microstructure, and real structure of multiferroic epitaxial layers of LuFeO3 were studied by means of X-ray reflectivity and X-ray diffraction. In theoretical part the theory of X-ray scattering on crystalline layers is described. Standard description of X-ray reflectivity on series of rough layers is presented. Moreover, a model of X-ray scattering on mosaic layer is described. For experimental part of the work three samples were prepared by pulsed laser deposition method. First sample on sapphire substrate (Al2O3), second on platinum layer deposited on sapphire substrate and third on yttrium stabilized zirconia substrate. From the X-ray reflectivity curves the parameters such as layer thickness, interface roughness, surface roughness and material density, were determined. By analysing measured reciprocal space maps, lattice parameters and mosaic model parameters, such as mean mosaic block size, mosaic block size distribution, mosaic block misorientation and residual microstrain, were...

Studium tuhé frakce atmosferického aerosolu z Plzně pomocí rentgenové práškové difrakce / Study of solid fraction of the atmospheric aerosol of Pilsen by X-ray powder diffraction

Vik, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
In this diploma thesis there was studied a composition of a solid fraction of the atmospheric aerosol of the daily measurements from Pilsen by X-ray powder diffraction by the method of the parallel beam. The phase analysis was accomplished by comparing of the diffraction dates with a database of compounds usually occurring in the solid fraction of the atmospheric aerosol in this area. This database was created from works published earlier. In these samples there were also identified asbestos fibers of actinolite by the scanning electron microscope with EDS module. In this thesis there was also described a transport of several anthropogenic compounds of the atmospheric aerosol in dependence on a meteorological situation. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Alemayehu, Adam January 2019 (has links)
Title: Preparation and characterization of bi-phasic magnetic nanoparticles Author: Bc. Adam Alemayehu Department: Department of Innorganic Chemistry Supervisors: doc. RNDr. Daniel Nižňanský, Ph.D. RNDr. Václav Tyrpekl, Ph.D. Consultant: M.Sc. Dominika Zákutná Abstract The work is focusing on the magnetic properties of ferrimagnetic spinel ferrites before and after the introduction of a shell on a core particle with different magnetic properties. The core nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal decomposition of oleate precursors. The introduction of shell was carried out by hydrothermal treatment of the already prepared core particles. The phase composition, spinel structure and the sizes of the prepared samples were investigated by powder X-ray diffraction and by transmission electron microscopy. Formation of the shell on top of the core particle was determined indirectly, using Mössbauer spectroscopy at room temperature. The interparticle interactions and the particle shape was studied by small angle X-ray scattering. The magnetic properties of the prepared samples were measured on a SQUID magnetometer. Key words: magnetic nanoparticles, core, shell, spinel structure, powder X-ray diffraction, Mössbauer spectroscopy, magnetic measurements, TEM

Studium struktury feromagnetických polovodičů metodami rtg rozptylu / Study of the structure of ferromagnetic semiconductors by x-ray scattering methods

Horák, Lukáš January 2014 (has links)
We studied epitaxial layers of Gallium Manganese Arsenide by various x-ray scattering methods. Since the positions of the Mn dopant in the a host GaAs lattice are crucial for magnetic properties of this material, we focused mainly on a development of the laboratory diffraction method capable to identify Mn in particular crystallographic positions. From the measured diffracted intensity distributed along Crystal Truncation Rods, it is possible deduce the density of Mn interstitials in two non-equivalent crystallographic positions. It is possible to decrease the interstitial Mn density by annealing. We demonstrated our method on severally annealed epitaxial layer. The depth profile of interstitial density was determined after each annealing. The annealing process was simulated by the solving of the Drift- Diffusion equations. From the comparison with the experimentally determined interstitial densities, we estimated the diffusivity of Mn interstitials in the GaAs lattice. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Soubor výukových programů / The set of tutorial programs

Vaculík, Jakub Unknown Date (has links)
With increasing demands for transit capacity of data networks as well as communication network optical networks seem to be the suitable solution. Light beam is attractive to use for data transmission . Transmitted data can be expressed by means of light impuls.. For execution of the project we need the whole optical telecommunical system which consists of transmitter, transmission link and receiver. The target of transmission link is to transfer optical beam from its resourse to detector with minimal losses. The optical fibre or optical freespace optical link FSO are used for this purpose. This thesis discusses basic effects that accompany these roads. The program that is created in this study clearly shows and describes the dependence of these phenomena on the individual input parameters. It is designed for students so that they can better imagine how these phenomena take place.

Užití elektronové difrakce k mapování elastického napětí / Correlation of electron backscatter diffraction for elastic stress mapping

Ondračka, Václav January 2021 (has links)
Electron backscatter diffraction is a method that is well described and commonly used for orientation image mapping, including grain size estimation. The use of this method for measuring elastic deformation and rotations caused by plastic deformations is not so well decribed. This diploma thesis first describes the typical EBSD system. The information regarding the standard coordinate systems, grain orientation notation and system calibration is then used to create an open-source software for mapping elastic deformations and rotations inside a single grain or a monocrystal. This software uses data acquired during standard EBSD mapping on a commercial system.

Nvrh a testovn ppravku pro post-mortem XRD mÄen elektrod li-ion bateri v inertn atmosf©e / Design and testing of XRD holder for post-mortem analysis of li-ion battery electrodes performed in an inert atmosphere

KlvaÄ, Ondej January 2020 (has links)
The work describes the design and manufacturing of a test device for post-mortem measurements of electrodes of electrochemical cells using X-ray diffraction spectroscopy. The theoretical part describes the diffractometer Rigaku Miniflex 600, for which the product is intended. At the same time, an overview of solutions in various applications is processed here in the form of a recherche. The practical part documents the current development of a new cell, on which tests were performed. Here is an overview of the influence of gases and insulating materials on the resulting data, especially distortion and attenuation. Subsequently, a new design with improved hermetic insulation and sample displacement error correction is described. The principle of operation of the manufactured cell, including the control unit and software, is elaborated in the form of technical documentation. Finally, the functionality is verified by comparing the diffractograms of the powder standards and the graphite electrodes.

Magnetické vlastnosti R2TIn8 a příbuzných tetragonálních sloučenin / Magnetic properties of R2TIn8 and related tetragonal compounds

Čermák, Petr January 2014 (has links)
Title: Magnetic properties of R2TIn8 and related tetragonal compounds Author: Petr Čermák Department / Institute: Department of Condensed Matter Physics Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: doc. Mgr. Pavel Javorský, Dr., Department of Condensed Matter Physics Abstract: Intermetallic compounds R2TIn8 (R = rare earth, T = transition metal), commonly called "218" because of stoichiometry, are structurally related to a class of well- known Ce-based heavy-fermions like CeCoIn5 or CeRhIn5. They are located between fully 3D cubic compound (e.g. CeIn3) and quasi-2D "115" superconductors, which makes them ideal candidates to study structural dimensionality effects on various properties. Recent developments in this field showed that it is possible to grow compounds with T = Pd or Pt with "218" stoichiometry. Therefore further study of "218" compounds is desired since much less is known about them compared to "115" compounds. We have focused mainly on the determination of magnetic structures and crystal field effects along the series of Rh based "218" compounds for various rare-earth elements. The single crystals of compounds with R = Nd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, La, Lu, Y were successfully grown. Results of bulk measurements (specific heat, susceptibility) together with magnetic structures determined from several neutron...

Příprava a charakterizace substituovaných Y ferritů ve formě keramik a tenkých vrstev / Preparation and characterization of substituted Y ferrites in the form of ceramics and thin films

Pulmannová, Dorota January 2016 (has links)
Title: Preparation and characterization of substituted Y ferrites in the form of ceramics and thin films Author: Dorota Pulmannová Department: Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague Supervisor: RNDr. Daniel Nižňanský, Ph.D. Consultant: Ing. Josef Buršík, CSc. Abstract: In this work we describe a preparation and characterization of a hexagonal ferrite series with composition BaSrCoZnXFe11O22 where X=Fe, Al, Ga, In and Sc. We have prepared these ferrites in the powder and ceramic form using the citrate synthesis and in the thin film form using the chemical solution deposition method. Using the powder neutron diffraction we have found that the sample containing only Fe has collinear magnetic structure that belongs to the C2/m or C2'/m' group. Magnetic structure of the samples substituted with In and Sc is similar, but the magnetic moments of the 18hVI site atoms are not aligned parallely with the other moments. Magnetic structure of Ga-substituted sample is different, it is modulated with a propagation vector k ≈ (0, 0, 3/4). Propagation vector of the Al-substituted ferrite is k ≈ (0, 0, 3/2). Substituting elements show strong preferences for the cation sites. Al and Ga prefer the 3bVI site, Zn prefers the tetrahedral 6cIV and In and Sc prefer the 6cVI site. Room...
