In recent years, the insufficient supply of electricity on ruch hours has not simply led to negative impact on hi-tech industries, but also impeded the normal operation of industries, such as factories, medical centers, hotel business, public administration organization, schools and so on. The most important thing we have to do is to come up with a solution to such a dilemma.
This thesis is to propose a better way and suggestion for the places with high frequent operation of medium, large size air conditioner units, which achieves to make efficient use of energy. Generally speaking, such kind users lack sufficient knowledge concerning chillers equipments, pipe system, automatic control circuit, energy saving equipment. In addition, air conditioner industries do not care about such awareness of technology research of power demand, energy saving, and under power limited pressure. Therefore, this thesis also attempts to find a solution to the problems.
Moreover, this thesis mainly makes use of graphic control software to assess actual various parameters with load capacity control, efficiency consume energy, and economic dispatch, and then to get into units system load monitor model management.
Hopefully, such model and analysis of the experiment could be regarded as an efficient technique applied into actual units distribution monitor, and furthermore, would provide parallel medium, large air conditioner chiller units with not simply deeper discussion but also more efficient solution to the goal of energy saving.

A Field Study on Haul Time Variability in Open Pit MinesChapman, Andrew 31 August 2012 (has links)
As open pit mines get larger and their road networks more complex, haul road traffic is an area of increasing concern for mine operators. In particular, engineers from Barrick Gold Inc. have observed haul truck interactions in some of their larger open pit mines that are clearly disruptive to the haulage cycle. Such traffic effects cause uncertainty in haul times over identical routes and commercial dispatch systems do not explicitly account for this variability. This research, based on first-hand data collected from the Goldstrike Open Pit in Northern Nevada, focuses on assessing the level of variability in haul times, identifying the sources of said variability, and determining the effects on haulage optimization. Initial data analysis shows different levels of variability over the range of observed haul times, and further investigation identifies certain haulage parameters as significant sources of said variability, such as road topography and intersection effects. Focusing on these areas of interest, relevant data sets were manipulated to reduce levels of data dispersion and compared to observed results in order to quantify the effects in terms of changes to overall mean haul times along identical routes. It was observed that variability has a negative impact on travel times and moderate variability reduction was observed to increase productivity by 1–2 % when used as an input to a simple dispatch simulation program based on the Goldstrike Open Pit. / Thesis (Master, Mining Engineering) -- Queen's University, 2012-08-28 16:02:38.369

OOMatch: Pattern Matching as Dispatch in JavaRichard, Adam January 2007 (has links)
We present a new language feature, specified as an extension to Java. The feature is a form of dispatch, which includes and subsumes multimethods, but which is not as powerful as general predicate dispatch. It is, however, intended to be more practical and easier to use than the latter. The extension, dubbed OOMatch, allows method parameters to be specified as patterns, which are matched against the arguments to the method call. When matches occur, the method applies; if multiple methods apply, the method with the more specific pattern overrides the others.
The pattern matching is very similar to that found in the "case" constructs of many functional languages, with an important
difference: functional languages normally allow pattern matching over variant types (and other primitives such as tuples), while OOMatch allows pattern matching on Java ob jects. Indeed, the wider goal here is the study of the combination of
functional and ob ject-oriented programming paradigms.
Maintaining encapsulation while allowing pattern matching is of special importance. Class designers should have the control needed to prevent implementation details (such as private variables) from being exposed to clients of the class.
We here present both an informal "tutorial" description of OOMatch, as well as a formal specification of the language, and a proof that the conditions specified guarantee run-time safety.

With the transformation of the industrial structure environment and the coming knowledge economy era, the demand of enterprise for professional human resource is steadily on the increase, which makes the enterprise have diversified needs on manpower dispatch. In regard to the application of manpower dispatching, it has been transformed from the early labor force of blue-collar employees or the administrative personnel of white-collar staff in the basic level to the roles of skilled professionals or professional managers.
There are two objectives in this research. The first objective is to probe into the current situation of professional dispatching, and the second is to probe into the management mechanism of professional dispatching in Taiwan, which are probed in the case study method on the basis of its research subject, interviewing the third dispatched party, and the interview details will be concluded and analyzed.
It is discovered in this research that the dispatch triplicities think that the professional dispatch will become the development direction of manpower dispatch in the future. It is thought that dispatching agency should pick up the speed of recruitment and improve the professional degree in the practice of manpower dispatch. The ready-dispatch enterprise plays the role of reducing the otherness of professional dispatched personnel, the service charge of reasonably assessing the manpower dispatch, and the payment of professional dispatched personnel. And the dispatched personnel hope to strengthen the basis of mutual trust and improve the sense of job achievements. There are still a lot of challenges to meet the requirement of the dispatch triplicities. It is the common goal to find how to strengthen trilateral interaction and make the performance of professional

Abstract
With the rapid change of industrial structure and economical environment and the influence of globalization, the industrial patterns of employment in Taiwan also face a tremendous transform. At present, the employment of temporary workers which develop rapidly in Taiwan causes the attention and operation of relative group and enterprise, and comparing with Japan, Korea, and Singapore, these countries have official laws to stipulate dispatched work agency, user enterprise, and dispatched worker. Under the circumstances of the lack of stipulation of laws and the intermingled enterprises, the quarrel cases of labor market take place in succession. The factors cause the controversial issues of the legitimatization of the Worker Dispatch Law to come stage again. The study focuses on the necessary of the legitimatization of the Worker Dispatch Law and concludes following findings.
Chapter one is introduction concluding the motivation, purpose, and procedure of the study.
Chapter two is a retrospection of the development of dispatched workers, concluding the basic ideas and characters of dispatched workers, and the legitimatization of the Worker Dispatch Law and relative satisfaction references to certify the status of the study.
Chapter three is an investigation of legitimatization of the Worker Dispatch Law in other countries. And chapter four is a development and tendency of dispatched workers in Taiwan.
Chapter five is a research of the relationship of dispatched work agency, user enterprise, and dispatched worker, which analyzing the necessary of the legitimatization of the Worker Dispatch Law by case studies.
Chapter six is a conclusion focusing on inducing the conclusions from previous chapters, positing the conclusions and suggestions.

Modeling and Analysis of Next Generation 9-1-1 Emergency Medical Dispatch ProtocolsGupta, Neeraj Kant 08 1900 (has links)
Emergency Medical Dispatch Protocols are guidelines that a 9-1-1 dispatcher uses to evaluate the nature of emergency, resources to send and the nature of help provided to the 9-1-1 caller. The current Dispatch Protocols are based on voice only call. But the Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) architecture will allow multimedia emergency calls. In this thesis I analyze and model the Emergency Medical Dispatch Protocols for NG9-1-1 architecture. I have identified various technical aspects to improve the NG9-1-1 Dispatch Protocols. The devices (smartphone) at the caller end have advanced to a point where they can be used to send and receive video, pictures and text. There are sensors embedded in them that can be used for initial diagnosis of the injured person. There is a need to improve the human computer (smartphone) interface to take advantage of technology so that callers can easily make use of various features available to them. The dispatchers at the 9-1-1 call center can make use of these new protocols to improve the quality and the response time. They will have capability of multiple media streams to interact with the caller and the first responders.The specific contributions in this thesis include developing applications that use smartphone sensors. The CPR application uses the smartphone to help administer effective CPR even if the person is not trained. The application makes the CPR process closed loop, i.e., the person who administers the CPR as well as the 9-1-1 operator receive feedback and prompt from the application about the correctness of the CPR. The breathing application analyzes the quality of breathing of the affected person and automatically sends the information to the 9-1-1 operator. In order to improve the Human Computer Interface at the caller and the operator end, I have analyzed Fitts law and extended it so that it can be used to improve the instructions given to a caller. In emergency situations, the caller may be physically or cognitively impaired. This may happen either because the caller is the injured person, or because the caller is a close relative or friend of the injured person. Using EEG waves, I have analyzed and developed a mathematical model of a person's cognitive impairment. Finally, I have developed a mathematical model of the response time of a 9-1-1 call and analyzed the factors that can be improved to reduce the response time. In this regard, another application, I have developed, allows the 9-1-1 operator to remotely control the media features of a caller's smartphone. This is needed in case the caller is unable to operate the multimedia features of the smartphone. For example, the caller may not know how to zoom in the smartphone camera.All these building blocks come together in the development of an efficient NG9-1-1 Emergency Medical Dispatch protocols. I have provided a sample of these protocols, using the existing Emergency Dispatch Protocols used in the state of New Jersey. The new protocols will have fewer questions and more visual prompts to evaluate the nature of the emergency.
