The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine, whether the discourse of sustainable development (SD) has any impact on the academic public concerning the knowledge of the topics and principles of SD, or whether it has impact on the value orientation. A group of university students of economics was chosen for the purposes of this thesis as an instance of the academic public. The thesis consists of two main parts: the theoretical part and the analytical part. The theoretical part defines the theoretical base of following topics: the development of the human attitude towards the Earth; the warning messages that preceded the revolutionary year 1987; the basis of the sustainable development; selected topics and principles of the environmental pillar of sustainability; the environmental education; environmental sociology and the new environmental paradigm. The methods applied in the analytical part of this thesis are based on the quantitative approach, NEP and HEP, the environmental sociology. The overview of the discourse of SD from the point of view of the environmental pillar allows for the specific research the operationalization of the knowledge of the topics and principles of SD including the readiness to use those principles.

The diploma thesis is focused on the distribution of non-taxable items, respectively their impact on the distribution of the income or tax base between diverse income groups in the Czech Republic. The aim of the empirical research was to measure redistributional effects of total and particular non-taxable items by various income inequality metrics.

This thesis deals with communication barriers and their impact on the results of the work process and group climate. It explains the concept of communication, elements of communication process and the basic division of communication, verbal communication, nonverbal communication, effective communication and its elements, requirements for effective communication, communication with managers, managerial communication strategy, the specifics of communication in health care management and internal communication. The thesis further analyzes communication barriers from the perspective of different authors, which is crucial for the practical part, where the results of questionnaire-compiled charts reflecting the different communication barriers from different angles are used. Two sets of questionnaires were developed: one for senior staff and one for subordinates. The group examined was a closed working group in one hospital in the Czech Republic. In the discussion section, results of the research are evaluated and recommendations for the prevention and elimination of the communication barriers are given. The main aim of this work was improvement of communication between employees at all levels and between all levels, increasing the efficiency of manpower and making the working environment more attractive, thus increasing the satisfaction of all employees of this working group.

This diploma thesis called "Public Administration Reform and its influence on an agenda of the government care of historical monuments" studies possible reasons of reduced quality of arbitrating in the agenda of the government care of historical monuments after delimitation of this agenda to municipal offices by a municipality with expanded competency. To premise, I consider the public administration reform in my thesis only as an instrument to refer to its possible effects on the agenda of the government care of historical monuments. The diploma thesis points at frequent influence exertion of very powerful local elements by political representatives in ORP leadership who are supported by various lobby interest groups. Just the influence of the mentioned lobby pressure groups is possibly more powerful factor for arbitrating on the level of lower territorially municipality than the influence of the government (legal rules). Creating the concept of buildings is the primary task of architects, designers in the field of architecture and engineering. Although the basic requirements remain the same across time , possibilities of their solution are constantly evolving and changing. In addition, with the increasing globalization, in context of the housing and the architecture is expected new requirements go beyond the horizons of the interests of bouth investor and designer. Global view of each project and the evaluation of its traces left in our environment and society, although is much discussed but rarely taken into account or even just considered. In this context, we are witnessing the development of new trends of the concepts of buildings, consisting in the use of natural materials, in reducing the environmental burden of a surroundings, in reducing energy demands, or even in an effort to achieve energy independence thus trends, whose common denominator is sustainable construction, hence sustainable development in general. Feasibility of the creation of the concept of energy self-sufficient building doesn´t consist only in the precise solution of the assigned task from the perspective of the designer or investor, but also in finding such a solution which, even with using new trends and principles, will not go against the initial idea itself. The present instrument processed and presented in this dissertation has the ambition to move global view of the project into the perspective of a particular individual design process and in small way contribute to the creation of better projects from the perspective of sustainable development The term of energy self-sufficient buildings are not clearly defined. To work with them it was necessary to determine their basic definition that describes their diverse conceptual variations and allows precisely define the solution area. To correctly select the optimal solution in terms of sustainable development is necessary the assessment and mutual comparison since the beginning. As a basic tool for this assessment was used and partially modified SBTool, which is built on three basic pillars of sustainable development - SOCIAL - ENVIRONMENTAL - ECONOMIC. SBTool tries to determine the degree of left traces of the approach from the perspectives of these three aspects and evaluate the effectiveness of the selected solution. This tool allow to compare the different concepts for the same project among themselves, their parts but also various projects among each other. The aim of the master‘s thesis is to evaluate the economic and financial impacts of the investment project on the public sector. It is defined the financial management of the investor – the village Ludkovice – for the assessing of the impacts. Selected project is the construction of a sports complex in Ludkovice. Outputs are determined by using eCBA application that uses method of Cost Benefit Analysis. The thesis connects together theoretical knowledge of evaluation economic indicators such as Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return and Profitability Index and use this calculations to evaluate the overall effectiveness of investment and the possibility of financing in practice.

This thesis deals with the matter of risk managament in IT projects. It explains the importance of risk management in such projects and shows different ways and methods of managing and analyzing the risks. After explaining the basic concepts and the various phases of risk management the text focuses on two methods of risk analysis - the fault tree analysis of event tree analysis. Use of both methods is explained for both quantitative and qualitative analyses. The second half of the work includes the design of an application for the support of risk analysis employing the methods of fault tree analysis and event tree analysis. This is followed by a description of the implementation of the proposed system in a web environment using jQuery, Nette Framework and Dibi.

The diploma thesis topic is an impact analysis of how social services affects clients of community living for disabled people. The main goal of this thesis is to answer a question whether the social service leads to decrease of its range. The clients sample of 12 was selected from those who use the service longest. The data analysis of individual service records complemented with qualitative quality available data confirmed the assumed hypothesis. The initial hypothesis assumed that 80% of clients who use the community living for disabled people the longest lead to decreased the need of provided services. The secondary goal of this thesis is to suggest options how to improve the efficiency of provided services to the service providers. Summary: This work proposes a closer look at the divorce-related topics with consequential impacts both on financial situation of divorced spouses and destinies of minor children as resulting from divorced marriages in Czech Republic. Till date, this issue has been solved in different ways at both district and regional courts. In our republic, a more unifying element is represented by decisions of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts. This is a very serious social phenomenon which, according to statistics affects a large number of parents, children, but also childless partners. Yet from ancient times this phenomenon is known to be socially undesirable being almost entirely rejected by the Catholic Church in its canon law. The increase in divorces has resulted namely from the advancement procedure of society. It is a societal phenomenon known to occur irrelatively of the states and political systems, from the totalitarian regimes through those autocratic, up to highly democratic systems of developed countries worldwide. This diploma paper deals with the tax incidence of cigarette tax in the period of the changes in rates of this duty in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this paper is to find out how the cigarette tax shifts on consumer and producer. Moving of tax burden was found out thanks to investigation of cigarette prices in the period from September 2007 to February 2008. The amount of tax was calculated from these prices. Various periods were compared and results were closely analysed. Fiscal and educative function of cigarette tax was monitored in this paper too. Educative function was found out by the help of trend in the number of smokers and their cigarettes consumption, whilst fiscal function was demonstrated by trend of payment excise duties. At the close of diploma paper are mentioned also tax avoidances of the excise duty on cigarettes, that are large problem all the time not only in the Czech Republic.
