Využití koncepčního modelu Callisty Royové při hodnocení potřeb v generaci 50+ / Use of the conceptual model by Calliste Roy in the evaluation of needs of the generation 50+

HOTAŘOVÁ, Zdeňka January 2017 (has links)
The conceptual models in nursing care provide healthcare workers with a comprehensive philosophical-theoretical framework for provision of care to both healthy and ill individuals. They also contribute to develop nursing as a self-standing scientific discipline, supply a common language, an opportunity to make communication more efficient, to improve the provided care, they constitute a tool to evaluate the intervention results and last but not least, they support the education and the development of practice. The Calliste Roy's model, developed in the 1970s already and called "Adaptation model", understands the human as a holistic being that is in permanent interaction with the internal and external environment. According to the Roy's model, nursing is aimed at influencing the individuals' health in health, but also in illness, and at achieving their efficient adaptive behaviour. Our goal consisted in finding out the particularities of nursing care in clinical and community practice in the 50+ generation, under application of Calliste Roy's Adaptation model. Six hypotheses were formulated in collection with the set goal. Quantitative investigation under use of a non-standardized questionnaire was performed in order to get the data needed for processing of the research part of the work. The results of the investigation allowed confirming five out of the six hypotheses set. It was proved that with increasing age, 50+ people experience serious changes at 26 of the changes under evaluation. However, it was not confirmed that the life changes of the 50+ generation directly depend on gender, as no statistically significant connection between all changes tested and the gender was proved. It further applies that with increasing age, the percentage of individuals assessing the attitude to changes as negative rises significantly. It was also found out that the attitude of men towards changes is significantly more positive than the women's attitude. With increasing age, it is more and more difficult for the respondents to adapt to changes in their lives. However, men state significantly more often to be able to adapt to changes without difficulties, while women state difficulties significantly more often. A recommendation for practice consists in applying Calliste Roy's Adaptation model not only to assess the needs of the 50+ generation, but primarily in applying modified nursing case history in practice to support comprehensive assessment of the patient/client. The work brings stimuli for further research investigations, among other things.

Pacholíková, Zuzana January 2018 (has links)
The thesis deals with the personality sources, defined as personality traits by five-factor model, of well-being in the both approaches - hedonic and eudaimonic - and with all its components and dimensions. The assumptions of the research are stronger relationship of personality with the subjective well-being at younger adults than at middle-aged adults and stronger relationship of personality with the psychological well-being at middle-aged adults that at younger adults. The sample consists of 103 respondents at the younger adulthood and 149 respondents at the middle adulthood. The relationships and the comparison between the both age cohorts is analyzed by correlations and multiple linear regression. Results bring the evidence of the relationship between the personality traits with the subjective and the psychological well-being. The personality sources are the strongest at the level of all components and most of the dimensions at the middle-aged adults. The results are discussed with the limits of the research and with the topics of follow-up research.

Posttraumatický růst u adolescentů a mladých dospělých / Posttraumatic Growth in Adolescents and Young Adults

Valentová, Hana January 2019 (has links)
The thesis focuses on posttraumatic growth in adolescents and young adults. The subject of the research is finding and tracking reactions and changes that emerge after a specific stimulus - an existentially experienced trauma, where at the core is realizing the threat of life and afterwards thinking about one's own death. The theoretical part deals with psychological and philosophical sources of current concepts of post-traumatic growth. These sources support our assumption that for the specific course of post-traumatic reactions and changes the subject category or objective severity of events is not relevant. It is the respondents own perception of a life threat. We also deal with a particular PTG model by Tedeschi and Calhoun, whose concept of changes after a major life event was chosen as the starting point for our research and whose PTGI questionnaire is used in the quantitative part. In the empirical part we chose mixed research design. First, a quantitative part of the research was carried out, involving 407 respondents aged 17-25. The aim of this part was to determine the rate of post-traumatic growth and to demonstrate that perceived life threats occur among respondents across all event categories. The personal perception of a life threat will result into a higher score achieved in both...

Mléko a mléčné výrobky a jejich vnímání mladými dospělými / Milk and dairy products and their perception by young adults

Valchová, Jana January 2020 (has links)
Early adulthood is a period of peak bone mass formation, which is one of the basics in prevention of osteoporosis onset in older age. Milk and dairy products intake as a source of well-absorbed calcium is still very substantial at this age, as it was in the previous period of adolescence. However, it is also often a time of finding a person's own diet and a time of eliminating certain food groups from the diet, which is often due to succumbuing to widespread myths. Thus, milk is one of the most controversial foods for the public. The aim of the questionnaire research, which was part of the thesis, was to find out, how many young adults believe and succumb to these myths. Questions were asked about eating habits and respondents' views on the health benefits of milk. The survey shows that a significant percentage of them are misinformed by such myths and exclude milk from their diet, often for no reason. Although campaigns to promote milk consumption are still ongoing and have undoubtedly had a positive effect on public perception of the benefits of milk, it is certain that this activity needs to be continued and myths (not only) about milk still need to be debunked. keywords: milk, dairy products, early adulthood, myths, peak bone mass, calcium

The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to acquaint readers with the phenomenon of intimate partner violence in a broad- spectrum. However, the most important passage is a chapter focusing on the consequences of intimate partner violence on the psychological and somatic manifestations and behaviour of its victims and development of their subsequent partnerships. This chapter is followed by realized quantitative research, which is divided into three separate thematic sections. The first part of the research finds out whether the research group of respondents with experience with violent partnership in the period of adolescence experienced significantly more of the selected consequences compared to the research group of respondents without experience with the violent relationship in this development period. As part of the complementary data analysis 1, it is discussed whether certain aspects, which are characteristic for the consequences of intimate partner violence, could also be experienced by individuals because of problematic peer relationships and,...

Dospělý člověk jako účastník a adresát katecheze / The Adult as a Catechesis Participant and Recipient

Paseka, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
The title of the thesis is "The Adult as a Catechesis Participant and Recipient". The first part of the thesis introduces the issue of adult catechesis. It describes the ways in which the Church has, since its beginning (in its original practice), strived to tackle this phenomenon and provides an overview of the most important magisterial documents related to this topic. It also outlines the current challenges faced by the Church. Subsequently, attention is given to the prerequisites which an adult as a recipient and co-worker in the catechetical process should meet. Besides considering the current scientific psychological view of general human maturity, the thesis deals with the dynamics of faith development and its maturation. Furthermore the thesis outlines the goals of adult catechesis as well as the subsequent work which is crucial to continuing education. Finally, the thesis outlines the pastoral-catechetical view of adults.
