Technologie zachycování a skladování uhlíku v energetice / Carbon Capture and Storage Technology in Energy Industry

Šulcová, Anna January 2009 (has links)
Given the growing worldwide interest in fossil fuels on one hand and mitigation of climate change on the other hand, it is necessary to research into new technologies as Carbon Capture and Storage. This technology became a matter of interest as an option to diminish greenhouse gas emissions of power plants. It is essential to find out about the costs of Carbon Capture and Storage and expected future costs of power plants with CCS. Impact of this techology is not only in the sphere of capital and operational costs, but it also influences power plant efficiency and fuel consumption in negative way. Analysis of reductions in the costs of this technology as a result of learning-by-doing is observed on Experience Curves. This study observes influence of CCS on costs of mainly PC, IGCC and NGCC type of power plant. CCS technology has positive impact not only on environment, but it is possible to assess Enhanced Oil, Methane or Gas Recovery, which can partly offset costs of this technology.

Energetické otázky v zemích Visegradské čtyřky / Energetics in Visegrad Group

Horák, Lukáš January 2010 (has links)
Main purpose of this thesis is to find out how self sufficient concerning the energy raw materials are countries within Visegrad group. Further purpose of my thesis is to analyse total primary energy supply, the structure of energy supply in countries of Visegrad group and its developments in last 4 decades. Furher I want to reveal how the structure of total primary energy supply and structure of electricity generation reflect the disponibility of raw materials in these countries and transformation of economics in the nineties. A sub-objective of my work will examine how countries of the Visegrad Four use the potential of renewable energy sources and how they support it.

Normativní moc Evropské unie v Ázerbájdžánu / European Union Normative Power in Azerbaijan

Kotásková, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
Azerbaijan presents itself as a country with an independent foreign policy, refusing European requirements for democratic reforms within the Eastern Partnership. Yet, the European Union keeps developing mutual relations, especially in the field of energy cooperation. The EU has been criticized for betraying its fundamental values of democracy and human rights, and doubts arise if the EU can represent a normative power, as described by Ian Manners in 2002. This master thesis therefore analyzes the European policy in Azerbaijan from a normative perspective. It concludes that the European Union's policy in Azerbaijan is normative and the economic cooperation is not an obstacle. Nevertheless, the impact of the European policy is hampered, making it not possible to state that EU has normative power. The main reasons are insufficient efficiency of European means and Azerbaijan's hostile approach. Still, the current situation of Azerbaijan's economic problems provides Europe with potential to increase its normative influence.

Liberalizácia plynárenstva v EÚ / The liberalization of the gas industry in the European Union

Giľaková, Daniela January 2011 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the process of liberalization of the natural gas market in Europe. The aim of this thesis is to present energy policy and its development in relation to the liberalization of the gas industry in the EU. Moreover another aim of this thesis is to bring a critical look at the process of liberalization of natural gas market in practice and assess the current stage of the liberalization process in EU. The gas industry represents one of the parts of energy industry and from this reason the indroduction of this thesis is devoted to the development of energy and energy policy from the 2nd world war to the present. The next chapter of this thesis is focuses on the importance and the position of natural gas among the other energy sources. The next chapter describes the process of the liberalization in the European Union, which is related to the adoption and implementation of the European energy directives and regulations, also known as the energy packages, in to the national legislation. In the last chapter are analyzed some of the factors of the liberalization of the gas market in the Czech Republic

Koncepční návrh sekundárního a terciálního okruhu pro nový jaderný zdroj / Conceptual design of secondary and tertiary circuit for a new nuclear source

Valíček, Roman January 2021 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to create a conceptual design of the secondary and tertiary circuit of a new nuclear power plant in our country, which is preceded by a brief search of particular generations of nuclear reactors. The VVER-1200 reactor became the model for the new nuclear power plant. There was designed a heat diagram containing primary components in this work. After that, there was the balance calculation and calculation of parameters of the main devices of the proposed scheme such as condenser, low-pressure and high-pressure regeneration exchangers and steam generator.
