This dissertation addresses the problem of classification of entities in text represented by noun phrases. The goal of this thesis is to develop a method for automated classification of entities appearing in datasets consisting of short textual fragments. The emphasis is on unsupervised and semi-supervised methods that will allow for fine-grained character of the assigned classes and require no labeled instances for training. The set of target classes is either user-defined or determined automatically. Our initial attempt to address the entity classification problem is called Semantic Concept Mapping (SCM) algorithm. SCM maps the noun phrases representing the entities as well as the target classes to WordNet. Graph-based WordNet similarity measures are used to assign the closest class to the noun phrase. If a noun phrase does not match any WordNet concept, a Targeted Hypernym Discovery (THD) algorithm is executed. The THD algorithm extracts a hypernym from a Wikipedia article defining the noun phrase using lexico-syntactic patterns. This hypernym is then used to map the noun phrase to a WordNet synset, but it can also be perceived as the classification result by itself, resulting in an unsupervised classification system. SCM and THD algorithms were designed for English. While adaptation of these algorithms for other languages is conceivable, we decided to develop the Bag of Articles (BOA) algorithm, which is language agnostic as it is based on the statistical Rocchio classifier. Since this algorithm utilizes Wikipedia as a source of data for classification, it does not require any labeled training instances. WordNet is used in a novel way to compute term weights. It is also used as a positive term list and for lemmatization. A disambiguation algorithm utilizing global context is also proposed. We consider the BOA algorithm to be the main contribution of this dissertation. Experimental evaluation of the proposed algorithms is performed on the WordSim353 dataset, which is used for evaluation in the Word Similarity Computation (WSC) task, and on the Czech Traveler dataset, the latter being specifically designed for the purpose of our research. BOA performance on WordSim353 achieves Spearman correlation of 0.72 with human judgment, which is close to the 0.75 correlation for the ESA algorithm, to the author's knowledge the best performing algorithm for this gold-standard dataset, which does not require training data. The advantage of BOA over ESA is that it has smaller requirements on preprocessing of the Wikipedia data. While SCM underperforms on the WordSim353 dataset, it overtakes BOA on the Czech Traveler dataset, which was designed specifically for our entity classification problem. This discrepancy requires further investigation. In a standalone evaluation of THD on Czech Traveler dataset the algorithm returned a correct hypernym for 62% of entities.

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to appraise market and also invesment value of company GASTRO Vaizová s.r.o. as of 31st December, 2011 and especially to compare methodology used to find out these two basis of value. Business value was estimated according to DCF Entity method and market comparison method in this case. This thesis consists of strategic analysis, financial analysis, analysis and prediction of generators of value. On the basis of the generators of value the complete financial plan has been set up. Then, finally, the company value was appraised using DCF Entity and market comparison method. In the last chapter, major differences in methodology related to both value basis defined above and used during appraisal are discused.

This thesis concerns the investment of business of two traders to four newly created companies, especially to partnership, limited partnership, private limited company and public limited company. The aim of the thesis is determine which of these forms is best for businessman according to tax burden and risk consequent of this form of business.

The object of the thesis is to determine the market value of the firm for the purpose of the future sale. At first, the strategic analysis is performed, which assesses business and competitive environment of the company, and on which basis the future sales are estimated. The financial analysis examines financial health and stability of the company. The obtained information from both analysis are a starting point for the preparation of the financial plan. In the final part of this thesis the resulting valuation of the company is the calculated together with reasons on which the calculations are based.

The main goal of this diploma thesis is evaluation of the company Nestlé Česko, s.r.o. which refers to 31. 12. 2012. The valuation process is based on publicly available data such as annual reports of the company. The diploma thesis consists of two main part, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides explanation and description of methods and aproaches used in this particular valuation process. The practical part begins with company introduction, followed by strategic and financial analysis in order to analyze the environment and financial health of the company. After that the value drivers are planned and on this basis the financial plan for the period 2013 -- 2017 is formulated. The financial plan is key for evaluation of the company using the combination of DCF entity method and the EVA method.

Dans un contexte archivistique en transition, marqué par l'évolution des normes internationales de description archivistique et le passage vers une logique de graphes d'entités, cette thèse se concentre plus spécifiquement sur la gestion des données d'autorité relatives à des personnes physiques. Elle vise à explorer comment le secteur des archives peut bénéficier du développement du Web de données pour favoriser une gestion soutenable de ses données d'autorité :de leur création à leur mise à disposition, en passant par leur maintenance et leur interconnexion avec d'autres ressources.La première partie de la thèse est dédiée à un état de l'art englobant tant les récentes évolutions des normes internationales de description archivistique que le développement de l'écosystème Wikibase. La seconde partie vise à analyser les possibilités et les limites d'une approche faisant appel au logiciel libre Wikibase. Cette seconde partie s'appuie sur une étude empirique menée dans le contexte du Centre d'Études et de Documentation Guerre et Sociétés Contemporaines (CegeSoma). Elle permet de tester les perspectives dont disposent des institutions possédant des ressources limitées et n'ayant pas encore adopté la logique du Web de données. Par le biais de jeux de données relatifs à des personnes liées à la Seconde Guerre mondiale, elle dissèque les différentes étapes conduisant à leur publication sous forme de données ouvertes et liées. L'expérience menée en seconde partie de thèse montre comment une base de connaissance mue par un logiciel tel que Wikibase rationalise la création de données d'autorité structurées multilingues. Des exemples illustrent la façon dont ces entités peuvent ensuite être réutilisées et enrichies à l'aide de données externes dans le cadre d'interfaces destinées au grand public. Tout en soulignant les limites propres à l'utilisation de Wikibase, cette thèse met en lumière ses possibilités, en particulier dans le cadre de la maintenance des données. Grâce à son caractère empirique et aux recommandations qu'elle formule, cette recherche contribue ainsi aux efforts et réflexions menés dans le cadre de la transition des métadonnées archivistiques. / The subject of this thesis is the management of authority records for persons. The research was conducted in an archival context in transition, which was marked by the evolution of international standards of archival description and a shift towards the application of knowledge graphs. The aim of this thesis is to explore how the archival sector can benefit from the developments concerning Linked Data in order to ensure the sustainable management of authority records. Attention is not only devoted to the creation of the records and how they are made available but also to their maintenance and their interlinking with other resources.The first part of this thesis addresses the state of the art of the developments concerning the international standards of archival description as well as those regarding the Wikibase ecosystem. The second part presents an analysis of the possibilities and limits associated with an approach in which the free software Wikibase is used. The analysis is based on an empirical study carried out with data of the Study and Documentation Centre War and Contemporary Society (CegeSoma). It explores the options that are available to institutions that have limited resources and that have not yet implemented Linked Data. Datasets that contain information of people linked to the Second World War were used to examine the different stages involved in the publication of data as Linked Open Data.The experiment carried out in the second part of the thesis shows how a knowledge base driven by software such as Wikibase streamlines the creation of multilingual structured authority data. Examples illustrate how these entities can then be reused and enriched by using external data in interfaces aimed at the general public. This thesis highlights the possibilities of Wikibase, particularly in the context of data maintenance, without ignoring the limitations associated with its use. The author of the diploma thesis deals with the application of methods and risk analysis to assess the environmental impact of the business entity. Firstly, this thesis incudes theoretical background information about case study, which is also support for applying methods and analyzing the necessary areas. The goal of this work is to find solutions and propose preventative measures to be used by enterprise in order to reduce environmental impact.

The diploma thesis focuses on voluntary tools that the business entities by using them can try to reduce the negative impact on the environment which may arise in connection with their activities. Attention is paid on the Eco Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) on the basis of which environmental review and identification of indirect environmental aspects of the selected company is carried out. The result is proposed measures on indirect environmental aspects and an assessment of the appropriateness of the introduction of EMAS into the practice of the company Technické služby Jeseník.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of risk management in restaurant Grandezza. It deals with the application of methods and analysis for risk assessment. Values analyzed will result in measures designed to reduce the identified risks in Grandezza restaurant. The work is focused on three parts. The first part is focused on the current state and the chosen methodology, which is followed by the part. Of the solved issue. The last part contents measures that lead to the reduction of the risks in the restaurant Grandezza.

The diploma thesis focuses on the design, creation and implementation of a desktop application for managing a swimming database of the ASK Blansko swim club. It analyzes the current state of processes in the club and compares them with modern practice. It contains a description of all the functions of the application together with the economic evaluation of the project. It represents a complete solution because of the inefficient and outdated way of keeping the club database. It emphasizes the successful implementation of the application in the club practice.
