Specifika úrovně štíhlosti ve vybrané společnosti / Specifika úrovně štíhlosti ve vybrané společnostiLesňák, Martin January 2015 (has links)
The Lean concept arises from Toyota Production Syste (TPS). Then, the concept of leanness includes Value, Waste and Continuous Improvement. An organization with high level of leanness creates higher value to customers with lower level of waste within a continuous improvement environment. The examination of these diploma theses determines a new approach of lean measurement. Although, the use of ethnography is new in Lean management, it opens new possibilities to understand the behavior of the people about the organizational leanness.

Do entrecruzamento entre as máscaras rituais de Guerreiras e Heroínas, da Artetnografia à Mitodologia em Artes Cênicas, reafirma-se a estreita relação entre as Artes e os campos da Antropologia da Performance e do Imaginário / Abstract: Beginning with a performative writing, this research unveils the braid made from two aesthetic performances: A Batalha das Heroínas (The Battle of the Heroines) and Guerreiras (Warriors). A Batalha das Heroínas (The Battle of the Heroines) performed since 1993 by the women of Tejucupapo, situated in northern Pernambuco, Brazil. The performance restores the XVII century historical episode when for the first time an armed group of women took part in the battles during the Dutch occupation in north-eastern Brazil. The second performance called Guerreiras (Warriors) premiered in 2009 and is a result of the interactions between a group of artists leaded by the researcher and the community of Tejucupapo in an experience called Artethnography. This artethnographic network of artists and community members intended to achieve an understanding of questions involving the personification of the ancestor heroines by the present Tejucupapo women. This personification reveals a state of f(r)iction between the performers and their masks, dialectically opposed to the fiction (modeled), fomenting the concept of the ritual mask of the self and making possible a complex of pedagogical procedures related to scenic creation, the Mythodology in Drama. From the crossing of the ritual masks in Guerreiras and Heroínas, from Artethnography to the Mythodology in Drama, we reaffirm the close relationship between the Arts and the fields of Anthropology of Performance and Imaginary / Doutorado / Artes Cenicas / Doutor em Artes

The objective of this thesis is to offer an analysis, through ethnographic research, of the practices and challenges of the management of a network research project at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa. This study was conducted at the GeoMS (Georeferenced Information System) project, developed under the auspices of the Embrapa Management System (SEG), in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, from 2006-2012. The GeoMS Project generated as its main product the Computerized System for Environmental Licensing Support (Sisla), which changed the environmental licensing procedures of that state from manual to digital. The detailed description of management practices involved in conducting large-scale network research projects show the challenges faced by such enterprises. The manager faces bureaucratic, cultural as well as political and institutional barriers throughout the process. Such challenges have a direct impact on the viability of these projects, demanding thus attention from researchers interested in science and technology policy. The study shows how the translation of diverse interests was used to overcome these challenges. These translation practices were analyzed through the lens of Actor-Network Theory (LATOUR, 2000, 2001). The thesis concludes that such translation practices in management remain invisible to official reports, although they are fundamental to the actual reaching of the intended goals of the project. The analysis of such practices contributes, therefore, to the understanding of how network projects are carried out at Embrapa. It also adds to the knowledge of the challenges faced by public research institutions in Brazil / Mestrado / Politica Cientifica e Tecnologica / Mestra em Política Científica e Tecnológica

Kultura jako zkušenost. Problém distanciace a desegregace / Culture as experience. Question of distantiation and desegregationDoubek, David January 2014 (has links)
This thesis is devoted to the problem of exclusion that Roma population is subject of in Czech republic. This exclusion is studied through "helping professions" - professional intervening actors that help Roma to overcome the exclusion. Results used in this text come from two ethnographic research projects realized between 2008-2013. The text contains mixed approach, inductive ethnographic, stemming from my extensive research data and deductive or theory-driven. Methodologically the research belongs to the broad area of qualitative approach to social research, especially cognitive anthropological, psychoanalytical and that of individual psychology. First theoretical part, using mainly concepts of cognitive anthropology and distibutive theory of culture is focused on the theoretical question of the concept of culture and how it can be used for the "Roma culture" concept in relationship with the question of "majority". The second part consists mainly of a reinterpretation of the question of exclusion and Roma culture from the point of view of the concept of distantiation and expands it into Frantz Fanon inspired theory of confrontation. Third part is predominatly empirical and ethnograpical and consists of an inquiry into cognitive models of the help from exclusion as observed in helping professions....

This thesis is a study of how the Swedish media company MTG Radio has developed new strategies and production practices in relation to technological change, new competition and media convergence during the first decade of the 2000s. During this period the media landscape in general has been marked by digitization, the rise of new media platforms and competition from new media companies. The study engages in an ethnographical perspective on media production, but also takes its starting point in political-economic theories on media work (Banks 2007, Hesmondhalgh & Baker 2011, Ryan 1992) in order to raise questions about the relation between technological and organizational changes and relations of power in production. Empirically, the thesis builds on interviews with production staff as well as an analysis of production documents and content produced by MTG Radio. The analysis shows that digital production technologies contribute to anincreased automation and centralization of control over editorial decisions, and hence to “de-skilling” (Braverman 1974/1999, Örnebring 2010). On the other hand, strategies of multiplatform production and the organizational changes taking place contribute to an “upskilling” (Edgell 2012) and give DJs and presenters more autonomy and control within production. This strengthened autonomy involves their possibilities for reflexivity and critical self-evaluation, as well as their control over content and production. Finally, the thesis connects these results to the more overarching question of alienation, arguing that upskilling and increased autonomy do not automatically create better jobs within the media house, or necessarily represent emancipatory possibilities within media work, as has been argued in previous research and theory.

This ethnography proposes to take the reader on a ride hitchhiking through Florianópolis - SC, discussing, on the one hand, how this unusual practice of displacement to the urban scenario is created as a possibility in the process of development in the city; on the other hand, where these experiences lead us and what they mobilize in the negotiation of the hitchhiking situation, with its uncertainties and emerging moments. The work begins with a short review of previous productions about hitchhiking in the human sciences and some about the practice in Florianópolis that present questions that are being elaborated and deepened with the increase of the rhythm of hitchhiking that we are taking in the ethnography. Throughout the chapters, the themes of politics, images, imagery, mobility, ethnography and time are recurrent and will bring different layers that help to think the phenomenon in Florianópolis.

Assessering in gesondheidswetenskap-programme in 'n hoër onderwysinstelling : 'n kritiese etnografiese studie / Martha Johanna Susanna WilliamsWilliams, Martha Johanna Susanna January 2008 (has links)
The focus of this study is a strategy for the creation of a teaching-learning culture in
higher education that facilitates assessment as learning, in line with constructivist
principles and congruent with the outcomes-based approach to teaching and
learning. The rationale behind the study was based on the researcher's observation
that the assessment practices of learning accompanists in the health sciences tend
to be traditional and behaviourist in nature, while the official and dominant approach
to teaching and learning is outcomes-based.
A critical ethnographic process served as research method. A primary record was
compiled from the investigation into the assessment practices of the learning
accompanists in health sciences by means of direct observation during academic
contact sessions with students, 15 (fifteen) semi-structured individual interviews and
analysis of assessment documents. The 30 (thirty) participating students' experience
of the assessment practices of their learning accompanists was explored by means
of 3 (three) semi-structured focus group interviews as triangulation. The data was
qualitatively analysed in collaboration with an experienced qualitative researcher as
co-coder; and relevant relationships between concepts were emphasised. Literature
(national and international) was continuously explored, interpreted and integrated
with the empirical data for enrichment of the findings. The results were reduced to 12
(twelve) condensed statements that served as a basis for a theoretical framework. A
conceptual framework, which explains the relationship between the central concepts,
is visually presented and discussed. A strategy for a teaching-learning culture that
facilitates assessment as learning was formulated on the basis of 7 (seven) goals
and a tactical plan to achieve the stated goals. / Thesis (Ph.D. (Nursing))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2009.
