"Sens e razos d'una escriptura" : édition et étude de la traduction occitane de l'Evangelium Nicodemi / "Sens e razos of una escriptura" : edition and study of the Occitan translation of The Evangelium Nicodemi

Collura, Alessio 23 September 2014 (has links)
The Gospel of Nicodemus is one of the most interesting subjects of the literatureChristian apocryphal. Yet, during the past few decades,Published on it outside the book edited by Izydorczyk1. InThe studies on the Evangelium Nicodemi (EN) and those devoted to his fortuneIn the medieval West are limited to a few articles. Little has been done in the(In relation to the Germanic and Slavic domains, for example) and,In particular, Occitan2. Originally in Greek and dating from the 4th century AD,The writing of the Passion has influenced religious culture and marked theDuring the following centuries. The Evangelium Nicodemi had a very significant impactMedieval culture because it is linked to the interest in the work of ChristDeath and resurrection, namely Descent into hell, an event thatDogma of faith in the thirteenth century. After a prologue where the authorship of the writing is attributed to Nicodemus and where isThe chronology of events, the Evangelium Nicodemi begins withA first section that depicts the trial of Jesus before Pilate and thecrucifixion. Then there is a second section where the eventsProving the resurrection and ascension of Christ, then the history of'Wonderful' of Joseph of Arimathea. Finally comes the part of Descensus ChristiAd inferos, in which the son of God defeats Satan and frees the patriarchs andProphets of the infernal limbo, the latter closes the apocryphal.Section is not contained in the oldest Latin manuscript (Palimpsest ofVienna, 6th century), neither in the Greek version A nor in the Oriental translations. Thus, it is believed that the known EN is the result of the pooling ofTwo works originally independent, the Acta (or Gesta) Pilati and theDescensus5.

"Poznáte pravdu a pravda vás osvobodí" Svoboda v evangeliu podle Jana / "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" Freedom in the gospel of John

Černá, Zdeňka Klára January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with the question of the concept of freedom in the Gospel of John and the relationship between freedom and truth. The first part of this thesis is focused on the research of concepts of freedom and truth from the Old Testament to the New Testament, it is a description of historical background in which both terms were formed and transformed. This thesis also includes a detailed exegesis of the text of J 8.31-36, which served as the starting point. Due the fact that notion of freedom is most often found in the New Testament in the Gospel of John and Paul's Epistles, I insert a chapter charting the occurrence and use of the concept of freedom in Paul's epistles. In the main part of the thesis I compare the use of the concept of freedom in the Gospel of John and in Paul's letters.

Erasmus as Interpreter of the Sermon on the Mount in his Paraphrase on Matthew

Vasut, Ryan 18 June 2015 (has links)
This thesis examines Erasmus’s interpretation of the Sermon on the Mount in his Paraphrase on Matthew. The argument is that Erasmus offers a particularly rich reading of the Sermon through his use of the church fathers, his intratextual interpretive habits, and his exegetical insights. Chapter 1 briefly surveys major contributions for the study of the Paraphrases and provides a general introduction to the Paraphrases. Chapter 2 examines Erasmus’s frequent use of the church fathers throughout the Sermon and suggests that he shapes their works to meet his rhetorical needs. Chapter 3 surveys the intratextual connections Erasmus makes within the Sermon itself and between the Sermon and the rest of Matthew. Chapter 4 presents a couple passage-level insights from Erasmus and a discussion of his tripartite structure through the center of the Sermon as reflections from exegetical history. Chapter 5 concludes with a summary of the argument.

Modlitba v podobenstvích v Lukášově evangeliu / Prayer in the parables in the Gospel of Luke

Černá, Zuzana January 2017 (has links)
The Master's thesis Prayer in the Luke's Parables first deals with the definition of the parable itself: how the modern narratology understands it, how was this literary form used in the Old Testament and in the New Testament connotations. Further, it discusses the Gospel of Luke as a separate literary unit with an editorial plan regarding especially parables, and also describes the circumstances of its inception, the recipients, contemporary realities, etc. The next part outlines the basic teachings on prayer in the Church Documents. Then the thesis separately analyses both the grammar and the interpretation of three particularly important Luke's parables concerning prayer (L 11,513; L 18,18; 18, L 18,914). Their common contribution to Jesus' teachings on prayer is summarized in the conclusion.

Ženy v Ježíšově veřejném působení podle Lukášova evangelia (Lk 8,1-3; 10,38-42; 23,49) / Women in Jesus' public ministry in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 8:1-3; 10:38-42; 23:49)

Heinrichová, Marie January 2016 (has links)
The Diploma thesis "Women in Jesus' public ministry in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 8:1- 3; 10:38-42; 23:49)" analyzes 3 selected extracts from the Gospel of St. Lukas specifically focusing on women. Those accompanied Jesus, Marie and Martha and the women under the cross at the time of his crucifixion. The selected texts have been analyzed individually but also in relationship to their context in the whole Gospel of St. Lukas. Lukas writes about women more often than other Evangelists. His view is in this way completely remarkable and progresive for this time, he describes women more positively than their male counterparts. Lukas progressivness is demonstrated in small segments of his writing which exemplifies his undrestanding of the role of women in Grecian, Roman or Jewish societies. Selected extracts from the Gospel of Lukas each, in thier own way, show the important role of women in Jesus' public activity. Among Jesus' followers, as has been recorded by Lukas, women belonged to this group they listened to his words, supported him and accompanied him on his way to the cross. Lukas tries to explain the meaning which God intended for women in the history of the path to Salvation.
