Janovské křesťanství - termín, který je třeba opustit / Johannine christianity as a term lacking analytical potential

Vytlačilová, Magdalena January 2020 (has links)
In recent decades, most scholars have understood the Gospel of John and three letters of John as a mirror to the so-called "Johannine community"/"Johannine Christianity", whose existence is usually derived from literary and compositional aspects of Johannine corpus. In the following study I am arguing that in order for the term Johannine Christianity to be relevant and meaningful for the study of early Christianity and New Testament literature, we cannot focus on literary aspects of Johannine corpus but on a comparative work and define the term through the internal structure of religion. To be a historically relevant term, the term Johannine Christianity, therefore has to bear, in the context of the New Testament and early Christianity, distinctive doctrine, ritual practices, and institution. In the first part of this paper, I am dealing with literary and stylistic aspects of the Johannine corpus (authorship of gospel and letters, genre and 21st chapter of John's gospel, the beloved disciple, etc.) and arguing that these aspects are not a definite proof of the existence of so- called Johannine community. In the second part, I am arguing that theology, ritual practices, and institutions we find in Johannine corpus, are typical for mainstream Christianity of 1. and 2. century and therefore terms "Johannine...

Literární vztah mezi Markovým a Tomášovým evangeliem / Literary Relationship between the Gospel of Mark and the Gospel of Thomas

Eder, Pavel January 2020 (has links)
The thesis Literary Relationship Between the Gospel of Mark and the Gospel of Thomas aims to provide a closer look at the relationship between the ca- nonical Gospel According to Mark and the apocryphal Gospel According to Thomas. The first part of the thesis serves as an introduction: After prolego- mena to the Gospel of Mark and Thomas, it focuses on several contempora- ry hypotheses of the literary relationship between the Gospel of Thomas and Synoptics, as discussed in more recent articles and monographs. Thereafter, the second part of the thesis presents three studies of Thoma- sian and Markan sayings of Jesus. Where necessary, an excursion is made to other synoptic writings. The second part uses the method of linguistic comparison in order to reconstruct the redaction history and thus explain the original literary relationship of these two ancient writings.

Poklad v Novém zákoně / A tresury in The New Testament

Rampich-Hamariová, Juliana January 2015 (has links)
The thesis summarizes conclusions of exegetical studies of all fourteen texts containing a word "treasury" (thesauros) according to concordance of the Greek New Testament, and furthermore in three instances substitutes for treasury, using lingual and textual analysis and accessible Czech and foreign language commentaries. As far as other terms are concerned, a term "talent/mina" is used in the Gospel of Mathew and Luke in The parable of the talent/minas, where "talent/mina" fulfills all internal and external attributes for "treasury". In the Gospel of John, where we find no term "treasury", there is chosen "ointment" in the story of Anointing in Bethany for its symbolic meaning and relation to the Easter, where John's version is compared with description of the story in the synoptic gospels. Classifying of concluding interpretational frames of all seventeen texts, we get several fundamental models characterizing the role of "treasury" in the New Testament from the point of view of substance, allegory, symbolism or connotation. The treasury is the image of something precious, strange to the world, something we have a very small experience with, because we usually have not opportunity to be confronted with it. Therefore we need to be led by the values, we have accepted by feeling of Holy Spirit as ours. The...

Rekontextualizace a aktualizace vybraných Ježíšových podobenství pro účely katecheze / Recontextualisation and Actualisation of Selected Parables of Jesus for the Purpose of Catechism

Válková, Vendula January 2016 (has links)
Thesis deals with rekontextualization and actualisation of Jesus's parables. The methodological part describes the catechetical methods and possibilities of cooperation with selected sciences such as didactics, pedagogy, psychology and hermeneutics. Moreover there are discussed concepts such as allegory, exegesis, metaphor and metonymy. Particular text dealing with the parables of the New Testament contains a characteristic of parable as a literary form, its origin, significance and its construction order. Parables are selected particularly in the context of Matthew's gospel. The thesis functions on the basis of synchronic methodology as well as diachronic one.

Markovo evangelium v českých překladech Bible / Mark's gospel in the Czech Bible translations

Vondráček, Robert January 2018 (has links)

Momenty překvapení a zvratu ve vybraných podobenstvích Lukášova evangelia / Moments of Surprise and Reversal in Selected Parables of the Gospel according to Luke

Najbrtová, Michaela January 2016 (has links)
This thesis concerns with moments of surprise and moments of reversal in selected texts of the Gospel according to Luke: in parables introducing "one rich man". Initially it considers parable as a phenomenon theoretically, presents special emphasises of Luke's theology, outlines period of Jesus and of Luke, and deals with rhetoric and rhetorical criticism. It detects moments of surprise and of reversal in selected parables, and proves their significance using elements of rhetorical analysis. It approaches parables within their immediate frame, and within Jesus' particular speech in its entirety as well, as it is presented in the Gospel of Luke. Thesis detects their internal connection and their connection with the complex of the Gospel. It presents the capture of the theme and its shift in the subsequent parables, being aware of the metonymic density of the parables and of their form and subject matter interconnected in selected texts to impressive effect, in the very moments of surprise and of reversal.

Bohatství v Lukášově evangeliu / Wealth in the Gospel of Luke

Vlk, Jaromír January 2021 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to impart a comprehensive view of the topic of "wealth," as presented by Luke in his gospel. The first chapter provides a general view of the notion of property and wealth, as passed on to us first by the Old Testament (OT) and subsequently by the New Testament (NT). The following chapter deals with a narrower selection of texts followed in the third chapter by the main part of this thesis - a detailed linguistic and literary analysis ("exegesis"). The selected texts comprise a set of several parables that touch upon the theme of "property" (as well as attitudes towards it). These are, in particular, the parable of the rich man and the barns (L 12,13-21), the parable of the lost coin. (L 15,8-10), the parable of the prodigal son (L 15,11-32), the parable of the dishonest steward (L 16,1-9) and also the parable of the rich man and Lazarus (L 16,19-31). The fourth chapter not only encapsulates Luke's view of wealth, but also mentions the antithesis of wealth, namely poverty. The following chapter focuses on the term "God's kingdom" and its relationship to the material goods of this world. As the Gospel of Luke is often combined with the Acts of the Apostles to coalesce into one great composition, the last chapter is devoted to the relationship of the first Christian...

Petrova víra v kontextu Ježíšovy epifanie na moři / Faith of Peter in the Context of Jesus' Epiphany on the Sea

Kocourková, Simona January 2020 (has links)
Peter's faith in the context of Jesus's epiphany on the sea. Analysis of an excerpt from the gospel according to Matthew 14, 22 - 33 with respect to the experience of faith of the Apostle Peter. The study deals with the analysis of an excerpt from the gospel of Matthew about Jesus's epiphany on the sea (Mt. 14, 22 - 33) with regard to actions of the Apostle Peter. The first part is dedicated to the text of the pericope itself, its origin, placement and function in the gospel of Matthew. Literary and textual analysis is performed mainly by comparison with analogical excerpts from other gospels, especially the gospel of Mark. Due to this, the unique message of Matthew's gospel, which is Peter's behaviour as the answer of faith to the manifestation of Jesus's divinity, is revealed. The evangelist thus unravels a vast composition about the church. The figure of the Apostle Peter, his role and meaning within the whole text of the gospel is the subject of the second part of the thesis. The picture of the first disciple is characterized not only by an exemplary faith, but also by a failure and an example of human weakness. This fact leads to the question about what was the goal that the evangelist followed by describing the negative aspects of Peter's actions. The third part deals with the fundamental...
