Vliv jógy na pozornost dětí předškolního věku / Influence of yoga on the attention of preschool children

Volfová, Veronika January 2016 (has links)
TITLE: Influence of yoga on the attention of preschool children AUTHOR: Bc. Veronika Volfová DEPARTMENT: Department of Physical Education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. et. Mgr. Zdeňka Engelthalerová ABSTRACT: This thesis aims to determine whether regular yoga exercises of preschool children influence the progress of their attention positively. The thesis is divided in two parts. The theoretical part starts with the definition of preschool age and the introduction of the principles, effects, and meaning of yoga exercises. Further, it explains the term attention and states options of its influencing and outcomes of already performed research in this area. The practical part offers the results of quantitative research that observed the relationship between yoga exercises and children's attention. The research had the form of an experiment, i.e. with the collaboration of an experimental group, which participated in yoga exercises, and a control group with no yoga exercises. The attention level of children from both groups was determined by means of two attention tests both before the exercise set and afterwards. Although the attention level has improved with both groups, the research results show a more distinctive improvement with the experimental group. KEYWORDS: Yoga - Preschool child - Attention - Concentration -...

Analýza hodnoty ekosystémových služeb metodami vyjádřených preferencí: případová studie kamenných snosů ve východním Krušnohoří / Analysis of the value of ecosystem services by stated preference methods: Case study of clearance cairns in the Eastern Ore Mountain

Břízová, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
During last decade there has been developed concept of so-called ecosystem services (e.g. Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, 2005) in matured countries. This concept focus especially on identification of benefits resulting from intact ecosystem and also on various ways of taking all those benefits into account when dealing with decision-making process of market economy. Goal of this concept (among other things) is to keep currently freely available ecosystem services in nature as they are and also to ensure natural conditions for life won't be becoming worse. Landscape of eastern Ore Mountain has its specific character especially because of few unique ecosystems which don't occur in other locations at all; or they are presented there but not in such high volume. We can consider mountain meadows, natural streams and clearance cairns at the most important local unique ecosystems. Main goal of diploma thesis is to analyze recreational and mainly aesthetic values of clearance cairns. Even though clearance cairns are important biotopes there was quite small attention dedicated to them in existing analyses made in Czech Republic. That is in heavy contrast to attention dedicated to those biotopes in other areas, e.g. in eastern part of Ore Mountain belonging to Saxony where local inhabitants appreciate clearance cairns so much that every single section of them is completely documented (resulting into 1.000 kilometers of documented clearance cairns). Diploma thesis is based on methodology using analysis of primary data obtained from empirical research. Research was realized in eastern Ore Mountain during summer 2013 and author of this thesis was actively participated both in preparation phase and also in realization phase. Thesis also uses random utility theory, discrete choice models and also stated preferences methods (e.g. Bateman et al., 2002). Multinominal logit model and random parameter logic model are used for values estimation. Based on performed analysis thesis verifies or disproves hypothesis saying that willingness to pay for clearance cairns is statistically insignificant (i.e. people don't consider this landscape element as having significant value). Diploma thesis results will be used as a suggestion for obtaining clearance cairns management.

Nízkoteplotní polarizovaný terč pro studium spinové struktury nuklonů v experimentu COMPASS / Low temperature polarized target for spin structure studies of nucleons at COMPASS

Pešek, Michael January 2014 (has links)
Title: Low temperature polarized target for spin structure studies of nucleons at COMPASS Author: Bc. Michael Pešek Department: Department of low temperature physics Supervisor of the master thesis: prof. Ing. Miroslav Finger, DrSc. Abstract: In presented thesis we describe concept of Deep Inelastic Scattering of leptons on nucleons in context of nucleon spin structure studies. Both polarized and unpolarized cases are discussed and concept of Transverse Momentum Dependent Parton Distribution Functions (TMD PDF) is introduced. The possibility of TMDs measurement using Semi-inclusive DIS (SIDIS) is described along with related results from COMPASS experiment. The future Drell-Yan programme at COMPASS is briefly mentioned and its importance is presented on the universality test i.e. change of sign of T-odd TMDs when measured in Drell-Yan and SIDIS. The importance of Polarized Target (PT) for spin structure studies is highlighted and principles of Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) are given using both Solid effect and spin temperature concept. COMPASS experiment is described in many details with accent given to PT. Finally the thermal equilibrium (TE) calibration procedure is described and carried out for 2010 and 2011 physics runs at COMPASS. The average polarization measurement results from 2010 and 2011 are...

Důsledky polyploidizace pro invazní potenciál druhu Vicia cracca / Impact of polyploidy on the invasive potential of Vicia cracca

Líblová, Zuzana January 2014 (has links)
This work is about diploids and tetraploids of Vicia cracca species, the two commonly occurring cytotypes. The first part is devoted to the distribution of cytotypes of this species in the secondary range in North America. It was hypothesised that polyploid species become invasive more frequently than diploid species. Their greater success may be given by greater variability of genes obtained by polyploidisation and gene subfunkcionalizing. All invasive populations of Vicia cracca species involved in this study were tetraploid. Based on this we can say that only tetraploids are invasive in this secondary colonized area. Polyploid species can be better competitors thanks to their expected better growth characteristics and stress resistance. Therefore the second part of this work is testing the hypothesis that polyploids are more variable in size of different parts of the plant body and therefore more able to grow even in conditions that are not suitable for diploids. As predicted by the EICA hypothesis (evolution of increased competitive ability), secondary colonized area also provide more space for further evolution and we can expect that growth characteristics of plants from the invasive range will differ from plants of the same ploidy from the original distribution range. This part of the work...
