'Party Season: A Screenplay-Based Inquiry into Filming and Judgment, with Accompanying Essay'.

Shepherd, Barrett James January 2007 (has links)
Party Season is about sex and speech and employs some of the conventions of the porn film. Apparently inconsequential 'filler' scenes and dialogue link the pay-off scenes of vividly depicted sex. Except that, in Party Season, this relationship is gradually reversed - the scenes of excessive behaviour becoming 'filler' scenes linking the pay-off moments, the latter often embedded in deliberately extended 'unrealistic' dialogue. A key component of this as a piece of inquiry-based practice is the exploration of this altering balance and of how action and dialogue can function to produce such a reversal of conventionality. The intention with the accompanying essay is to sustain a progressive interweaving of reflective commentary and analytical vignettes. There is also an intended symmetry here - an 'excessive' essay (long, without conventional subheadings, breaks, etc.) will sit alongside the 'excessive' screenplay as its twin of sorts, a different style of invention. The essay is to speech what the screenplay is to sex.

Filmová a audiovizuální tvorba na základní škole jako prostředek stmelování třídy a prevence sociálně patologických jevů ve třídě / Film and audiovisual production on basic school as a way of class socialization and prevention of socially pathological phenomena in the classroom

Šuslík, Marcel January 2017 (has links)
Main theme of my dissertation is a use of movie making among secondary school children to support class climate and also to prevent some specific social pathological events. Dissertation closely relates to my previous Bc. dissertation which is summed up at the beginning. Then based on literature review I discuss class climate in general, its basic elements and ways in which can teacher positively influence it. In the section about a prevention of negative social pathological events I was focused on those imminently related to class environment. Then I analysed methodology of consecutive movie making and suitable methods of research of class climate benefits. The focal point of my dissertation is however a participant observation of school movie making which was created as a part of Antifetfest contest. The movie making was observed from an initial topic formulation to a school opening. An analysis of my observation was connected to sociometric measurement which was done before and after the movie making. In an effort to state if the movie making is a suitable secondary school method was the whole analysis joined with opinions of my colleagues and students.

Sayeg, Heitor Siqueira. January 2007 (has links)
Abstract: Vertical aerial videography is a commonly technique used by geologists and researchers from several fields of knowledge. Aerial videography of low altitude, in oblique viewing, is a resource not spread, but very accessible, by the quality of digital equipment available, by capacity and facility of software and hardware operation and by the low cost of flight hour in small planes. The terrain observation (imaging) and oblique visualization of landscape in TV language allow building data base, to promote discrimination of surface landforms and morphologic patterns with tectonic meanings, and supply an approach that supplement the information derived from other media. In this work the goal was to apply this technique of data register in low cost and complexity of data treatment, test its aptitude to compose the didactic material and transmit specific information from geological interest. / Doutor

Čeští kaskadéři - od těžkých začátků až ke světové špičce / Czech Stuntmen - From Hard Beginnings to World's Elite

Kolářová, Denisa January 2017 (has links)
The aim of the work is to extend the hitherto superficial knowledge of the history and development of the profession of Czech film stuntmen, from the 1960s to the post- revolutionary period with overlapping to the present. Using the oral history method (combined with available sources), the work will focus on professional development. Attention will be paid to the creation of a profession as such, key films or contacts with foreign productions. Other subtopics include stunt training, stunt equipment, or a woman's view of this predominantly male occupation. Topics will be reflected in pre- revolutionary and post-revolutionary years. Subsequently, the stumbling block will be evaluated by the greatest professional differences that have occurred over the years.. Key words: Stuntmen, horses, filming, oral history, dangers

Home Sweet Home

Cheng, Pai-Hsueh 27 July 2023 (has links)
Home Sweet Home is a short horror film that tells the story of Gavin and his encounters with supernatural energies after he moves to a new room. In the end, the story reveals that his roommate is the initiator. The movie draws inspiration from a variety of classic horror films, with an emphasis on those that are set in homes and bedrooms. Home is usually considered the safest place, but when this familiar place is haunted, it tortures us, and we have nowhere to run. Taiwanese religious elements along with urban legends, are featured prominently in the video as a source of the terror. / Master of Fine Arts / Home Sweet Home is a short horror film produced by a group of Virginia Tech students. The film tells the story of Gavin following his encounters with the paranormal following his relocation to a new room. In the end, the story reveals that his roommate is the initiator. The film is inspired by many classic horror films with a concentration on films containing scenes in the bedroom and at home in particular, such as the Japanese movie" Ju On," the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" series, and "It Follows," etc. Home is usually considered the safest place, but when this familiar place is haunted, it tortures us, and there is nowhere we can flee. Taiwanese religious elements and urban legends are featured prominently in the video as a source of terror. Details in the film show Taiwanese's unique religious belief culture: a blend of Taoism, Buddhism, and some Hinduism and local beliefs.

The volleyball practice has been expanding in Brazil since the 1980s, mainly due to the international victories of the women's and men's teams, being mainly responsible for the increase in the number of practitioners. The modality manifests itself in many ways in society, in many places and for multiple purposes, so it is also a reason for reflection on the initiative. Despite being in a position to improve the understanding of the tactical logic of the game for practitioners, there is a prevalence of use in data and ready-answers, especially the coaches or teachers. Thus, the research aims to develop, implement and evaluate a didactic unit of volleyball initiation, a program of learning difficulties of teaching by volleyball teachers of SESC São Paulo, filming resources and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to assist in the teaching-learning process. A qualitative research present with theoretical reference in action research and organization in three stages: 1) Diagnostic survey with SESC São Paulo volleyball teachers; 2) Elaboration of a Didactic Unit of Volleyball and 3) Implementation and evaluation of the Didactic Unit. The teachers indicated through the questionnaire that "they observe an opponent's court and pass the ball in the empty spaces" are like greater difficulties of the beginning students. Based on the use of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) model as resources of movies and other ICT (cell phone, tablet, notebook, projector, applications, websites). The main results indicate that the filming of student games and ICT applications, in addition to being attractive, were remarkably facilitative in reaching the proposition. As recordings allowed the students to identify who got a look at the opposing squad, as well as the empty spaces and how they concomitantly with the moments of tactical awareness proposed, they could reflect, discuss and construct strategies and solutions to the tactical problems imposed. Such conditions favored a teaching for the formation of practitioners who understand a tactical logic of the game. It was observed in the last proposed game, that 43% of the test points disputes, throwing a ball with clear intention and direction to an opponent's court, there was a considerable increase when compared to the first game filmed at the beginning of the didactic unit. It is concluded that, despite the technical difficulties, the use of shooting and ICT, is not accepted in the acquisition of ability of beginners in volleyball play with tactical intentions.
