Přístupy k shlukování funkčních dat / Approaches to Functional Data Clustering

Pešout, Pavel January 2007 (has links)
Classification is a very common task in information processing and important problem in many sectors of science and industry. In the case of data measured as a function of a dependent variable such as time, the most used algorithms may not pattern each of the individual shapes properly, because they are interested only in the choiced measurements. For the reason, the presented paper focuses on the specific techniques that directly address the curve clustering problem and classifying new individuals. The main goal of this work is to develop alternative methodologies through the extension to various statistical approaches, consolidate already established algorithms, expose their modified forms fitted to demands of clustering issue and compare some efficient curve clustering methods thanks to reported extensive simulated data experiments. Last but not least is made, for the sake of executed experiments, comprehensive confrontation of effectual utility. Proposed clustering algorithms are based on two principles. Firstly, it is presumed that the set of trajectories may be probabilistic modelled as sequences of points generated from a finite mixture model consisting of regression components and hence the density-based clustering methods using the Maximum Likehood Estimation are investigated to recognize the most homogenous partitioning. Attention is paid to both the Maximum Likehood Approach, which assumes the cluster memberships to be some of the model parameters, and the probabilistic model with the iterative Expectation-Maximization algorithm, that assumes them to be random variables. To deal with the hidden data problem both Gaussian and less conventional gamma mixtures are comprehended with arranging for use in two dimensions. To cope with data with high variability within each subpopulation it is introduced two-level random effects regression mixture with the ability to let an individual vary from the template for its group. Secondly, it is taken advantage of well known K-Means algorithm applied to the estimated regression coefficients, though. The task of the optimal data fitting is devoted, because K-Means is not invariant to linear transformations. In order to overcome this problem it is suggested integrating clustering issue with the Markov Chain Monte Carlo approaches. What is more, this paper is concerned in functional discriminant analysis including linear and quadratic scores and their modified probabilistic forms by using random mixtures. Alike in K-Means it is shown how to apply Fisher's method of canonical scores to the regression coefficients. Experiments of simulated datasets are made that demonstrate the performance of all mentioned methods and enable to choose those with the most result and time efficiency. Considerable boon is the facture of new advisable application advances. Implementation is processed in Mathematica 4.0. Finally, the possibilities offered by the development of curve clustering algorithms in vast research areas of modern science are examined, like neurology, genome studies, speech and image recognition systems, and future investigation with incorporation with ubiquitous computing is not forbidden. Utility in economy is illustrated with executed application in claims analysis of some life insurance products. The goals of the thesis have been achieved.

Weilovy diferenciály / Weil differentials

Väter, Ondřej January 2015 (has links)
This thesis focuses upon how to calculate local components of Weil differentials of an elliptic function field. Because Weil differentials constitute a one-dimension vector space then one Weil differential is fixed. An algorithm calculating a local component is developed for the fixed one. The first algorithm computes local components of places of degree one. It is based upon elementary properties of local components. The definition of the Weil differential does not say enough about why it is defined in this way and about why it is useful. Thus there is the relationship between the Weil differential and some objects from complex analysis like the Laurent series and the residue. It provides a better understanding of properties of the Weil differential. The result of this thesis are other two algorithms calculating local components of Weil differentials. The algorithms employ the residue. 1

Analýza zdravotně sociálních důsledků na život pacientů s polytraumatem / Analysis of healthy social effects for the life of patiens with polytrauma

PLACER, Jiří January 2012 (has links)
Polytrauma is a severe multiple injury posing an imminent threat to human life. Such trauma will then significantly affect the quality of client's life and, consequently, also the constituent parts of his or her personality. The research has shown that, the therapy succes, which is realised in the system of comprehensive rehabilitation, depends on an effective medical care delivered by a multidisciplinary team of specialists and also on an active involvement in the treatment by the clients themselves. The quality of clients' life that the polytraumas entaile is influenced by their age, sex, education, profession, classification of multiple injury and also by harmonious family relationships and support offered by the clients' partners.

Význam ergoterapie pro rehabilitaci seniorů / The importance of Occupational Therapy in the rehabilitation of the elderly

PULKERTOVÁ, Jindřiška January 2009 (has links)
Increasingly better living and working conditions, higher quality healthcare and social conditions are resulting in higher life expectancy more than ever. This is called population ageing. Illness or injury in older age causes various and specific problems which affect all personal areas of the elderly such as physical, emotional, social and spiritual status. It is the aim of rehabilitation to improve or restore those areas following personal injury or illness. One of the various professional disciplines contributing to the rehabilitation process is Occcupational Therapy. The main aim of the thesis is to clarify the role of Occupational Therapy in the area of elderly rehabilitation. It also aims to incorporate the World Health Organisation{\crq}s International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) into clinical work of Occupational Therapy and to find its practical use in this discipline.

Analýza funkčních dat a modelování specifické míry úmrtnosti a plodnosti / Functional data analysis and modeling age-specific mortality and age-specific fertility

Bezchlebová, Daniela January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze two major indicators representing the processes of natural changes in population, which are not influenced by age structure -- age specific fertility rate and age specific mortality rate and to introduce functional data analysis, which has recently become increasingly applied in many scientific fields. The functional data analysis is introduced on the Czech demographic data set for more than last sixty years. The thesis briefly describes historical development of mortality and fertility and also describes selected methods of functional data analysis by using statistical program R. Functional data analysis provides a wide variety of graphics tools to explore the data which we called functional and help us to explore all typical and atypical features, identify outliers etc.

Psané texty prostěsdělovacího funkčního stylu / Written texts in the matter-of-fact functional style

SMETANOVÁ, Veronika January 2013 (has links)
The aim of the Thesis ?Written texts in the matter-of-fact functional style? is to describe the changes of functional styles in present day communication, as the consequence of diminishing of differences between formality and informality. Concerning the extent of the issue, we will mainly focus on spontaneous written documents of the matter-of-fact functional style, which have been significantly replacing the primarily spoken speeches. The work goes on analysis of language material which has been gathered within opinion newsgroup portal Novinky.cz discussions. The analysis of the recorded materialis aimed at determining the way the spontaneous vicarious written documents resemble the speeches and considering if they keep some of their distinguishing features of a written text.
