Marinos, Antonios January 2011 (has links)
The study examines how teachers treat the teaching of the subject geometric uniformity and the potential dimensions of variation that can be opened. The study was conducted through observation of four secondary teachers who teach mathematics course B (samhällsprogrammet). The observations were supplemented by two interviews. When processing the collected data material, variation theory has been used as an analytical tool. The results show that students experienced a number of openings of dimensions of variation, which may be relevant to create challenges for students. Keywords: Teachers, geometric uniformity, mathematics, variation theory, observation, interview, teaching content and dimension of variation.
