O presente trabalho de pesquisa doutoral apresenta uma proposta de leitura e interpretação do Evangelho conforme Marcos, fundamentada nas teorias das Ciências da Linguagem, advindas das elaborações teóricas dos estudiosos Mikhail M. Bakhtin, Erich Auerbach e Northrop Frye e também de perspectivas das novas retóricas e da narratologia, as quais têm em comum a influência de Ernst Cassirer e sua filosofia das formas simbólicas. Segundo a concepção proposta na tese, o discurso religioso da fonte advinda do mundo antigo, que é o objeto da presente pesquisa, é estudado a partir do texto, compreendido como realidade imediata por detrás do qual não se pode sondar a realidade concreta. As investigações realizadas a partir do referencial teórico mencionado conduzem à compreensão de que o Evangelho conforme Marcos é um discurso religioso que se manifesta em linguagem popular, cujo estudo dirigido a um breve trecho de seu conteúdo (Mc 3.20-35) assim nomeado como perícope revela a subversão simbólica que pode ser descrita pelo conceito bakhtiniano de carnavalização. / The present doctoring academic research has a way of reading and interpretation of the gospel based on the Gospel of Mark, mainly based on the theories of the Sciencies of Language, which they have their origins in theorical elaborations of Mikhail M. Bakhtin, Erich Auerbach and Northrop Frye, also, this academic research is based on perspectives from new speeches and the plot theory and they have in common the influence of Ernst Cassirer and his philosophy of the symbolical forms. In the thesis, the religious discourse which comes from the ancient world, and which is the object of this research, is studied through the text, and this text is understood as an imediate reality which it is impossible to scrutiny the concrete reality beyond this text. All investigations done based on these theories lead us to the comprehension that the Gospel of Mark is a religious discourse which comes from the popular speech. This study is based on a brief part of its contents (Mk 3.20-35) and this part of the text is called an excerpt and it reveals the symbolic subversion which can be explained by the bakhtinian concept of carnivalization.

The thesis Literary Relationship Between the Gospel of Mark and the Gospel of Thomas aims to provide a closer look at the relationship between the ca- nonical Gospel According to Mark and the apocryphal Gospel According to Thomas. The first part of the thesis serves as an introduction: After prolego- mena to the Gospel of Mark and Thomas, it focuses on several contempora- ry hypotheses of the literary relationship between the Gospel of Thomas and Synoptics, as discussed in more recent articles and monographs. Thereafter, the second part of the thesis presents three studies of Thoma- sian and Markan sayings of Jesus. Where necessary, an excursion is made to other synoptic writings. The second part uses the method of linguistic comparison in order to reconstruct the redaction history and thus explain the original literary relationship of these two ancient writings.

When facing danger, the prevalent emotions are fear, despair and anxiety. Therefore, the exegetical study will be conducted using psychology, a science that studies human behavior and mental processes. Based on the theoretical principles of Bible study as literature, the goal of the present study is to perform an exegetical analysis of the biblical narrative in Mark. The miracle description includes all issues related found in manuals and biblical commentaries with their multivisions. It also includes a parenetic, coeval analysis of the text based on the sciences of human behavior aimed at updating and application in modern life. Therefore, the text exegesis sheds light on the history, the validity of the pericope and update for modern life based on psychology. It applies to the study in question the historical-critical method over the structuralist and fundamentalist / Esta tese busca realizar uma leitura da narrativa em Marcos 4,35-41. Postula centrar-se no caráter dos personagens querendo entender o comportamento dos mesmos diante da situação de perigo na tempestade no mar expressa na inquirição dirigida a Jesus: ―Mestre, não te importa que pereçamos?‖ Diante de um perigo, as emoções sobressalentes no humano são medo, ansiedade e desespero. Por isso, o estudo exegético será realizado em diálogo com a psicologia, ciência que estuda o comportamento humano e os processos mentais. Tendo como base os pressupostos teóricos de estudo da Bíblia, enquanto literatura, este trabalho realiza análise exegética da narrativa bíblica em Marcos. Reúne em torno da narrativa de milagre todas as questões relativas ao tema que se encontram em manuais e comentários bíblicos com suas multivisões. Realiza ação parenética coeva do texto em diálogo com as ciências do comportamento humano visando atualização e aplicação na vida hodierna. Deste modo, a exegese do texto em questão, lança luz sobre a historicidade, a validade da perícope e atualização para a vida hodierna com corte psicológico.
