TITLE: Specifics of the Church grammar schools in the Czech Republic AUTHOR: Bc. Jan Pech DEPARTMENT: School Management Center SUPERVISOR: Mgr. et. Bc. Jiří Trunda ABSTRACT: The Churches and religious denominations can become school and school facility founders according to the law no. 561/2004 of the Statute book, Education law. What are the specifics of the Church schools from the management of education point of view, which this work deals with? And do these specifics actually exist? Do the tangible differences that clearly specify the Church school against the school founded by the municipality, region or the union of municipalities exist? We will focus on the Church grammar schools. There are 18 such grammar schools in the Czech Republic and all of them, were founded by the Roman Catholic Church. These institutions create a specific, not large group of schools that provide high-quality education and also pass religious values on with emphasis on respecting the uniqueness and value of each human being. In the beginning, this work shortly looks into the historical development of the Church schools and their actual legal status. Then, using the qualitative research method - the analysis of the materials, it deals with the questions of the Church schools management and noticing their potential specifics....

Volleyball as a part of P.E. lesson at grammar schools Summary The aim of this thesis is to summarize issues about teaching volleyball during P.E. lessons at grammar schools. The core of this work lies in the empirical part, whose goal is to answer research questions about the form and the extent of teaching volleyball, students' preferences concerning this sport, and determining a methodical model of teaching volleyball. In the theoritical part you can find basic rules, six basic skills, information about formations and combinations, which are used in the game. The research part deals with determining of various hypothesis and they are either confirmed or disproven. The research methods used in this section are a questionnaire and an experiment itself. The last methodical part analyses training units of the experiment. As a result, voleyball lessons for boys at grammar schools are covered. The main contribution in this part is the elaboration of a model program consisting of 12 training units, which can be used by teachers in P.E. lessons. The theme of this diploma thesis is selected aspects of the state graduation exam through the perspective of Prague's grammar schools students. The aim of this work is to map current situation regarding the state graduation exam with the emphasis on the selected aspects of this exam. These aspects will be seen primarily in terms of the former as well as current students of Prague grammar schools. In the beginning of theoretical part is outlined the development of graduation exams followed by the theme of the state graduation exams, which were launched in 2011 and since then are continuously modified. The theoretical part was inspired by professional literature but also by Internet resources and academic works written on a similar theme. At the end of this part there are also mentioned selected media feedbacks on the topic of state graduation exam. The second empirical part was developed on the research which took place at selected Prague grammar schools. This research was conducted through a questionnaire survey. The aim of the research was to analyze selected aspects of the state graduation exam at source - to see the state graduation exam through students and also teacher's perspective. Teachers were an additional group of respondents in the research.

Inclusion of learning exercises intended to acquisition of schoolwork is desirable in majority of science subjects. This diploma thesis deals with creation of chemistry worksheets for 8th and 9th grade pupils of secondary school and forpupils of corresponding grades of lower grammar schools. Research of contemporary literature mostly chosen workbooks and worksheets available on the Internet isincluded in the thesis. The main part of the thesis was creation of worksheets on diferent themes in chemisty education according to RVP ZV. Created worksheets were verified and evaluated at schools. The thesis brings new possibilities how to deal with teaching some of the chemistry topics using pre-prepared worksheets, which contain mostly exercises for acquiring new schoolwork.

(in English) The thesis main focus is to research racial prejudice of the secondary school students in Prague. Firstly, the theoretical part analyses adolescence as a specific developmental period. Secondly, it describes the profile of secondary school student based on an analysis of Framework Education Programme for Secondary General Education (Grammar Schools) in relation to the formation and consolidation of a set of beliefs, attitudes and value orientation of the students. Finally, it examines the area of prejudices and prejudicial thinking. The practical part is devoted to the research of prejudicial thinking of students from two secondary schools in Prague, the methodology of the research and the results evaluation.

The submitted work constitutes an elaboration of a thematic unit "Development of nature" designed for grammar schools in both expert and methodical aspect. Resulting outputs are a web presentation, two short educational films and two elaborated tutorial programmes based on E - U - R model of teaching in the theoretical framework of constructivism. For better understanding and orientation in the curriculum, the look into the past is divided into four zooms: 1) in the scale of milliards, it includes the period from the origin of the Earth until the present; 2) in the scale of millions, it brings closer the Fanerozoicum; 3) in the scale of hundreds of thousands years, it covers the Qarternary era; 4) in the scale of thousands, it corresponds to the Holocene. Elaboration of this thematic unit is tied together with the ongoing school reform. It takes into account the incorporation of Geology educational field into the Framework Education Programme for Grammar Schools and works with key competencies.

The master thesis deals with the issue of the Global Development Education. It is focused closer on the description of the implementation methods of this topic into the Czech education system. Global Development Education is not mentioned directly in the Framework Education Programmes of the Czech Republic. Nevertheless the Framework Education Programmes contain it. Global Development Education goes across the Cross-curricular Topics. However that could be the reason why the schools don't pay to it as much attention as it deserves. This thesis describes the ways of implementation of the Global Development Education into the Czech education system and into the teaching in the Czech schools. This work is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and it tries to briefly outline the theoretical background, beginnings of the Global Development Education in the Czech surroundings, curriculum and strategic documents that deals with the issue of the Global Development Education. In the first part there are also mentioned the possibilities how to integrate this topic into the school education programs and into the teaching as well. The main goal of this master thesis is to find out and analyze knowledge and differences in knowledge of students of the subject 1FU211 Accountancy 1 divided to the graduates of grammar schools and business schools. The thesis is dividend into two parts. The theoretical part includes some of the interesting stats and information about czech school system. Then describes the syllabus of the subject 1FU211 Accountancy 1 at VŠE and the curriculum of accountancy at business school and also this part includes information about the textbooks, which are used in lessons of accountancy at VŠE and business schools. The practical part -- questionnaires -- is implemented to achieve the objectives of the thesis. The results of students VŠE are compared with the results of students of Business school Kollárova. The results of students VŠE are also interpreted separately divided into results of graduates of grammar schools and business schools. In addition, charts and graphs are used for better presentation of the findings. Finally, the summarized findings are interpreted.
