Professionella som arbetar med traumatiserade klienter löper risk att själva utveckla symtom på psykisk ohälsa, till exempel symtom på sekundär traumatisering som i längden kan leda till utbrändhet om det inte uppmärksammas och tas omhand. Flera faktorer brukar spela in så som hur arbetet är organiserat, trygghet i personalgruppen, utbildning och erfarenhet, antal år i yrket, tillgång till handledning och så vidare. Handledningens betydelse för professionella kan inte nog uppmärksammas. Vi har därför genomfört en kvalitativ intervjustudie i vilken vi har gjort en ansats att ta reda på handledares tankar och erfarenheter kring fenomenet sekundär traumatisering, hur resiliens kan byggas hos yrkesverksamma, hur chefens medverkan påverkar handledningen och gruppens betydelse. För att fördjupa förståelsen har vi använt oss av teorier kring sekundär traumatisering, affektsmitta/spegelneuron, gruppens betydelse i handledning och handledarens roll över tid kopplat till digitalisering. / Professionals working with traumatized clients are at risk of developing symptoms of secondary traumatization, which in the longrun can lead to fatigue and burnout if it goes unattended. It’s multifactorial with factors such as organizational factors, education, experience, years in the workfield, access to supervision and so on. We can’t give enough credit to the importance of supervision in the field of social and therapeutic work and therefore we’ve done this study giving voice to the supervisors. Supervisors in this field have lots of experiences, thoughts and knowledge regarding how to tend to professionals at risk of developing symptoms of secondary traumatization as well as how to build resilience in professionals. If group-supervision is a place where the boss attends or not is another question we’ll try to understand more about. We’ve used theories on secondary traumatization, affect contagion/mirror neurons, the significance of the group in supervision and the supervisor’s role over time linked to digitalization.
