The present paper has the object of mapping the Hip Hop culture, being Breaking the focus study. Our practice was an exercise of nomadism in an attempt of following the lines drawn throughout the encounters with the literature with the groups that are influenced by the Hip Hop Culture, giving visibility to the modes of subjectivity, singularity and affections that escaped from certain territories captured by mass culture and control strategies. In this process, we affected and were affected by the history of Hip Hop that was being perceived as narratives of creative processes. Such processes were sustained by vibrating bodies whose intensities shoot resistance movements with lines of escape that allow the creation of particulars ways of existence related to those created by the capitalistic flows.. To map the movement of desire in the will of expanding life through the managing of body-city-breaking meant understand that the change does not repeat and that there is always something in the other that transforms one.

Rap, Rupturas e Continuidades: Uma análise sobre a relação entre o Rap e a Mídia / Rap, Ruptures and Continuity: An analysis about the connection between Rap and MediaJocimara Rodrigues de Sousa 17 September 2015 (has links)
This work presents an analysis about the rap diffusion in the cultural scene, starting from the influence of one of the main cultural mediators present in this process, the mainstream media. Therefore, it was identified the consequences of this phenomenon in production processes, dissemination and cultural reception, from the analysis of media coverage of the rap and hip-hop in Brazil, between the years of 1980 and 2000. Considering that rap figures as tool of instrumentalization of the struggle for recognition of rights of political minorities, besides proves itself a relevant aesthetic language, which breaks with traditional patterns of artistic production, the following research focuses on the process of mediation by rap media agent, specifically, based on the diffusion of their content in Folha de S.Paulo newspaper, in the magazines Veja and BIZZ and on MTV station. Considering the fact that rap constitutes an innovative expression, both in the cultural field as social, while devoloping this research, it became clear its marketing appeal and the growing interest that the media followed the evolution of this phenomenon. Considering the approach of the media to rap scene, it was possible to identify the influence exerted from media to rap, revealing the symbiotic and reciprocal relationship between mediation spheres, production and circulation in the cultural field. The analysis also revealed that the approach and influence of traditional media over the rap mobilizes codes that combines it into three perspectives: fashion, moviment and market. The alternation of the predominance of one of these approaches is aligned with the social changes and the emergence of new discourses that echo in a determinated context. However, from the occupation of a definitive rap space in the mainstream media and the consolidation of its own market, the rap now has a new front in the movement that is mobilized from the material and symbolic resources in vogue to develop alternative strategies production, dissemination and cultural marketing.

Microangiographic, histological and radiographic study of the femoral head following experimental hip dislocation in rabbitsDuncan, Clive P. January 1972 (has links)
In 220 rabbits (65 mature and 155 immature) the effects of dislocation, persistant dislocation and reduction at varying intervals (immediately, 12, 24 and 48 hours after dislocation) of the left hip were studied by microangiographic, histological and radiographic examination.
Dislocation of the left hip was induced manually under anaesthesia by a doraally applied force with the hip held adducted and internally rotated. Reduction was effected by ventral traction with the hip in the same position. The right hip was untouched and used as a control in all cases.
In 135 animals, a tracer dye was infused into the abdominal aorta proximal to its bifurcation under standard conditions of temperature and pressure. This infusion was done at 10 minutes, and at 1, 3, 5, and 7 days after dislocation or reduction. The femoral heads were then processed and studied under stereomicroscopy. Histological and radiographic studies were made in the remaining 85 animals at intervals between 3 and 10 weeks after dislocation or reduction.
In immature animals, severe dye perfusion defecit was observed in all cases within 10 minutes of dislocation. This was maximal in the antero-medial half of the femoral head. The defecit was increased at 24 hours and persisted until 5 days after dislocation. At the seventh day recovery had commenced. A profound perfusion defecit was also noted within 10 minutes of immediate reduction, however, recovery was observed at 24 hours and was almost complete at 5 - 7 days. The rate of recovery in those animals in which the dislocation was reduced at 12, 24 and 48 hours did not differ from that observed in unreduced animals. In adult animals, significant circulatory disturbance was infrequently observed after dislocation and persistant dislocation. Consequently, the beneficial effects of reduction, if any, were obscured. The epiphyseo-metaphyseal vascular anastomoses across the epiphyseo scar were filled with dye in all mature rabbits and seemed to act as a route of blood supply and drainage in adult animals..
Extensive histological avascular necrosis of the femoral head was observed in the majority of animals, but was significantly more common in immature rabbits. Less extensive and less common avascular necrosis was observed in immature animals after immediate reduction. However, reduction delayed to 12 hours or later was not associated with a lower incidence of bone death.
Abnormal radiological findings were common and varied. Specific alteration in density and outline of the femoral head was however infrequently observed, but corelated well with the histological findings. Decreased biodensity was associated with inbalanced bone resorption and hyperaemia, and increased radiodensity with bone death and new bone apposition.
It is concluded that traumatic dislocation causes embarassment and sequential changes in the circulation within the femoral head in rabbits. The perfusion defecit is more severe in immature animals as the intra-osseous epiphyseo-metaphyseal vessels minimize this circulatory disturbance in adult animals. Early reduction enhances early and complete recovery of blood supply in immature animals. Varying degrees of avascular necrosis of the femoral head occur in both adult and immature animals with and without reduction, but is more common and extensive in immature animals. Abnormal radiological features within the femoral head are infrequently observed up to ten weeks after dislocation but correlate well with the histological findings when present. / Surgery, Department of / Medicine, Faculty of / Graduate

The Fc Orth (SA) final examination The short-term outcome of hip revision arthroplasty with Trabecular Metal™ components and augmentsNoconjo, Lubabalo 15 September 2021 (has links)
Background: Highly porous Trabecular Metal™ acetabular components are increasingly being used in revision hip arthroplasty as they facilitate ingrowth, provide a useful mechanism to deal with bone loss and may decrease the risk of infection. The purpose of this audit was to describe: 1) the short-term radiological outcomes of revision hip arthroplasty with Trabecular Metal™ components and augments. 2) the total number of hip arthroplasty surgeries over five years, and indications for revision. Methods: A retrospective folder and radiograph review of all patients who had revision total hip arthroplasty (THA) at a tertiary level hospital from February 2012 to February 2017 was done. Results: There were 979 THAs performed over the period – 863 (87%) primary THAs, and 116 (12%) hip revision cases performed in 107 patients. Of the 116 (107 patients) hip revisions, there were seven (6%) re-revisions in five patients. Trabecular Metal™ was used for revision in 16 hips (14 patients), which is 13.7% of the total 116 revisions. There were ten females and four males with an average age of 61 years. The average duration of follow-up in this group was 18.5 months (1.5– 39.2). In these 16 Trabecular Metal™ hips, there were three (18.7%) early failures of fixation due to technical errors. The indications for revision were aseptic loosening 67 (58.6%), septic loosening 11 (9.5%), liner wear 18 (15.5%), periprosthetic fracture five (4.3%), other 15 (13%). Conclusion: In our institution, Trabecular Metal™ revisions had a 18.7% early failure rate due to technical error. 12% of the arthroplasty is revision surgery. The indications for revision are similar to published literature.
