The aim of this thesis is to determine the influence of assisted therapy of dogs and horses for people with musculoskeletal disabilities and sensory impairments. The operational objective is to define the status and position of a therapy with the assistance of a dog and a horse in the context of the complex rehabilitation of a client. The theoretical part concentrates on the issues of zootherapy and zooasistance as supportive methods for easing muscle spasms, the development of fine and gross motor skills, development of verbal and nonverbal communication and development of orientation in space. In the research part of the thesis there are used qualitative techniques of data collection (history and observation), all rounded off by grounded theory. By the carried out research there were found positive manifestations in both the social and psychological areas, as well as in the areas of communication and development of fine and gross motor skills of children with disabilities.

This diploma thesis focuses on possible application ways of the selected therapies (canistherapy, hippotherapy and music therapy) in particular institutions for disabled people. The therapies mentioned above have been seen as the methods of a compact rehabilitation process which use a positive influence of animals and music on one´s health. The thesis contains the theoretical part which introduces the summary of development and current terminology on the field of zootherapy, canistherapy, hippotherapy and music therapy. The selected topic has been dissected here in full details. It also introduces the problem regarding physical disabilities in general. The practical part of the thesis is a data survey which have been gained in the form of a qualitative research, being presented in two significant chapters. In the first one, the survey regarding the characteristics of the involved institutions can be found. The second chapter is an analysis and comparison of gained information. The aim of the survey is to introduce and sum up the possible ways of using and application of these special therapies in the selected institutions for physically disabled people within the south Bohemian region. The methods of qualitative research have been used. To reach the goal, data collection in a form of observation, semi-standartized interview and photodocumentation have been applied. The complete conclusion of the gained information can be found in the final part of the thesis. The supplements contain some photos regarding these particular therapies and the structure of semi-standartized interview. The thesis can be used as a source of information for both experts and amateurs.

The diploma thesis deals with hyporehabilitation and its influence on the (re) socialization of people with spinal cord lesions in adulthood. The theoretical part deals with physical disability and then defines the spinal cord injury and its consequences reflected in the life of the individual and the individual social aspects into which the disability is intertwined. We also deal with hyporehabilitation and its division into individual categories and their goals. Hyporerehabilitation is introduced as a possible way for the resocialization of people with spinal lesions. In this work we will introduce the individual components of hipporehabilitation and introduce ways of working with clients in individual areas. Each area is aimed at developing a different aspect of human personality. In all areas, we emphasize and raise the impact on physical disability and personality traits that form specifically spinal lesions. For each type of hiporebilitation, we indicate its goal of action. These goals and categories intersect, with the chapters emphasizing the impact on disability. The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the specialization examinations. Each horse for hiporehabilitation purposes is specially selected and trained in a composed Specialized Exam. I'm watching the so-called a selection of effects that affects the results of horses included in the trials and their subsequent use in hiporehabilitation. A database of 195 horses of different breeds was compiled, where different parameters of their body were evaluated on the basis of a linear description, and therefore specialized examinations for horses included in hiporehabilitation were performed. Based on the results of the specialization tests, the collected data were followed by statistical processing and evaluation of the effects of specialization tests for horses in hiporehabilitation. I divided the horses into 6 groups by type to better compare the necessary effects. Then, in the Gretl statistical program, I evaluated the individual parameters of horses that correlate together. I have given both positive and negative values, from which I conclude that one variable is smaller, the other is bigger. Various groups correlate different parameters, depending on the type of the horse. Then, I evaluated the step and trot in the individual groups. In the statistical program I created a so-called thermal maps, where the color correlated degrees of color were, the more red the color, the more the parameters correlate together. Only mares and geldings participate in the specialization tests. The most suitable age for inclusion is 5 years.

1 Abstract The subject of this thesis is hippotherapy as a supportive treatment method in children with Joubert syndrome and other hypotonic syndromes. In theoretical part is described Joubert syndrome in connection with education of students with special needs including legislation. In response to education of a child with disability there is further described therapy and basic therapeutic approaches that are often used concurrently with hippotherapy. Next part of thesis is focused on Joubert syndrome in terms of origin, causes, symptoms and diagnosis of the disease. With regards to research investigation in empiric part of the thesis there are further described specific educational approaches of individual with Joubert syndrome and other hypotonic syndromes. Theoretical part also comprises closer characteristics of hippotherapy as a possible supportive treatment method in terms of legislation, healthcare and social aspects. In empiric part there were used several methods of data collection within the qualitative research, these were analysis of studied literature, involved observation, case study, document analysis, narrative dialog with parent, discussion with hippotherapist and questionnaire submitted to parents of children attending hippotherapy. Title Positioning of patiens in hippotherapy Goals The goal of my thesis was maping and analysing positions and rules which are mostly used in hippotherapy, in which is used healthfull efekt of three dimentional motion of horses back. The target group are centers of rehabilitation, which are using hippotherapy under The Czech Hippotherapy Company, actively. Method Thesis is consisted of two sections. We also pretend quadrupedal locomotion activation. Abstract title: Postural deviations and their compensations of blind cyclist Thesis objective: The objective of this thesis is to create a compensatory motional program for a visually impaired client. Compensatory motional program deals with the positive influence of defective body posture and pain alleviation of relevant muscular areas, particularly in the areas of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Method: The research method is qualitative examinations by usage of pretest and posttest designs. The thesis is conceived as the case report of a 31-year-old patient with acquired handicap. Exercise in fitness center was selected as part of compensatory motional program with the application of stretching, relaxing and work-out exercise. Additionally, hippotherapy was practiced to improve the stability of individual body areas, as well as to generally enhance the body posture. The testing methods for defective body postures by Jaroš and Lomíček, Matthiase; as well as testing method by Janda, were applied for the verification of program effect. The HHT motor test was applied for the verification of hippotherapy. The aim of this work is to map out the scale and quality of hippo therapeutic and therapy dog services in the Czech Republic, and to evaluate the level of education and professional courses and the level of professional exams needed to provide good quality animal-assisted therapy. Special attention was paid to the financial side of the services provided and to the start-up costs involved including the acquisition of the animals, their training, aids, food and veterinary care.

Barbora Pyšková Title: Elektromyographic analysis of differences in selected excercises on pommel horse and riding horse Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to measure the activity of selected muscles, expressed as the percentage value of the maximal voluntary contraction (MVC), during excercises performed by both males and females probands. The effect of treatment (on pommel horse vs riding horse) and proband sex on muscle activity was tested. Methods: Maximal voluntary contraction of each muscle (eight in total) was electromyographically measured in each proband, using the test according to Janda. These values were used as a standard to which the values obtained by excercising on pommel horse and riding horse were related. The values were averages of three repeated measurements. The effect of studied factors was tested by analysis of variance. Results: The tested hypotheses were confirmed. The muscle activity during excercises was statistically significantly affected by the factors studied, therefore the variation in measured values is not random.
