Optimalizace biologické léčby nespecifických střevních zánětů (IBD) u dětí s využitím moderních biomarkerů / Optimization of biologic therapy in children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) using modern biomarkers

Ohem, Jan January 2020 (has links)
Optimization of biologic therapy in children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) using modern biomarkers Abstract to thesis Study programme: Biochemistry and Pathobiochemistry Introduction: In adults, infliximab (IFX) levels correlate with disease activity and antibodies to IFX (ATIs) predict treatment failure. We aimed to determine the association of IFX levels and ATIs with disease activity in paediatric population. Methods: This study was performed as a prospective observational study. We prospectively collected blood, stool, and clinical data from 65 patients (age 10.5-15.1 years) with Crohn's disease (CD) before IFX administration, and measured IFX trough levels, ATIs, and faecal calprotectin levels (CPT). We used multivariate analysis to identify the predictors of IFX levels. IFX and ATIs levels were meassured using ELISA. Results: Lower levels of IFX were associated with ATIs positivity (OR [odds ratio] 0.027, CI [confidence interval] 0.009-0.077). Higher C-reactive protein (CRP) level, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and CPT levels were found in patients with lower IFX levels. The optimal combination of specificity (50%) and sensitivity (74%) for disease activity was calculated for IFX levels ≥ 1.1 µg/ml using CRP level < 5 mg/l as a marker of laboratory remission. In a model that used CPT ≤...

Rozpad Československa a Jugoslávie - Komparativní případová studie / The Dissolution of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia - A Comparative Case Study

Kaplan, Petr January 2011 (has links)
The thesis compares two different modes of state disintegration of post-communist federations. Yugoslavia is an example of a violent breakup, Czechoslovakia stands for a peaceful way, how to split a state. Using the Level of Analysis concept the study looks for differences at five levels focusing mainly on the change caused by the process of democratic transition in both states that removed the old regime and brought a competitive atmosphere among the old and new elites representing various ethnic groups. The outcome of the analysis is that the role of the army, the length of the liberalization process and the different historical experience are factors that matter most.

Bodové defekty v materiálech pro detekci Rentgenova a gama záření / Point defects in materials for detection of X-ray and gamma radiation

Rejhon, Martin January 2019 (has links)
Title: Point defects in materials for detection of X-ray and gamma radiation Author: Martin Rejhon Department: Institute of Physics of Charles University Supervisor: prof. Ing. Jan Franc, DrSc., Institute of Physics of Charles Uni- versity Abstract: Cadmium telluride and its compounds are suitable materials for pro- duction of X-ray and gamma-ray detectors working at room temperature. How- ever, the detector quality is affected by material imperfections, such as crystal defects and impurities. It results into forming of deep levels which act as re- combination and trapping centers. Then, the accumulated space charge at these deep levels influences electric and spectroscopic properties of the detector. In the end it may result in the polarization effect, when the electric field is localized in vicinity of one contact and detection properties are decreased. This thesis reports a complex study of a detector band structure by various meth- ods with focus on differences between CdTe, CdZnTe, CdTeSe and CdZnTeSe. The electro-optic Pockels effect is used to investigate the influence of the illumi- nation in range 900 − 1800 nm on the inner electric field. The temperature and time evolutions of the electric field after application of bias or switching of the additional light at 940 nm were measured to determine deep levels...

Bezdrátová čidla pro měření hladiny vody / Wireless water level sensors

Pospíšil, Jakub January 2010 (has links)
The thesis deals with both scheme and its implementation of water-level metering apparatus. This data are send wireless into 500 m distant station. Potential ways of solution are gradually studied and final design suggested. Detailed implementation methods are described in the following section. Ultrasonic sensors are employed for level measurement and controlling element is processor ATmega162, data are transmitted by transceiver RC1280HP. Apparatus is suggested with a view to the lowest power consumption considering it will be supplied only with a accumulator. Solving of accepting station is not a part of the thesis. Functional tested sample is understated in the execution section.

Energetická náročnost vzduchotechnických jednotek pro bazénové haly / Energy performance of air handling units for swimming pool halls

Batelka, Václav January 2015 (has links)
The thesis is focused on determining the energy flows and the creation of an internal microclimate swimming pool halls. It describes the problems of design, the potential risks associated with the use of pools and thermodynamic processes heat and mass transfer. For this purpose was developed simulation program, which examines the behavior of heat and humidity in the room depending on external factors. The room can be simulated for any time period and geographic location. The outputs of the simulation are heat and mass balance, which will be covered air condition units. Three variants were designed and optimized solutions comparing claims on their operations. The experimental part is focused on the evaporation of the water. Measurement examines dependence of the speed of evaporation of water at different boundary conditions. Was investigated temperature dependence of water, temperature and relative humidity and air velocity above the water surface.

Návrh úpravy malého vodního toku v povodí Moravy / Proposal of river training of a small watercourse in the basin of the Morava

Mlčochová, Zuzana January 2016 (has links)
The thesis is concerned with an appraisal of capacity of channel and design of suitable measures for environmental protection. Solved segment is located in the channel of Český potok in RK 0,000 – 6,366. The channel is flowing through villages of Čelechovice na Hané, Smržice a Držovice in solved segment. Within own solution the locality was divided into three partial sections, which is enabling clearer description of the proposed measures. Flood measures are proposed in several variants for each partial section. Calculations of flow capacity and water surface for the selected N-year flows were performed by using the program of HEC - RAS 4.1.0. Proposed solutions to flood measures are processed in the drawings documentation.
