Problematika výživy při vysokohorské turistice / Problematics of mountaineers' nutrition

Honzejková, Kateřina January 2020 (has links)
Nutrition of both professional and occasional climbers in high altitude is often discussed topic in sports nutrition. Specially with latest studies showing connection between poor nutrition and high altitude sickness development. Dehydration in particular has a huge effect on the body at these altitudes and can be responsible for many of the symptoms previously attributed to hypoxia. The research was focused on the theoretical part, in which basic issue of nutrition and hydration are shown, as well as the acute issues that climbers may have experience on their journey to high altitude. The practical part was evaluated by a quantitative approach with the help of a questionnaire survey and its evaluation. The questionnaire was anonymous, nonstandardized with open and closed questions. A total of 68 respondents participated in the research. The results of the investigation are evaluated and discussed in the final parts of the thesis. The main objective of the thesis was focused on the dietary habits of respondents during their stay in high altitude, their awareness of the risks resulting from poor nutrition and dehydration and assess how much care respondents take about nutrition and hydration during their travels. Four hypotheses were set for the thesis. Key words: Nutrition; hydratation; acute...

Nová vize pro tatranský region / New Vision For Tatra Mountains Region

Bartková, Darina January 2014 (has links)
Tatra mountain region is considered to be a part of Slovak and Polish national identity. It is remarkable for outstanding sceneries and man’s relation to the country that developed from first settlements to an important tourist tradition. Such large area can be retained only by preserving its values that stay valid through time. New concept for the region is based on fully functional network of tourist trails. Proposing four objects of tourist accommodation in thoroughly selected locations, the project presents an idea of architectural space dealing with different requirements of its users.

Vliv vlastností povodí vysokohorských jezer v Tatrách na chemizmus vody / Influence of catchment characteristics of high-mountain lakes in the Tatra Mountains on water chemistry

Hynštová, Marie January 2014 (has links)
The presented thesis deals with catchments of the alpine lakes in the High Tatra Mountains. The lakes were subject of a long-term monitoring to detect changes of chemical and biotic composition of lake water induced by acid atmospheric deposition and by its decline. The studied processes required a quantitative approach to describe the characteristics of the catchments. The definition of new catchment parameters or the refining estimated parameters was not allowed without current technical and computing equipment because of the complexity of mountainous terrain. The morphological parameters for 26 catchments were obtained by analysis of the created digital elevation model (DEM) using tools of geographic information system (GIS, software ESRI ArcGIS 10.2). The land cover was detected by Google aerial map (2014). The links between chemical composition (NO3⁻, Σ(Ca2+ +Mg2+ )) and catchment properties based on the specified or refined catchment parameters (slope, portion of an area with a slope <26 ř in the catchment, proportion of different land cover types to the real catchment area) were analysed between the years 1993 and 2012 (respectively 2006). New morphological parameters were derived for the defined catchments. The catchments on the northern and the southern slope were distinguished by...

Záchranné nezdravotnické služby / Non-medical Rescue Services

Němcová, Eva January 2013 (has links)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the subject of non-medical rescue services. The main purpose is to analyze medical services provided by non-medical rescue services - especially Mountain Rescue Service and Mining Rescue Service. The theoretical part introduces the reader the activity of these two services provided in the Czech Republic from the perspective of organization, history, provided services, financing, legislation, professional training of the staff, and available equipment. The research part of the thesis is created on the basis of qualitative research using the method of content analysis of the statistically validates documents. The research results inform about the real extend of provided services, and give the concise information about the frequency and reasons of emergencies. This part of the thesis is completed with the information about the real education of the staff and short interview with leading managers. KEY WORDS Mountain Rescue Service, Mining Rescue Service, competence, training, organisation, emergencies, legislation.

Charakteristika společenstva hub na opadu smrku ztepilého kultivací a analýzou T-RFLP / Characterization of fungal community in spruce (Picea abies) litter using cultivation and T-RFLP

Kolářová, Zuzana January 2012 (has links)
Fungi have a key role in the decomposition of coniferous litter and affect nutrient cycling in forest ecosystems. Therefore, great emphasis is placed on exploring the diversity of these organisms. The aim of this thesis was to describe fungal diversity in spruce litter and revealed temporal development of this community in a forest regenerating after bark beetle outbreak. Another objective was to compare sites with different length of bark beetle damage. The study area was located in the Bohemian Forest mountain range. Litter bags with spruce needles were placed on the forest soil and several samplings were performed in the course of three years. Diversity of fungi and changes in the fungal community were assessed by two methods: cultivation of needles on 2ř MEA and fingerprinting method T-RFLP. In total 71 fungal species were obtained from needles during a three-year succession by cultivation approach. Using T-RFLP 122 different fragments were generally recorded. The dominant species were Scleroconidioma sphagnicola, Thysanophora penicillioides, Hormonema dematiodes, Ceuthospora pinastri, species of genus Chalara, Trichoderma polysporum, Mycena galopus and unknown species Helotiales sp. 1. Primary saprotrophs occured in the community mainly in first 8 months and then were replaced by basidiomycetes....

Horská chata pod Poľanou / Chalet under Poľana

Babicová, Ivana January 2018 (has links)
The aim of my diploma thesis is to design the object of a chalet, which is intended for recreation, boarding and accommodation. The accommodation is designed for 16 people in the form of tourist accommodation. The land, on which the proposed building is located, is on a slight slope, in an uninterrupted area in the protected landscape area of Poľana. Access to the land is secured by asphalt road from the northeast side of the land. It is also accessible by a tourist route from the southeastern side. The affected area is located approximately 10 km from the nearest village Hriňová. In the past, the site was often used for recreation. At a distance of 1 kilometer is the old mountain hotel Poľana, which is out of operation, but provides only temporary accommodation. The new chalet should return tourism to this area and increase the interest of tourists. The underground floor has a separate service for servicing and borrowing sports equipment. The building has one underground floor partially embedded in the terrain, from the south side accessible for the public. Two above-ground floors are made up of CLT panels, the first serving for a restaurant and a private dwelling unit, the second one for accommodation. The underground floor is designed with concrete filling blocks. The roof is a saddle, made of wooden collar construction. On the south side of the building is a large dormer.

Energetické zásobování horské chaty / Energy supply of mountain cottage

Flöhsler, Tomáš January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this Graduation Thesis is to devise a system of energy supply intended to provide supply of electric and heat energy to a vacation property. The main feature of this energy supply project stands for a shift from mains power supply to alternative energy supply using renewable resources. The reason for this change is the fustiness of power lines and their negative effect on the surrounding landscape. Due to the fact that authorities did not permit renovation of these power lines, the only way to preserve the functionality of the vacation property is to secure its power supply by employing renewable resources. The vacation property (a mountain cottage) is located in Hrubý Jeseník Mountains, approximately 15 kilometers from the town of Šumperk. The thesis also contains a description of the way outlying settlements are currently supplied with energy, including the possibility of accumulation and a brief description of each electrical appliance’s power consumption. In the design itself, I calculated the necessary collector surface and analyzed the most effective collector placement. As for the wind energy system, I had to found the best spot to place the turbine. Last but not least, the thesis contains the technical-economical comparison of the proposed alternatives.
