Jarní migrace obojživelníků ve vztahu k lunárnímu cyklu / Spring migration of amphibians in relation to the lunar cycle

Michalcová, Pavlína January 2016 (has links)
Spring migration of amphibians is often studied phenomenon. Individuals who wake up in the spring after winter hibernation leave their winter shelters and move into nearby water reservoirs to mate here. While the course of the reproduction is well documented a terrestrial stage of amphibian life cycle is poorly known. This work deals with the influence of exogenous factors on spring migration of alpine newt Ichthyosaura alpestris (Laurenti 1768) (formerly Mesotriton alpestris, Triturus alpestris) and is especially focused on the lunar cycle. The null hypothesis was formulated as follows: The number of newts arriving into the water reservoir during the spring migration is independent on the phase of the lunar cycle. Spring migration of alpine newts was monitored during two years at two localities. Males on location Čachnov mostly migrated on 25th day of the lunar cycle while females on this location mostly migrated on 26th day of the lunar cycle. Males on the location Hylváty mostly migrated on 21st day of the lunar cycle while females migrated evenly throughout the entire cycle. Based on obtained data it can be assumed that there is a correlation between the number of migrating individuals and the lunar cycle. Probably the main reason for this is the intensity of light reaching the earth´s surface which makes it easier for amphibians to navigate during the spring migration.

Druhová diverzita makrozoobentosu vybraných potoků na pravobřeží VN Lipno. / Species diverzity of macroinvertebrates of selected streams on the right bank of Lipno.

VLÁŠEK, Ondřej January 2015 (has links)
In my diploma thesis I reviewed the results of the collection of makrozoobentos and water chemistry on three streams, which are located on the right bank of the Lipno dam. This is a Bukový, Horský and Mlýnský stream. On these streams I watch a chemical properties of conductivity, pH and alkalinity. Of the biological i wathc diversity of each group of makrozoobentos and their abundance. I then compared the results with the values from the previous years, and assessed the gradual development of these aquatic communities.

Sousedský efekt mezi horním stromovým patrem a podrostem v horském smíšeném lese / Overstory-understory neighborhood effect in mountain mixed forest

Matouš, Marek January 2016 (has links)
The object of this study is to describe overstory-understory neighbourhood effects in natural mountain mixed forests in environmental conditions of central Europe. Namely, the neighbourhood effect of European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.), silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) and Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] Karst. ). The sample plots are situated in central Slovakia. On 60 plots, counts of individuals of these species were recorded and divided by social status (from 6 cm of DBH). Regeneration of these species, was divided into 4 high categories. For 30 trees of each species, regeneration was also counted under specific crown in the area of 4 m2. The data was evaluated mainly by the generalized linear model in R statistical program. Here was evaluated the relationship between individuals of different categories of understory and overstory and the dependence between counts of regeneration of each species under specific crown. The strongest positive overstory-understory neighbourhood effect, was observed for the silver fir in all categories of regeneration (p<0.001). It also weakly negatively affected the regeneration of beech. For spruce, the positive neighbourhood effect was demonstrated only among the trees of upper level and saplings from 0.5 to 1.3 meters. Other categories of spruce saplings, were in too small quantities for demonstrating these relationships. Positive overstory-understory neighbourhood effect of beech was weak, or neutral for advanced regeneration. But seedlings to 0,5 m height, were in minimum quantity under spruce and fir crown. Beech also significantly negatively influenced all regeneration categories of silver fir (p<0.001). So, for each species, the overstory-understory neighbourhood effect is more or less positive, at least for lower height regeneration categories. This effect suggest also to small scale species stability of these forests.

Caspar Lehmann: umělec na dvoře Rudolfa II. / Caspar Lehmann: an artist at the court of Rudolf II.

Minaříková, Adéla January 2017 (has links)
Caspar Lehmann is one of the most significant personalities of applied arts in central Europe at the end othe 16th and the beginning of 17th century. As an engraver of glass and precious stones he worked at the court of emperor Rudolf II. in Prague, but also at the court of the elector Christian II in Dresden. Considerable interest in his work was caused mainly by the claim of Joachim von Sandrart from 1675 stating that Caspar Lehmann was granted a privilege for glass engraving. Discovery of a signed beaker in late 19th century further sparked the existing interest in his production. Based on the similarities with the beaker, several other works were subsequently attributed to Lehmann, despite significant differences in quality and style of engraving. The present work summarizes Lehmanns life based on a thorough study of previous literature and archive materials. Main part of the work includes detailed analyses of 26 artifacts which were previously attributed to Lehmann. Based on their comparison it attempts to define a characteristic technique Lehmann used for carving, and subsequently to critically assess his authorship. The thorough comparisons of the existing objects suggest that three portrait pannels (Moritz von Oranien, Johann Sigismund von Brandenburg, and Johann Friedrich von Württemberg)...

Horský hotel v Jeseníkách / The mountain hotel in Jeseníky

Holub, Radim January 2013 (has links)
Design of timber structures of mountain hotel is performed. The building is slab-on-ground, three – storeyed, plan size axially 36×15 m. Total build up area is about 567 m2. It’s constructionally timber skeleton structure of modern construction that consist of supporting members and joists in several meter grid. Wall and floor frames, that provide object stability, consist of components of elementary frame structure. The roof of building is designed as plate girder in modul grid with lengthwise purlin.
