This thesis analyses the glacier fluctuations in New Zealand since late Pliocen until today (2017) and evaluates GLOFs (Glacier Lake Outburst Floods) hazards from all proglacial lakes of New Zealand. Background research of a wide range of scientific sources was used to describe New Zealand glacier fluctuations during the last ~2.6 Ma, uncover local climatic and tectonic specifics, describe uneven behaviour of different glacier types and summarise current knowledge about climatological forcings to New Zealand glaciers. Compared to the timing of glaciations in the Norther Hemisphere, an earlier onset of LGM (Last Glacial Maximum) and LIA (Little Ice Age) was recorded in New Zealand. A dramatic glacier advance of short- to medium-response time glaciers was recorded between 1983 and 1999. This advance was caused by changes of atmospheric and oceanic circulation patterns around New Zealand. A detailed study of the past events revealed that really few events were recorded in New Zealand history. While englacial outburst floods are relatively common from Franz Josef Glacier, no moraine dam rupture and only two GLOFs from a proglacial lake were recorded in New Zealand history. Primula elatior represents a promising model for addressing the role of phenotypic plasticity vs. genetic basis of traits in populations differentiated along altitudinal gradients. Phenotypic plasticity is mainly exhibited by the extensive variability of the leaves. Genetic structure of P. elatior populations has been poorly studied so far, the first insights suggested potentially large intraspecific genetic variation. Therefore, the first aim of this study was to reveal the genetic structure as well as morphological and cytological variation of P. elatior populations in the central Europe and compare those to another two intraspecific taxa from the southeastern Europe. Further, I selected three target mountain regions to address the role of altitudinal differentiation for structuring genetic diversity. Finally, I evaluated the status of the putative endemic species Primula elatior subsp. corcontica from the Krkonoše Mts. Microsatellite analyses, multivariate morphometrics and flow cytometry were employed to evaluate variation of P. elatior populations. I identified six major genetic groups by genotyping 12 nuclear microsatellite loci in the study area of central and southeastern Europe with the clear separation of subp. intricata. The thesis describes the horizontal and vertical structure of two permanent research plots with the developmental stages of the tree layer of native beech stands in NPR Broumov in the area CHKO Broumov nature reserve in the Sudetenland. The horizontal structure of the tree layer is random and in the developmental stages of natural regeneration. The average number of individuals natural recovery is around 15 100 individuals per hectare.

The aim of the thesis is to explain main aspects of the development and elaboration of a real project of mountain apartments on the level of a feasibility study. The thesis is divided up into two parts. Theoretical part describes individual stages of the development, involved entities and the procedure of obtaining building permit, which is all necessary for the implementation of the project. The emphasis is laid on funding, namely financial resources and tax optimalization. The second part deals with the develoment project itsef, which is the construction of weekend apartments in the mountains. The project aims at finding the right use of a specific piece of land, the concept of construction and its funding. Further on the thesis contains sensibility analysis, market and competion analysis and SWOT analysis and identification of main risks including their solution and possible preventive measures. The final part of the thesis focuses on evaluation of this project and its comparison with several competitive projects.

IN ENGLISH The work deals with the history of mountain bike in Vimpersko from 1989 to the present. Major cycling events, prominent racers, organizers and founders of a mountain bike section in Vimpersko should appear in the work. The main aim of this work is to investigate and record the arrival of a mountain bike in Vimpersko from 1989 to the present. Partial objectives include recording the main characters associated with the emergence of mountain bike races and a section in Vimperk and linking the topic with the history of cycling in the Czech Republic. The main method of work is the historical method enriched with interviews with the main actors of mountaine biking in Vimpersko.

Bc. Ji í Ondruš The Jesus' Beatitudes in the Context of the Gospel of Matthew Anotace v anglickém jazyce: The Jesus' Beatitudes cannot be understood as a completely isolated part of Jesus' teaching. Therefore, the knowledge of the whole gospel of Matthew is necessary for their understanding. In this thesis I compare the individual words contained in the Beatitudes with the same words in the Gospel of Matthew outside the Beatitudes. By this means I find the meaning of Jesus' message in the Beatitudes contained in the Gospel of Matthew. I also present and compare ancient Greek copies (the Sinai Code and the Vatican Code) and six most famous Czech translations of this Gospel. I also compare the exegesis of well-known biblical scholars, especially what they agree on, but also what they fundamentally differ on. An important part is also a synoptic comparison with the Beatitudes of the evangelist Luke. The aim of this thesis is to get as close as possible to the meaning of the specific section of Mt 5: 1-12, which represents the lifelong program of Jesus' followers, but also Jesus. Jesus introduces himself at the beginning of the mountain sermon. He speaks not only of how his disciples are supposed to be, but also of how he is.

The aim of the diploma thesis is sustainable tourism in the mountainous environment. Alpine habitats include a valuable natural environment where tourism can leave lasting effects. Research focuses on the operation of mountain chalets in the High Tatras and the influence of alpine tourism on the environment in terms of three pillars of sustainable development using qualitative methods, namely the triangulation method. This thesis The Comparison of the Traditional Material Transport in the Mountain Economy of the Krkonoše and Šumava Mountains introduces the traditional forms of material and goods transport in the Krkonoše Mountains (the Giant Mountains) and the Šumava Mountains (the Bohemian Forest). The way of life in the highland area of Giant Mountains was significantly affected by the Alpine colonization in the second half of the 16th century. The Alpine colonists brought knowledge of logging, mountain economy and transport equipment into the mountains. Inhabitants of the Giant Mountains used water power, skids, later sledge called "rohacky" for bundles of wood. They also used backpacks, textile "loktuse", baskets, wheeled means of transportation and animal skid for the transport of other goods and materials. The comparison shows that the Bohemian Forest unlike the Giant Mountains was populated by gradual colonization of woodmen from the surrounding regions. Various forms of traditional vehicles were applied in this area. Unlike the Giant Mountains there was increasingly developed timber transport on the canals and rivers. The thesis deals with ecophysiology of overwintering larvae of two butterfly genera, Colias and Erebia. It focuses on identification of supercooling point, survival of various low temperature regimes and composition of cryoprotective substances. Results are presented in the context of distributional limits of individual species, their habitat requirements and their potential endangerment due to environmental and habitat changes.

This dissertation is focused on analysing the potencial in production and distribution of chosen biocommodity in the less favoured areas of South Bohemian region. As the alternate aim was determined ecological rural tourism and its perspective as one of the possible ways of developing less favoured areas. The work highlights the distinctions of organic agriculture and its principles, shows organic activities as a way of possible developmnet of montane and submontane areas and detects potencial of growth of this branch for the future.
