Edward Elgar a jeho violoncellový koncert / Edward Elgar and his cello concerto

Lee, Moises January 2012 (has links)
The repertoire of soloistic for cello is far narrower than those of other concertante instruments. So we tend to think that we know well of all the regularly performed cello concertos, in which the Elgar Concerto is among them. However, besides the concerto itself and some populare songs, variations or marches, there is little knowledge about the and work of the composer. Moreover, we have to take into account the massive influence of Jacqueline deu Pré, whose very personal and passionate performance has become an almost absolute point of refernece, above the annotations of Elgar himself. My work aims to give a broader approach to Edward Elgar ande his cwork, and to give an interpretation proposal, after having consulted the composers´marks and recordings, and contrast it with the opinions of other prestigious cellist ( Han-Na Chang and Kazimierz Michalik).

Lidová hudební tradice na Lašsku / Folklore Music tradition in Lachia

Satinská, Tereza Joanna January 2013 (has links)
The thesis is a study that focuses on folklore songs and folklore music in the region of Lachia. It intends to describe Lachia from the etnographic point of view as well as from the perspective of the region known as small Lachia concentrating on the region of Frýdlantsko. The inseperable part of Lachia is its dialect that forms the nature of the spoken language and songs and it has a unique onomatopoeia. This the reason why a significant deal of attention is paid to the dialect in Lachia in this thesis. The main topic of the thesis is the study the folklore music in Lachia. It includes a detailed description of various types of Lachian songs, their uniqueness and puts them into connection with folklore dancing because folklore songs and dance comprise an undivided whole in Lachia. There exist many foklore bands, mostly cimbalom bands, in Lachia as well as in the neighboring Valachia and further in the Moravian Slovakia. The repertory of local bands consists mostly of lachian songs and the majority of bands accompany dancing and singing performances of folklore groups, apart from their usual art activities. The thesis shows that the main function of folklore bands is to preserve the folklore music tradition in Lachia. The irreplaceable role of folklore musicians is obvious in the chapters that describe the activities of bands. Chapters that monitor the families of musicians show the mucis continuity between generations and interconnections of families. The most attention is paid to the family of Kotek, thei band and mostly to the significant local musician, singer, teacher, collector and music publicist ? Mr. Štěpán Kotek.

Bas jako projev periodicity v hudbě / The Bass as a Manifestation of Periodicity in Music

Esterle, Vojtěch January 2013 (has links)
This paper defines the function of the bass as the basis of harmonic hierarchy at first. After that the different forms of the bass in particular periods of time are followed. Then the problem of suppressing a bass in avant-garde music of the 20th century is brought forward; its new comeback is found in the minimal and the spectral music. The thesis is based on the concept of the affinity of principles which are responsible for the harmonic and the rhythmic hierarchy; this is the reason why the bass function can emerge also in a form of the rhythmic pulsation.

Současná situace českých vydavatelství v alternativní a undergroundové hudbě / Current situation of czech publishing in alternative and underground music

Kovalová, Terezie January 2014 (has links)
This thesis engages the question of whether it is even possible to popularize or proclaim alternative or underground project. For the analysis, I chose five publishers, Minority records , Starcastic , Polí5 , Citysurfer and Quazidelict . Originally I wanted to work also include publishing a happening agency AM180 together with their festival Creepy Teepee, but despite my repeated attempts I failed to contact its founders. After some research, I estabilished, that this community does not want to be externally presented and resists any publicity in the mainstream media. Thesis is elaborated in an unconventional way, due to the absolute lack of information about all of these publishing companies, both in printed and online media, I decided to use form of a personal interview. Therefore I would also like to apologize for slang expression used by persons involved in these interviews. It illustrates the world which is discussed. In order to confront ideas, for all the interviews I used the very similar set of questions, that were altered depending on the specialization of the publisher.
