This master’s thesis with product design forks for handling logs as attachments for tractors Zetor Forterra the specified load capacity 1200 kg. The work is mainly focused on the design frame and fork clamps, the necessary calculations and ultimately strength check of designed structures. The work is also addressed in detail the linear hydraulic motor used for the rotational movement of the jaws, including the calculation of fork. Then there are the design calculations and stress analysis of journals. It also checked the stability of the machine. Stress analysis is performed for different load conditions and the jaw frame finite elements. As another part is making all the drawings.

Based on the analysis of these techniques, the thesis introduces design of the connection of the hydraulic circuit for the drive of the traveling traction wheels of the forging manipulator QKK 100 by ŽĎAS a.s. focusing on simplicity, trouble-free operation, efficiency, economy, change of speed and torque, and possibility of modification according to the current load.

It includes processing the selected design of the hydraulic puller with parameters: maximum pushing force 50 kN, speed of work movement 0,05 m.s-1. The analysis by using finite element method (FEM) is made. The next part of thesis includes the design of hydraulic circuit of puller. In the last part of thesis there is the design for replacement of hydraulic puller by mechanical systems.
