La légitimation d’une pop "indépendante" en France : The Divine Comedy d’après Les Inrockuptibles, une étude de cas / The Legitimation of “Independent” Pop in France : The Divine Comedy According to Les Inrockuptibles, a Case Study

Escoubet, Stéphane 10 December 2015 (has links)
The subject of this work falls into the broader context of a symbolic rise of rock in the French cultural landscape, comparable to the similar longstanding evolution of jazz. The French audience of so-called "independent" pop (or indie pop) has been found mainly within a population of students or young workers one might refer to as "educated", and who have aspired to distinguish themselves from the most common musical tastes. Still, the starting point of our concern is that of a gap between this cultural profile and the apparent triviality of the pop genre: has this audience’s fondness anything to do with legitimate dispositions (despite appearances) or, on the contrary, does it step away from the historical features of "legitimate culture"? This thesis attempts to provide answers through a joint case study of the magazine Les Inrockuptibles (one of the main legitimizing institutions of indie pop in France) and one of the British bands it had most contributed to promoting during the 1990s, The Divine Comedy. What this study ultimately reveals is a hybrid type of legitimacy, which holds both the fundamental values of the art world and the heterodox registers of competing legitimizing institutions. This study also investigates the relation between the representations thus associated with The Divine Comedy and the musical features of the opus, sketching a musicological approach of the musical work through its mediation.

Spelmotor och spellogik för androidspel / Game Engine and Game Logic for Android Game

Leissner, Lotta, Augustsson, Henrik January 2014 (has links)
This report concerns the development of the game engine and game logic that are used within the game Steam Tale, which during the development process was known as Project Steam Age, by the group StormBound. The game was developed targeting mobile devices, and within this report is included a short perspective on the history of mobile gaming. The game’s genre, JRPG, short for Japanese Role Playing Game, and peripheral concepts in regards to it are explained as well, and in relation to other genres and games available. The game was made for Android v2.3 and later and as such coded in Java. Amongst the difficulties encountered, as detailed within this report, were the task of ensuring that the game runs on a wide range of phone hardware, including aspects such as both with and without hardware-based graphical acceleration, varying amounts of storage space and CPU-cores, as well as differing screen sizes. Furthermore, at the creation of applications such as this one should consider resource handling, especially concerning graphics and sounds, a topic discussed in this report.

Postavení asijských rozvojových zemí v mezinárodním obchodě / Position of Asian developing countries in international trade

Nguyen Thi Minh, Nguyet January 2013 (has links)
Developing countries, and especially Asian are playing an increasingly larger role in international trade. The aim of this thesis is to examine the current status of Asian developing countries in world trade, to analyse the impact of involvement in international trade on their economy in the period since the eighties to today. The work will focus in detail on three selected countries: China, India and Vietnam. In order to meet the objectives of the work mainly used methods are analysis, comparison and induction. Research has been carried to the conclusion that the share of developing countries in international trade Asia continues steadily to grow, but is influenced by developments in the major economies and the main driving force is still China. Shares of other Asian developing countries on the world market are still relatively small. The fact is that international trade has helped these economies to reach positive developments. The results of this study allow readers to have a deeper look into the issue of Asian developing countries in international trade.

Role BRICS v koncepcích a realitě vnějších vztahů EU / Role of BRICS in the conceptions and reality of the external relations of the EU

Arnoldová, Barbora January 2012 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the role of BRICS in the conceptions and reality of the external relations of the EU. The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyse the mutual relations of the EU and BRICS, based on a comparison of the workings and factual bases of their relations and to deduce possibilities for further progress in their cooperation. The EU develops relations with BRICS countries mostly on a bilateral level. Since the announcement of their strategic partnerships, cooperation between them has grown rapidly. Because bilateral agreements don't reflect actual needs anymore, there are ongoing negotiations about their new form which should enable further deepening of their cooperation. The first chapter describes the position of BRICS countries in the external relations of the EU, the development of the legal-institutional framework of relations between the EU and individual countries and the objectives for further deepening of cooperation. The second chapter analyses trade, flows of foreign direct investments and other areas influencing the mutual relations between these entities. The third chapter offers possibilities for further development of cooperation between the EU and BRICS countries.
