PRÁVO NA INFORMACE O ŽIVOTNÍM PROSTŘEDÍ | 1 Right to information on the environment ABSTRACT The objective of this thesis is to outline a regulation of the right to environmental information. There are many various reasons for ensuring broad access to environmental information. Apart from necessity of open and transparent government and the general right to know condition of the environment people are living in, the access to environmental information is also recognised as one of the regulatory instruments of the environmental policy. The access to relevant information is a vital assumption for public participation in environmental protection activities, as only broad awareness of environmental matters can develop deeper understanding of the issue and influence the future behaviour and decisions of general public. The thesis is composed of four parts which are further divided into chapters and where appropriate also into subchapters. The first introductory part focuses on bases and reasons for legal regulation of the access to environmental information and contains of two chapters. This thesis deals with the issue of cyber security in enterprises. The main objective of this thesis is to compile a comprehensive overview of the issue of cyber security related to the Czech business entities. It is written in the context in Czech language and in less technical form. This thesis first identifies the current cyber threats, supported by examples of actual incidents. On the basis of the threats thesis defines the categories of business entities that are vulnerable to the threats, and with regard to the Czech legal system analyzes cybersecurity responsibilities. Above the legal obligations there are recommended measures and types of security tests that can check the level of cybersecurity. The output is also a methodological tool for better understanding of cyber security in companies which summarize acquired information and context in comprehensive tables. The expected contribution of this thesis is that summarized findings will serve to increase the level of IT security for Czech businesses.

This diploma thesis comprise description and comaparison of main international stock exchanges and their indexes, also Czech stock exchange, activities connected to trading on stock exchange, instruments used for trend setting, potency of statistical estimation of exchange rates and evaluation of available virtual trading in securities as an instrument for beginning investors.

Environmental labels and declarations as market oriented approach of environmental protection can lead to sustainable production and consumption through credible and verifiable labeling schemes. Ecolabel provides consumers information about environmental impacts of the product that they can include in their purchase decisions. The goal of this paper is to determine how companies evaluate effects resulting from use of one of the types of environmental labeling in the Czech Republic. Environmental labeling encompasses three types - ecolabeling (Type I), self-declared environmental claims (Type II) and Environmental product declaration (Type III). Main objective is the evaluation of environmental labels as a communication tool between company and consumer.

This diploma thesis discusses the problem of asymmetrically distributed information between economic agents who interact with each other. It describes the historical development of asymmetric information in economic theory. It mainly focuses on possible emergence of inefficiencies due to asymmetrically distributed information. It describes the model of adverse selection. The thesis also points out how it is possible to apply this model of adverse selection together with knowledge of contract theory to partly overcome these inefficiencies. The aim of the study is to show on concrete examples how to design optimal contract and how these optimal contract can minimize the impact of asymmetric information on economic efficiency.

This thesis concerns technologies useful for competitive intelligence purposes. Its structure follows the scheme of the competitive intelligence cycle. For every phase of this cycle applicable techniques are specified, and possibilities of their software support are reviewed. The basic technique is deconstruction of competitive intelligence process to its basic components, and searching and exploring methods which can be used within those components. That means, above all, evaluation of usable software. The aim of my thesis is to make readers acquainted with principles of competitive intelligence, bring together different methods of work, and introduce useful technologies including particular software products. This thesis should also be helpful in deciding about methods in case of planning competitive intelligence, and what advantages and disadvantages it brings.

The issue of capital market protection, especially from manipulation with financial instruments' prices and abuse of inside information, forms the content of this diploma thesis. After the legal introduction of market manipulation in EU directives and regulations, which gives manipulation relevant context, there follows the analysis of particular forms of manipulation, which can be used to influence prices of investment instruments. Then, analysis of impact of investment recommendation to selected stock prices (i.e. NWR, ERSTE and Telefónica O2), which are traded on Czech stock market RM-System, is performed. Final chapter of the thesis handles the analysis of some market manipulation and insider trading cases from the past, together with the discussion of impacts of stricter regulation of financial markets to their efficient functioning.

This thesis focuses on the interpretation of information on the state budget deficit of the Czech Republic and the national debt from 2000 to 2008. Explores ways of interpreting by official institutions, namely the Czech Statistical Office and The Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, then the interpretation of the representatives of political parties and last, journalists and analysts. This thesis aims to compare different interpretations of, the above mentioned entities, and refer to completely different interpretations of the same possibilities of quantitative data. Way of achieving the goals of this work is to analyze of published information on the state budget deficit of the Czech Statistical Office, and then to compar with the data used in their analysis of selected representatives of political parties, journalists and analysts. Contribution to the work of interpretations about the development of the state budget deficit is to highlight the fact that, despite the same initial quantitative data, the interpretation of different entities differs vastly. Another contribution of this work is to identify the causes of these differing interpretations, and enable them to defend the dubious interpretations.
