Varje plats tillför någon sorts känsla. Det finns olika, specifika egenskaper som skiljer dessa platser från varandra och skapar en viss typ av karaktär som representerar platsen. I staden är det en del av människors vardagliga liv där det ger en särskild mening till platser och påverkar hur var och en upplever sitt grannskap. Detta är något som vi refererar till platsens identitet. I vår studie analyserar vi en viss plats karaktär och identitettillsammans med hur den påverkar människor i dess omgivning. Vi undersöker vad för relation platsen har till människorna som använder den dagligen och vad för aktiviteter som äger rum på ytan. Platsen analyseras utifrån dess bakgrund och olika begrepp som hjälper oss att tydliggöra ytans karaktär och användning. För att kunna sammankoppla relationen mellan människan och platsen har vi valt att intervjua personer som använderytan dagligen tillsammans med dem som jobbar med omgestaltningen av platsen och dess utveckling. De intervjuer som har gjorts med personer som är ansvariga för platsens vision och gestaltning ska tydliggöra hur platsen kommer att förändras och för vem det är som förändringen görs. I slutet av studien kommer en diskussion resonera kring hur platsens funktion ser ut idag kontra hur det är planerat att den ska fungera i framtiden. Diskussionen ska lyfta fram det värden som människor har sammankopplat med platsen, hur dessa är viktiga och vad som kommer att ske med dem i framtidsplanen. / Each place adds some kind of feeling. There are different, specific attributes that separate these from each other and create a certain type of character that the site represents. In the city, it is part of people’s everyday life, giving a special meaning to places and influencing how everyone experiences their neighborhood. This is something we refer to the site’s identity. In our study we analyze a certain place of character and identity, together with how it affects people in its surroundings. We examine what relationship the site has with people who use it daily and what activities take place on its surface. The site is analyzed based on its background and various concepts that help us to clarify the nature and use of the area. In order to know the relationship between the individual and the site, we have chosen to interview people who use the area dailyalong with those who work in the formulation of the future plan and development of the site. The interviews that have been taken with persons responsible for the site’s vision and design will clarify how the site is going to change and for who it is that the change is beingmade. We conclude the study, a discussion will clarify how the function of the site looks today against how it is planned to work in the future. The discussion should also highlight the values that people have linked to the location, how these are important and what will happen to them in the future.
