Ve světle kabaly: Židovská mystika v polské literatuře meziválečného období. / In The Light of Kabbalah: Jewish Mistique in Polish Literature in The Interwar Period

Benešová, Michala January 2015 (has links)
Thesis In the Light of Kabbalah: Jewish Mystique in Polish Literature in the Interwar Period deals with different models of reflection of Jewish religious and mystical tradition in the Polish interwar literature (on the example of three authors representing different ways of perceiving their own Jewish roots as well as the processing of themes based on the tradition of Jewish mysticism). Aleksander Wat, originally a futurist, was critical of the Jewish religious tradition - but still cannot his own "Jewishness" escape; prose writer Bruno Schulz offers an unique vision of cosmogony and eschatology reminiscent of - besides other things - selected concepts of Kabbalah; Bolesław Leśmianʼs relationship to this tradition is the looses, but on the other hand his method of working with motives which can interpreted in the context of the Jewish religious tradition is very original. Literary work of all three - as the heirs to the "people of the Book" - is marked by a specific relationship to language and the written word. In addition to this theme we deal with e.g. the Golem motive, the idea of the creation of the world or the idea of God. These analytical chapters are preceded by a theoretical and methodological introduction based on the traditions of literary hermeneutics, but also on selected concepts of...

Ochranná známka a značka jako kulturní fenomén / Trda mark and Brand as a Cultural Phenomenon

Frischmann, Petr January 2014 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is the empirical-theoretical analysis of socio-cultural impact of cultural elements represented by trademarks and brands from the perspective of specific cultural complex. Combination of mentioned cultural elements is examined as participating in creation of relevant symbolic base for human communication in current globalized society having capacity to influence not only consumer decision making process but also general values and cultural patterns. Persuasiveness of this cultural complex is based on the particular cultural environment adapting permanently to its evolution. Brands and trademarks in this form are retrospectively affecting the social environment. High level of efficiency and speed of such processes are currently accelerated by technological development of communication tools supporting acculturation and globalization aspects. Although described processes and relationships are generated primarily in the sphere of consumer decision-making, their real impact on the social groups is significant being relevant element of shaping general social paradigm. Socio-cultural norms are examined as cultural elements playing special role in such processes granting protection to major values shared by social groups and protecting the individual private interest represented...

Litomyšlská kázání Jindřicha z Vildštejna / Sermons of Jindřich from Vildštejn in Litomyšl

Večeře, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
This thesis Sermons of Jindřich from Vildštejn in Litomyšl deals with the preaching work of the cleric Jindřich of Vildštejn, which is preserved in the manuscript of the Bavarian State Library in Munich (BSB, Clm 14256). In order to describe and evaluate this handwritten collection, the author chooses only a small probe (three of the total of thirteen preachers), in which in various ways he shows the form, context and socio-communicative purpose of the late medieval sermon. These three sermons were held in Litomyšl (1376 and 1378). Two of them are Eucharistic sermons and one is funeral speech on the occasion of the funeral of Charles IV. At the beginning of the whole work, the reader is introduced with the life of the historical personality of Jindřich of Vildštejn who was a member of the Minority Order and who held several episcopal offices throughout his life. In the second part, the author presents a description and classification of selected preaching texts. The third part of the thesis is an interpretative study in which the author tries to elucidate the contemporary communication significance of one important phenomenon of medieval preaching manuscripts such as the abundant use of quotes from the Bible and the authorities. At the very end of the work, the critical edition of three sermons...

Pouzarová, Patricie January 2008 (has links)
The target of the thesis Relation between Textual Devices and Popularity of Media Text on the Example of Radio Series "Tlučhořovi" is to reveal if there exist any connection between significant textual devices used in the series and its popularity and success. As methods there are used semiotic analysis of sample of the series episodes and "respondent interview" with the listeners. In the first there is focus mainly on particular textual devices and in the second on what respondents consider to be reasons why they do listen to the series. Significant textual devices are one of the central themes of cultural studies and this work sets itself a task to deduce from findings conclusion which would be generalizable to relation between media texts and their audiences universally.

Pojem palimpsestu a jeho uplatnění ve zkoumání textu urbánního prostoru / The Term of Palimpsest and its Application in Examining of the Urban Space

Šilhavý, Petr January 2015 (has links)
This thesis called The Term of Palimpsest and its Application in Examining of the Urban Space focuses on providing a more complex perspective of the analysis of urban space through the metaphor of text and also palimpsest. Thanks to the disintegration of the concept of the text multiple layers of reality began to be progressively viewed - from the literature to the culture text. This opens up the possibility to contemplate the city as well as another type of text, respectively in a metaphorical sense of intertextuality as so-called palimpsest. The work focuses on these terms in the theoretical part and suggests the urban space term and the possibility of examination. The empirical part is dedicated to the application of developer theoretical basis onto the site-specific urban space of the Prague's Peter's district. The anchoring of the palimpsest in the semiosphere of culture and cultural texts of historical depth but does not provide possibilities of complete renovation and securing the continuity of interpretation. This does not seem to be an obstacle for the set more complex view of palimpsest, on contrary it better reflects and deals with such this continuity. It helps to seek roots and identity of cities and their inhabitants.

Černá, Lucie January 2018 (has links)

Using description and explanation, I examine the influence of mystification, fictional worlds, intertextuality, and special effects of the theater comicality up on its success and unwavering popularity among the audience. For this purpose, I work with audiovisual recordings and the book release of all theater plays by the Jára Cimrman Theater. In terms of theoretical research, I use bibliographic resources, among which are texts, articles, studies and publications by Lubomír Doležel, Umberto Eco and other authors whose works are relevant to the topic of my diploma thesis. In the diploma thesis I present an interpretation of theoretical knowledge, opinions, comments and reflections related to the chosen topic. The topic is a subject of broad professional discourse and is theoretically so complex that this diploma thesis cannot contain all the issues and contexts that apply to it. In this regard, I have tried to outline at least some of them and on their basis to elaborate the theme of this diploma thesis.

Nošení ozdoby jako performativní akt / Wearing Jewerly as a Performative Act

Stündlová, Barbora January 2018 (has links)
The concept or phenomenon od performativity occurs in different forms or terms in many humanity studies, especially in the second half of the 20th century. It interferes with linguistics, philosophy of thought, narratology, gender and cultural studies and even with epistemology and ethics. The notion of performativity appeared in philosophy and linguistics for the first time along with J. L. Austin's speech and perfomative acts. The first one describes the situation, the second one generates the situation. J. Derrida pointed out that the realization of speech acts and communication are not so obvious and depend on performance that maintains their status and identity. J. Derrida furthermore shows that performance does not only appear in the literary field; the law is for example performative in the sense that it sets itself up by a speech act. M. Foucault was interested of the role of performativity within a socially organized body and subjectivity. The performance of language and discourse is also essential in J. Butler's work which follows M. Foucault or J. Derrida and describes mechanisms for establishing gender subjectivity and physicality. She claims that the body is created simultaneously by the linguistic naming which it decribes. Butler writes up the process of gender differentiaton as...

Palimpsest a intertextualita v antropologicko-etnologické analýze městského prostoru / The term of Palimpsest and Intertextuality in the Antropological-ethnological analysis of urban space

Ondrák, Vít January 2021 (has links)
The thesis called The term of Palimpsest and Intertextuality in the Antropological- ethnological analysis of urban space focuses on examination of urban space from the point of view of the metaphorical conception of the term text, intertext and palimpsest. By extending the meaning of the term text from the original concept in literary science to broader layers of reality, it is possible to apply it to urban space, and then read it as an urban text. Due to the fact that the urban environment consists of many layers, it becomes an interesting solution for its complex grasp to use the term palimpsest and intertext. The first theoretical part aims to explain these concepts. The second theoretical part deals with anthropological and ethnological approaches to urban space, while the perspective of the individual who walks through the city and lets it affect becomes essential for this walker. The content of the third, applied part is then the specific space of the Nuselské údolí (Nusle valley) and its immediate surroundings, within which the individual becomes a player in the game between space and his perception. The individual layers of the environment are examined from the perspective of concepts and anthropological-ethnological approaches, which, however, do not provide a complete and exhaustive...
