The main theme of the thesis is the acquisition of French language in language courses in French-Czech club in Kladno. The thesis is divided into three principal parts. In the initial one we present the institution of French-Czech club in Kladno. In addition we mention also the partnership between Kladno city and Vitry-sur-Seine in France. The main aim of the thesis are the French language courses organized by the French- Czech club in Kladno. We deal with every single course in the club, we mention the visitors of this courses and also the motivation of these students. But the thesis concern the most the caracteristics of textbooks and workbooks used in the process of teaching French in French- Czech club in Kladno. In the courses, there are two types of textbook used in the French language courses - Czech-written and French-written textbooks. Between Czech-written textbooks, we mention ON Y VA! 1. (J. Taišlová; 2007), that is based on the structural-notional compromise combined with the situational principle. Collocations are groups of words which are co-occurring more often than appearing separately. They also include phrases that give a new meaning to a group of unrelated words. This thesis is aimed to find collocations in large data and to create a database that allows their retrieval. The Pointwise Mutual Information, a value based on word frequency, is computed for finding the collocations. Words with the highest value of PMI are considered candidates for good collocations. Chosen collocations are stored in a database in a format that allows searching with Apache Lucene. A part of the thesis is to create a Web user interface as a quick and easy way to search collocations. If this service is fast enough and the collocations are good, translators will be able to use it for finding proper equivalents in the target language. The diploma thesis "Interpersonal Multiple Intelligence and Its Development in B2 English Lessons" focuses on Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences with special emphasis on interpersonal multiple intelligence. The thesis consists of two main sections: theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part introduces the concept of intelligence, the theory of multiple intelligences and interpersonal intelligence. The practical part introduces the research that investigates whether, how and to what extent interpersonal intelligence is developed in B2 English lessons. It consists of two parts: the main part discusses the content analysis of two course books and the second part of the research - the questionnaire - complements findings of the content analysis.

This thesis is focused on the linguistic and didactic interpretation of translation. Its objective is to introduce the reader to the issues of language-focused findings, which are reflected in translators' work and besides, to describe the situation of didactic contribution of translation in second language teaching. The work is divided ino two main parts. In the first one, there is translators' work and his competences being presented on the ground of chosen linguistic theories. These are further extended by a practical part of description and analysis of translation methods. The whole thesis is being closed by the second part which mediates the didactic point of view of the given issue. The basic overview facts of actual situation of the use of translation in modern language classes are summarized in here.

This thesis deals with the use of non-verbal communication in the communicative approach when teaching Czech as a foreign language. It focuses on a nonverbal communication and main approaches to the communicative approach in teaching Czech as a foreign language. In its last part, this thesis compares results of previous research of nonverbal communication in the teaching process in a primary and secondary level and analyses of recordings of the lessons of Czech for foreigners. Usage of a video at real-time Czech lessons (not distantly through YouTube) presents to students a very attractive way of learning a language and the socio- cultural competence quickly and entertainingly. The aim of this paper is to sum up findings of the specialized literature and to create special videos useable in foreign language classes of A0/A1 level based on those findings. The videos will be focused on development of sociocultural competence, the themes shall be following: 1.Lesson of the good manners in the Czech environment part 1. (formal X informal language) 2. Holidays ( Christmas, Easter ) The empiric part of this thesis will be based on the hypothesis that using video in the classroom will make the acquisition of the sociocultural competence easier. The video materials will be shown in a couple of groups of student at the A0/A1 level while couple of group of other student will study without them. The present thesis tries to approach the issue of foreign language acquisition and foreign language didactics approaches. The main theme of the work is socio-cultural competence in teaching Czech for foreigners. It also states the issue in a broader context. Following is a detailed analysis of that term and its definition in a social frame of reference levels for Czech A1. The main part comprises of individually assessed five selected textbooks of Czech for foreigners. The analysis is carried out based on own criteria which have been determined in accordance with the required components of the socio-cultural competencies according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and J. Průcha methodologies. In the final part of the thesis is made mutual comparison of books with regard to the extent of helping to deepen and develop the student's knowledge in terms of socio-cultural competence. MASTER THESIS TITLE: Didactic principles of John Amos Comenius and their application in today's teaching of German language AUTHOR: Stanislava Černá DEPARTMENT: Department of Germanics SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Dagmar Švermová This master thesis is focused on the personality of meaningful Czech thinker J. A. Comenius and his didactical principles, many of which are nowadays still relevant. The most emphasized principles are activity, motivation and student's perception with the use of all senses. The last mentioned principle can be ensured by the activity-oriented teaching; student can be motivated and exacerbated by problem-oriented or project teaching. Theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the definition of principles, understanding of the activity principle before and today, its use in the foreign language teaching and the definition of aims and key competencies. Following practical part describes realization of two projects where was validated that inclusion of projects into German language teaching is suitable motivating and exacerbating means in case the aims and methods are selected appropriately. The thesis is focused on teaching students with learning disabilities in the first level of primary school, especially for teaching English to these children. Further, I will focus mainly on finding and verification of teaching methods to be used when teaching English to these students.

The graduation thesis deals with the issue of balance disorders due to a cerebellar damage. It deals in detail with the treatment of patients suffering from degenerative cerebellar ataxia and with the use of biofeedback technologies as means of postural stability treatment. The aim of practical part of this work was to investigate the effectiveness of therapy using biofeedback for patients suffering from progressive ataxia due to cerebellar neurodegeneration. The research sample consisted of 8 patients. The patients underwent a total of 18 therapy sessions within a twelve-day rehabilitative program. The therapy contained a training of stability in various positions with the elimination of visual control. A device provided an additive information about head sways for the patients via a tongue electrotactile stimulation. The effects were assessed by means of posturography, functional clinical tests (BESTest, Dynamic Gait Index) and questionnaires (Activities-specific Balance Confidence Scale, Dizziness Handicap Inventory). Three assessments were performed: immediately before, immediately after, and 30 days after the rehabilitative program.
