Problem of the Arrangement for two Pianos of Sedlak by Jindr. Jindrich and Prelude, op. 34, no. 5, by Dmitri Shostakovich

Entriken, Rebecca Love 08 1900 (has links)
This study was prompted by the writer's interest and experience in the field of two-piano performance. At the beginning of this writer's two-piano work the available material was scarce, and much of it was inadequate in quality from the standpoint of both composition and arrangement. It seems strange that this particular form of chamber music, so delightful to play and so enjoyable to listen to, did not completely take popular fancy until the twentieth century. During the past ten years however, teachers are realizing the benefits derived from training students in two-piano playing. There is no doubt in the writer's opinion that two-piano concerts will henceforth always be in demand.

Navrátil, Petr January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of the study is to analyse and to compare the reign of two rulers of Francia Orientalis - Henry II and Henry III. Methods used in this study are analysis and comparison. The study is composed of six chapters, each of them dealing with different aspect of the legitimization of kingship. Chapter One is introductory and defines basic terminology used in the study. Chapter Two examines relevant specialized discursus. Litomyšlská kázání Jindřicha z Vildštejna / Sermons of Jindřich from Vildštejn in Litomyšl

Večeře, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
This thesis Sermons of Jindřich from Vildštejn in Litomyšl deals with the preaching work of the cleric Jindřich of Vildštejn, which is preserved in the manuscript of the Bavarian State Library in Munich (BSB, Clm 14256). In order to describe and evaluate this handwritten collection, the author chooses only a small probe (three of the total of thirteen preachers), in which in various ways he shows the form, context and socio-communicative purpose of the late medieval sermon. These three sermons were held in Litomyšl (1376 and 1378). Two of them are Eucharistic sermons and one is funeral speech on the occasion of the funeral of Charles IV. At the beginning of the whole work, the reader is introduced with the life of the historical personality of Jindřich of Vildštejn who was a member of the Minority Order and who held several episcopal offices throughout his life. In the second part, the author presents a description and classification of selected preaching texts. The third part of the thesis is an interpretative study in which the author tries to elucidate the contemporary communication significance of one important phenomenon of medieval preaching manuscripts such as the abundant use of quotes from the Bible and the authorities. At the very end of the work, the critical edition of three sermons...

Jindřich Feld : Analysis of Concert Piece For Accordion

Řehák, Milan January 2017 (has links)
This thesis intends to illustrate the music language presented in Jindřich Feld’s compositions for accordion. Jindřich Feld (1925-2007) was a very important Czech composer of the second half of the 20th century. As the best example of this music language, I have chosen his “Concert Piece For Accordion” which is certainly one of the most respected accordion compositions ever written. I have always appreciated the music of Jindřich Feld, which is the reason why I decided to write about him and his composition. In this thesis, I focused mainly on an insight into the form and style of “Concert Piece”. Most of my comments and analyses come from my personal experience and from my perspective as an interpreter. This composition, most likely, has not been performed in Sweden before, or it is not well-know at least. I hope that my thesis will help other accordionists and musicians to understand Feld’s music, and contribute to better and more frequent performances of his accordion music.

JINDROVÁ, Jana January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis is based on the bachelor thesis Chodské nářečí ve třech generacích. It expands on the topic of the "chod" dialect from the works of Jindřich Šimon Baar aswell as contemporary authors. The basis of this work is formed by a comparison of the current spoken form of the dialect with the dialect's version from the 1950s and comparison of the dialect stylization in Baar's books with todays stylization. The aim is to examine the evolution of the "chod" dialect's stylization and spoken form. This thesis is based on the hypothesis of a slowly disappearing dialect in all aspects and searches for evidence of this occurrence. Basis for the theoretical part are findings about Jindřich Šimon Baar, his life and his work. Furthermore the current knowledge about dialects with a focus on the southwestern dialect "chod". No less important is the part examining text stylization. The practical part is based on the language analysis of Baar's books partly written in a dialect in comparison with books of contemporary authors. And also comparison of audio recordings of the dialect with recordings from the archive of Jindřich Jindřich.

Razim, Jakub January 2014 (has links)
BOHEMIA, CARINTHIA AND TYROL UNDER THE RULE OF HENRY OF CARINTHIA (JAKUB RAZIM) ABSTRACT The aim of this dissertation is to describe the governing practice (Herrschaftspraxis) of Henry of Carinthia in Bohemia, Carinthia and, subsequently, especially in the Tyrol, in whose southern parts the power base of the Menhart dynasty was situated. The first group consists of Tyrolean chancery registers (Tiroler Kanzleiregister) and accounts books (Tiroler Rechnungsbücher, alternatively Raitbücher), the second of Austrian court poetry. Following the initial introduction of the sources, bibliography and methodology used for dealing with this particular topic, the consensual context is introduced, within which the rule of Henry of Carinthia was conducted, ranging from informal consultations to deliberations of the royal council. A list of counsellors, along with short biographical sketches, is included. The third and the fourth chapters consider the role played by...
