This diploma thesis is addressing the issue of elementary schools in Jindřichův Hradec region. This administrative region consists of 3 smaller districts - Třeboň, Jindřichův Hradec and Dačice. Goals of this diploma thesis are to map, to describe and to find solution for actual issues in elementary schools in choosed region. Diploma thesis maps localization of elementary schools and catchment regions, territorial distribution of schoolchildren and existence of school buses and trains in area. All data was processed into tables and maps.

My thesis deals with the history of the Evangelicals in Jindřichův Hradec from the time of the issue of the Patent of Toleration to the establishment of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. The first chapter deals with the situation in Jindřichův Hradec just after the issue of the Patent of Toleration. The following chapters survey the origination and development of individual congregations and preaching stations. The aim of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with the development of evangelical religiosity in Jindřichův Hradec between 1781-1918. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze how the town of Jindrichuv Hradec has used the European Union's financial resources during the program period 2007-2013. The thesis is divided into three parts, i.e. theoretical and practical part, and part of evaluation of outcomes of the thesis. The first goal of the thesis is a description of projects realized by the town of Jindrichuv Hradec, and funded by the European Structural and Investment Funds. These projects are compared to the strategic document of development of the town of Jindrichuv Hradec. The last part of the thesis fulfills its goals by giving recommendations for further development of the town of Jindrichuv Hradec.

The theme of this master thesis is History of the hospital of St. John the Babtist in Jindřichův Hradec in the early Modern Age. This thesis is focused on the first period of its functioning. The first chapter shortly describes a bibliography of this theme published in the Czech Republic and a German bibliography. Next two chapters introduce materials survived in the fund Ústav chudých u sv. Jana Křtitele v Jindřichově Hradci and history of charitable institutions functioned in Jindřichův Hradec since the middle of 13th century. Some of them became the base of the hospital of St. John the Babtist. The chapter about the hospital of St. John the Babtist is focused on its own history. This chapter introduces property and financial base, an inner organisation and a daily course of this hospital based on founding documents, instruction and on other archive materials.

The presented diploma thesis is dealing with the life of Katerina Hradecká of Montfort, noble foreigner, married to Adam II. of Hradec. The author is using older as well as more recent literature, written, tangible and iconographic sources to analyze, based on historical-anthropological methods, transformation of the inner world of the noblewoman. She is firstly introduced as a maid of honor in the hofstadt of archduchess Maria of Bavaria in Graz. Author also looks into her marriage to Adam II. of Hradec, investigating it within political and religious context of that period, as it was associated with the connections of the lords of Hradec to the House of Habsburg. Author also pays attention to the noblewoman as a wife, a mother, a Jesuit confidant, a widow and a strict catholic, that had a substantial influence on the social life of Hradec and its surroundings due to her religious views. Author does not omit the tangible cultural aspects connected with the activities of Katerina Hradecka of Montfort and her impact on the ecclesiastical and secular architecture in Jindřichův Hradec.

The main goal of the thesis was to compare a potential of rural tourism at two villages in Jindřichohradecko, one is located in a protected landscape area and the other is outside of this region. This task is intended to show the potential, which is affected by different conditions in protections of nature. The theoretical part of this work is not only focused on the rural tourism through a literature review, its forms, evaluation of its potential and benefits as well but also negatives of its development. The practical part assesses the potential of Jindřichohradecko for activities of the rural tourism and particularly analyzes in detail the situation in a village Pístina (lying in the PLA) and Zahrádky by using a descriptive case study, which is situated outside of the area with an enhanced protection of the nature. The thesis includes a questionnaire survey, whose results present an opinion of citizens of the villages on the rural tourism in their villages.

The Diploma thesis is primarily focused od religious education and church traditions kept at the Jindřichův Hradec grammar school between 1868 and 1914, during the rule od Habsburg monarchy, from separation od school to Czech and German, until the beginning of World War I.

Theoretical part of my graduation work is focused on defining terms of a mentally ill client, mental retardation, activities of clients with mental retardation and leisure time at the Centre of Accomodation and Outpatient Social Services Bobelovka. Research is divided into two parts: a quantity part with a questionnaire used for collecting data from the staff of the Centre, and the other questionnaire for the management of the Centre. In a quality research was used an interview with the clients´parents and the clients. The aim of this work was to map and evaluate activities of the clients at the Centre of Accomodation and Outpatient Social Services Bobelovka Jindřichův Hradec (Aim 1), finding out parents opinions on the clients´ activities at this Centre (Aim 2), and upon the findings to describe and evaluate the present status of activities at the Centre (Aim 3). All the aims were fulfilled. For the quantity research were determined two hypotheses in advance. The First Hypothesis, that the offer of activities at the Centre Bobelovka does not cover entire concern of the clients, was not affirmed. The Second Hypothesis, that the management of the Centre considers activities of the clients to be adequate and of a good quality, was affirmed. Upon the quality research were determined hypotheses III and IV. The Third Hypothesis states the clients´parents´satisfaction with the activities offered by the Centre Bobelovka. The Fourth Hypothesis states the clients´satisfaction with the activities at the Centre.

The work deals with the origins of development of education in the town of Jindřichův Hradec (Neuhaus, Nova Domus). It briefly describes the history of the city, and it mentions the development of the school system in Bohemia. The study follows the development of educational facilities in Jindřichův Hradec from its beginnings in the Middle Ages up to the climax in the form of the University. The greatest attention is paid to the local pride of education - "grammar school" with its more than four hundred-year-old history - while trying not to miss any of the schools that arose in the town over the centuries. The study demonstrates the importance of Jindřichův Hradec as the school centre of more than regional significance.

This Master´s thesis deals with the impact of legislative changes in the realm of lotteries on the funding of sports by municipalities. This issue is explored in the practical part and the town of Jindřichův Hradec was used as an example. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the system of the funding of sports. Also, the thesis compares and contrasts the legislative state of the Act No 202/1990 Coll. of lotteries and similar games before and after its amendment which came into force on 1st January 2012. Finally, the thesis describes and assesses the support of sport clubs and sport associations by the town of Jindřichův Hradec, including practical calculations of the effects the law amendment had on the local handball club and its financial resources. It was found out that, in comparison with similar-scale cities, the town of Jindřichův Hradec provided above-average financial resources into the field of sport. The comparison of subsidy rules revealed that the new subsidy program presents the improvement, especially with the following aspects. First, there is the introduction of the preferred sport clubs institution. Second, there is the cancellation of the initial division into categories. Third, there is the establishment of the independence of the grant committee members. After an initial hesitation, the town approached the division of the money gained from lotteries very transparently and it usually tied up the allocation of the revenues to a current subsidy system. As far as the local handball club is concerned, there was palpable a positive change between the periods before and after the amendment.
