The purpose of this study is to determine the pupil load in relationship to the amount of equipment available for use in industrial arts classes in the junior high schools of Texas.

This thesis involves an investigation of the trees in McLennan County that were suitable for wood sculpture, or wood carving, giving special attention to the wood that could be used for wood sculpture projects in the junior-high-school art program.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the recreational program of certain junior high schools in the Texas Panhandle to determine the extent to which they meet accepted criteria for this type of program.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of two methods of teaching the social studies to junior high school pupils. The purpose of this study is to present a comparison between recommendations made by authorities in the field of music education regarding the music curriculum in the elementary and junior high schools and the music curricula currently in existence, based on the tabulated results of a questionnaire sent to various school systems in Texas.

The purpose of this study is to determine to what extent related information is being taught in the junior high school woodwork classes of Texas. The study will attempt to answer such questions as follows: Do the industrial arts teachers believe in teaching related information? If they teach related information, do they examine the students on it, and if so, to what extent does the related material affect the final grade? Approximately what part of the class period is recommended as the proper amount of time to devote to related information? Is there a shop library available to the students? Do the teachers require the students to have a textbook or workbook for each of the industrial arts courses they teach?

The purposes of this study are: (1) to make an investigation of the home-room programs of the junior high schools in Wichita Falls, Texas, to discover what social guidance, if any, is offered to students; (2) to set up criteria for evaluating a social guidance program in a junior high school; and (3) to evaluate the social guidance programs of the home rooms in the junior high schools in Wichita Falls, Texas, in terms of the criteria set up for evaluation.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and compare a selection of books that can be used in the teaching of music appreciation in the junior high school and the high school.

The problem in this study is to show the possible relationship between improved physical skills and the total adjustment of boys at the junior high school level. A limited number of boys selected from the seventh and eighth grades who were without adequate physical skills were given special assistance for improving such skills, and a record was kept of the procedure and possible results of this instructional program.

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the girls' physical education programs in the junior and senior high schools in the Fort Worth Public Schools and to determine to what extent these programs insure the complete development of the girl, physically, mentally and socially in the two school levels.
