Spektrální vlastnosti bazilární membrány v kochley vnitřního ucha / Spectral properties of basilar membrane in the cochlea of the inner ear

Jozíf, Lukáš January 2011 (has links)
This thesis aims to verify the function of the cochlea as a spectrum analyzer based on computational modeling of macro-mechanics of the cochlea using FEM. I aim to identify the spectrum of the basilar membrane, which is dependent on the variability of geometry, material characteristics and the presence of liquid environments. Interactions between liquid and solid phases is described by fluid-structure interaction in the system ANSYS. The model is linear and does not pursue an active policy of metabolic processes. Further the work focuses on the decomposition of the sound and check of two best known hypotheses about the transmission frequency of the sound to the brain.

Detekce a rozpoznání maticového kódu v reálném čase / Detection and Recognition of Matrix Code in Real Time

Dobrovolný, Martin January 2012 (has links)
This work is dealing with detecting and recongnizing matrix codes. It is experimenting use of PCLines algorithm. PCLines is using Hough transform and parallel coordinates for fast detection of lines. Suggested algorithm with double use PCLines detects sets of parallels and problem with image distorted by with parallel projection is solved by cross-ratio equation. We did some optimizations for realtime running and created experimental implementation. Test results shows, that use PCLines one way to detect matrix codes.

Evoluce genetického kódu a taxonomie oxymonád / Evolution of the genetic code and classification of oxymonads

Šrámová, Eliška January 2012 (has links)
Oxymonads are a group of heterotrophic flagellates living in low oxygen environment. These protists inhabit mainly the gut of xylophagous insects (cockroaches, termites), with an exception of the genus Monocercomonoides, which was described from the intestinal contents of many vertebrates. On the basis of molecular data, Oxymonadida are classified into the supergroup Excavata (Cavalier-Smith, 2002; Simpson et al., 2006, Hampl et al. 2009). This thesis was focused on the diversity of genus Monocecomonoides from the morphologically simplest family Polymastigidae. The main goal of our work was to gather sequence data from strains isolated from a wide spectrum of hosts. We have obtained 26 partial sequences of the gene for the SSU rDNA in total, of which two belonged to another oxymonad, apparently genus Oxymonas. Our phylogenetic analysis indicated that the representatives of the genus Monocercomonoides form one group, however with a low bootstrap support. On the basis of published data about the presence of non-canonical genetic code in some oxymonads (Keeling and Leander, 2003; de Koning et al., 2008), we decided to explore this rare phenomenon in representatives of the genus Monocercomonoides. For this part of the study we gathered 9 partial sequences of α-tubulin gene. In these sequences we have not...

Kerdockovy kódy a okolí / Kerdockovy kódy a okolí

Teplá, Kateřina January 2012 (has links)
Title: Kerdock codes and around Author: Kateřina Teplá Department: Department of algebra Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Aleš Drápal, CSc., DSc., Department of algebra Abstract: Kerdock codes form a family of nonlinear codes, that contains more codewords than any known linear code with the same parameters. The main goal of this thesis is a connection of Kerdock codes with other areas of mathematics, mainly orthogonal geometry, combinatorics and cryptogra- phy. It describes theory of symplectic and quadratic forms on vector spaces of characteristic 2 and its relationship to Kerdock codes. Then it is pro- ven, that codewords of Kerdock code of constant weight form combinatorial 3-design. Finally usage of Kerdock codes in construction of Boolean bent functions and t-resilient functions, that are basis of many cryptographic pri- mitives, is analysed. Keywords: Kerdock code, Kerdock set, t-design, resilient function 1

Geometrické a algebraické vlastnosti diskrétních struktur / Geometric and algebraic properties of discrete structures

Rytíř, Pavel January 2013 (has links)
In the thesis we study two dimensional simplicial complexes and linear codes. We say that a linear code C over a field F is triangular representable if there exists a two dimensional simplicial complex ∆ such that C is a punctured code of the kernel ker ∆ of the incidence matrix of ∆ over F and dim C = dim ker ∆. We call this simplicial complex a geometric representation of C. We show that every linear code C over a primefield is triangular representable. In the case of finite primefields we construct a geometric representation such that the weight enumerator of C is obtained by a simple formula from the weight enumerator of the cycle space of ∆. Thus the geometric representation of C carries its weight enumerator. Our motivation comes from the theory of Pfaffian orientations of graphs which provides a polynomial algorithm for weight enumerator of the cut space of a graph of bounded genus. This algorithm uses geometric properties of an embedding of the graph into an orientable Riemann surface. Viewing the cut space of a graph as a linear code, the graph is thus a useful geometric representation of this linear code. We study embeddability of the geometric representations into Euclidean spaces. We show that every binary linear code has a geometric representation that can be embed- ded into R4 . We characterize...

Příprava výukového materiálu pro tvorbu GUI v MATLABu / Preparation of educational material for developing of GUI in MATLAB

ŠIMEK, Jakub January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to create an educational material for creating graphical user interfaces in MATLAB. The reader will learn the basic procedures of the GUI creation, get to know the various graphic objects and learn about the GUIDE environment, which is intended for the actual application development. Text is supplemented by practical examples of source code fragments as much as possible. All material is accompanied by two functional sample applications with their source code.

Implementace logistických technologií v potravinářském průmyslu / Implementation of logistic technologies in food processing industry.

VIGH, Ladislav January 2012 (has links)
Main goal of graduation theses is analysis possibilities to use logistic technologies in food company Fontea. This analysis is focused on material and informative flows in her logistic chain including analysis of key factors. These factors are important for implementation of chosen technologies. Subsequently were analyzed customer department, sales department, production department, purchasing department and shipping department. There were found several principal problems. Customer department staffs have a problem with finding actual quantity of manufactured finished goods, because up-dating of computer system is provided only once a day. Most of orders are inserted manually in computer system. Staffs are not able to find out charges of manufactured finished goods. Similar problems were discovered also in the next departments. To fix the problem were suggested implementation of Quick Response and automatic identification of barcodes and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).

Výskyt a charakterizace sekundárních struktur u nových proteinových sekvencí (never born proteins) / Never Born Proteins: Occurence and characterization of secondary structure motifs

Treťjačenko, Vjačeslav January 2015 (has links)
An experimental study on randomly generated protein sequences can provide important insights into the origin and mechanism of secondary structure formation and protein folding. In this study we bring biophysical characterization of five protein sequences selected from the in silico generated library of random chains. The sequences were selected on the basis of bioinformatic analysis in order to find the candidates with the maximum potential to possess secondary structure. This study shows that the random polypeptide sequences form stable secondary structures and in some show the signs of tertiary structure, such as hydrophobic core formation and distinctive oligomerization pattern. While the work presented in this thesis is work in progress on a larger study, the data already demonstrate that unevolved protein sequence space provides a lot of potential for secondary and tertiary structure formation that awaits its characterization.
