My diploma thesis deals with the question whether is good or not to have more children. The first chapter describes historical evolution of family, its changes and tasks in different historical periods. It also focuses on the value and position of a child in families. The second chapter focuses on the position of families with more children at the time after velvet revolution in the Czech Republic. It deals with actual demographical situation, economic conditions of families with more children and with official state methods of support of families. The third chapter is focused on motivation to parenthood, value of a child and on relationships in families with more children. The fourth chapter presents marriage, parenthood and families with more children from the catholic point of view. The thesis highlights the need of protection of the values that the family means to our society.

The dissertation aims to highlight Lactantius´s position among other authors of Christian antiquity and tries to analyze and assess Lactantius´s views pertaining to selected theological topics. First two chapters summarize available findings on Lactantius´s life and integrate his work into the context of early Christian literature. The following part of the dissertation discusses Lactantius´s apologetic method as well as his ideological points of departure and pays attention to his relation toward ancient culture. The focal point of the dissertation lies in the assessment of Lactantius´s views of selected theological issues, such as the teaching about a sole God, teaching about creation, Christology, soteriology, ecclesiology, eschatology, and anthropology. The dissertation espacially looks into overlapping of ancient and Christian world of ideas as they are mirrored in Lactantius´s theological considerations.

The Diploma Thesis "Ethical aspects of work as a long-term human commitment" deals with the question under what condition the work assigned as the external obligation can be understood as the personal responsibility. The Thesis deals with the dilemma between commitment and responsibility, the purpose of work as a commitment from the Christian and philosophical point of view. It describes and analyzes the variety of meaning and forms by which a person's work can be personaly commited, further defines the criteria for such binding, including Christian and philosophical bases. The Thesis connects the general socio- ethical argumentation with the reflection of the author's practical experience from the metallurgical industry in the Ostrava region. On concrete examples, it shows the current ethical issues associated with understanding the assigned work as a personally responsible commitment and proposes solutions to them in accordance with Christian principles. The thesis follows one of the supporting characters from the New Testament, James, the brother of the Lord. The first chapter deals with the meaning and occurrence of the name James in both biblical and non-biblical sources. The following second chapter deals with the canonical biblical texts that depict fragments of James' life. However, many questions remain about the closer characterization of our wanted person James and the form of his earthly family. The thesis also examines whether James could or could not really be the brother of Jesus of Nazareth. Through the analysis of texts we look for the answer that canonical texts give us.Subsequently, in the third chapter attention is also directed to the apocryphal and non-biblical sources that govern us about our James. In connection with the wanted James is mentioned and the first church community in Jerusalem, in which James played a significant leadership role. The aim of the thesis is to describe the character of James, the brother of the Lord, by means of all analyzed sources. In conclusion, a summary possible solution of questions concerning James, the Lord's Brother is presented. The submitted diploma thesis deals with Christian Democratic political parties in the political systems of Scandinavian and Baltic countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia and Latvia. These parties form a unique "Nordic" branch of European political Protestantism; and structurally and functionally distinctive, but to a great degree homogenous, subgroup of Christian democracy. A major theoretical tradition to be applied is the Rokkanian party system analysis. Contrary to its counterparts on the continent, the Nordic branch grew not from a church-based defence stance against a secular state, but from both territorial and religious dissent on the periphery. The "cultural periphery" analysis relies heavily on history and geography of religion of the Nordic countries. However, other theoretical perspectives are taken as well in order to compare different aspects of the parties' affiliations and policies, such as their cabinet policies, ideology or EC/EU attitudes. In another chapter, possibilities and limits of Christian democracy in the Lutheran environment of Latvia and Estonia are examined. Is Scandinavian experience portable? The Diploma thesis "Research on religious literacy of preschool children in a Christian kindergarten class: Case study" consists of two main parts. Its chief aim is to introduce a new term "religious literacy" and identify its main features on children of preschool age. In the first chapter, it is dealt with the term of literacy in general and from the religious point of view. First, the term is defined; its levels, main factors and points of judgment are specified. Further, the particular models for preschool age and the main principles of its effective stimulation and development are drawn up. In the chapter about religious literacy, the stage of faith intuitive - projective is presented, typical for preschool age. It is based on the passages from Catechism of the Catholic Church. The item of the second part is a case study as an empirical research on religious literacy of preschool children in a Christian kindergarten class. Christianity is for the relationship to nature repeatedly exposed to criticism and expectations.The general objective of this work is to point out the legitimacy of one or the other.More specifically, this thesis deals with the position of man in creation and its relation to the world. The work analyzes the texts of Pope John Paul II., And in his work he tries to map such thoughts and attitudes that are applicable for environmental ethics. The main source of finding solutions to the theology of respect for life and theology of creation of this pope. This work attempts to bring complete complex theological and ethical foundations that could help a person gain a better knowledge in dealing with life and all of nature. The work is divided into three parts. The first environmental elements are searched in the theology of creation of John Paul II. The second part follows the Pope's theology of respect for life. The third part gives an insight into the state of the world, as at the turn of the millennium saw John Paul II., And presented concrete proposals to address the environmental crises that the Pope is aware. It is focused to a posibility of aplication the knowledges and the processes from psychology and pedagogy and shows the necessity of a dialog between the practical-theological reflection and the secular access. It points the christian education of youth as a complex unit, which deserves special attention. It explorer, beside other things, the question of educational targets and also relevant issues for the nowadays youth. These things are closely connected with cognition of specifity young man and the environment where he lives and which influences him. And also for this reason this diploma work shows the line of these aspects. As a penetration of general finding out the christian education and the youth situation expresses several means which play the important part of christian education of the youth.

In my diploma thesis I deal with the problematic of people with hearing impairment. I introduce Deaf culture to Czech theological reflection and then concrete Christian communities in the Czech Republic, where deaf people gather. I analyze specifics of these communities, what is the role of the deaf people and using of sign language. I end up with theological reflection from the perspective of people with disabilities and then I introduce specifics of theology from the perspective of the Deaf.
