Hardwarový simulátor únikového kanálu / Fading channel hardware simulator

Pirochta, Pavel January 2010 (has links)
Fading channel is a communication channel that experiences different interference and fading due to multi-path signal propagation. The fading channel is designed by the finite impulse response filter with the time-varying impulse characteristic. The realisation of this filtr is based on the TDL (Tapped Delay Line) model, which simulate signal delay and signal attenuation in each branch. The aim of this thesis is to create the VHDL design of selected fading channel simulator and its description for hardware implementation into the FPGA.

Buněčné a molekulární mechanizmy aktivace teplotně citlivých TRP iontových kanálů / Cellular and molecular mechanisms of activation of thermally sensitive TRP ion channels

Máčiková, Lucie January 2020 (has links)
The transient receptor potential (TRP) are cation channels mostly permeable to both monovalent and divalent cations. ThermoTRP is a specific group of directly thermally activated TRP channels. The vanilloid transient receptor potential 3 (TRPV3) is an ion channel widely expressed in keratinocytes, that is implicated in the regulation of skin homeostasis, thermo- sensing, nociception and development of itch sensation. Our results show the importance of the cytoplasmic inter-subunit interface in the heat sensitivity of TRPV3. As there is a structural analogy within the vanilloid receptors, our hypothesis of the identified important region is supposed to be valid also for other thermally activated TRPV receptors (TRPV1, TRPV2 and TRPV4). We have proved that TRPV3 is a substrate for ERK1/2 protein kinase (kinase regulated by extracellular signal 1 and 2) and we have identified TRPV3 phosphorylation sites that may be direct targets for ERK1/2. Of these residues, threonine 264 has been shown to be the main phosphorylation site responsible for TRPV3 sensitization mediated by ERK kinase. In human keratinocytes, the phosphorylation might be physiologically and pathophysiologically important in processes of TRPV3 sensitization mediated by MAPK signaling pathway. The transient receptor potential ankyrin 1...

Studium funkce a struktury teplotně aktivovaných TRP iontových kanálů: Role evolučně konzervovaných motivů v modulaci TRPA1 / Functional and structural study of thermally activated TRP ion channels: The role evolutionarily conserved motifs in the TRPA1 modulation

Kádková, Anna January 2016 (has links)
Ankyrin receptor TRPA1 is an ion channel widely expressed on primary afferent sensory neurons, where it acts as a polymodal sensor of nociceptive stimuli. Apart from pungent chemicals (e. g. isothiocyanates, cinnamaldehyde and its derivatives, acrolein, menthol), it could be activated by cold temperatures, depolarizing voltages or intracellular calcium ions. TRPA1 channel is a homotetramer in which each subunit consists of cytoplasmic N and C termini and a transmembrane region. The transmembrane part is organized into six alpha- helices connected by intra- and extracellular loops. The N terminus comprises a tandem set of 16 to 17 ankyrin repeats (AR), while the C terminus has a substantially shorter, dominantly helical structure. In 2015, a partial cryo-EM structure of TRPA1 was resolved; however, the functional roles of the individual regions of the receptor have not yet been fully understood. This doctoral thesis is concerned to elucidate the role of highly conserved sequence and structural motifs within the cytoplasmic termini and the S4-S5 region of TRPA1 in voltage- and chemical sensitivity of the receptor. The probable binding site for calcium ions that are the most important physiological modulators of TRPA1 was described by using homology modeling, molecular-dynamics simulations,...

Analýza výhod a nevýhod zavedení eura v ČR / Analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of adopting the euro in the Czech Republic

Holík, Michal January 2016 (has links)
The submitted diploma thesis describes and evaluates selected aspects of adopting the euro in the Czech Republic that membership in the Euro area brings. The analytical part focuses on history which preceded the formation of the euro up to its introduction. Following is a description of the European Central Bank and its activities and organs. This part focuses on the relationship between Czech Republic and the euro which includes the historical events associated with the adoption of the euro in the Czech Republic and especially the National euro changeover plan. The practical part analyses the document entitled Study of the euro introduction impact on the economy of the Czech republic published in 2007, which involves applying the then ideas and opinions of authors to current time, which is greatly influenced by the economic recession, comparing these opinions and thoughts not only with their opponents but especially with the situation in the Slovak Republic, which is already for more than 7 years a member of the Euro area and therefore has a lot of experience with the euro. The second part of the practical part is dedicated to selected aspects of adopting the euro in the Czech Republic which appeared after 2007, after the study was published. The chapter Results and Discussion contains a personal opinion and recommendations of the author. The conclusion is dedicated to a summary of the collected information and the evaluation of these information

Nové postranní kanály v kryptografii / The new side channels in cryptography

Machů, Petr January 2011 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the side-channels in the cryptology. The main attention is paid to the side-channels, which allow an attack on a computer keyboard. Especially the acoustic side-channel is focused on. Through this channel are demonstrated two attacks on the keyboard. At first, the method of recognizing is described. The neural network was used for the recognition. Then, the demonstration attacks on the keyboard are described. The first demonstration is an attack in laboratory conditions and the other in terms of household conditions. The thesis describes two attacks from the record, through data recognition by neural networks to evaluate the actual demonstration of attack. The following describes the recommendations for disabling attack. The results are supplemented by graphs and discussed.

Molekulární mechanizmy aktivace a modulace TRPV3 receptoru / Molecular mechanisms of activation and modulation of TRPV3 receptor

Chvojka, Štěpán January 2015 (has links)
Transient receptor potential vanilloid 3 receptor channel (TRPV3) is a thermosensitive ion channel expressed in skin keratinocytes. There, in a molecular complex with the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) contributes to proliferation and terminal differentiation of keratinocytes, temperature detection, pain and pruritus. TRPV3 is activated by a number of exogenous compounds, such as carvacrol from oregano, thymol from thyme and eugenol from clove. Its unique feature is sensitization, TRPV3 channel activity successively increases upon repeated stimulation. The molecular basis of this process is not yet understood. One of the considered possibility is a direct phosphorylation of TRPV3 protein through signaling pathways involving EGFR and mitogen-activated protein kinase MAPK1 / MAPK3 (also called ERK2 / ERK1). In this thesis we investigated whether sensitization of TRPV3 which is expressed in a human cell line immortalized keratinocytes could be influenced by mutations on the predicted consensual phosphorylation sites for MAPK1 / MAPK3. We used electrophysiological patch-clamp technique and tested eight mutants, in which was threonine or serine replaced with aspartic acid mimicking phosphorylation. We identified six residues where the mutations influenced at least one of the functional...

Kódování a efektivita LDPC kódů / Kódování a efektivita LDPC kódů

Kozlík, Andrew January 2011 (has links)
Low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes are linear error correcting codes which are capable of performing near channel capacity. Furthermore, they admit efficient decoding algorithms that provide near optimum performance. Their main disadvantage is that most LDPC codes have relatively complex encoders. In this thesis, we begin by giving a detailed discussion of the sum-product decoding algorithm, we then study the performance of LDPC codes on the binary erasure channel under sum-product decoding to obtain criteria for the design of codes that allow reliable transmission at rates arbitrarily close to channel capacity. Using these criteria we show how such codes are designed. We then present experimental results and compare them with theoretical predictions. Finally, we provide an overview of several approaches to solving the complex encoder problem.
