Zvýšení stability chodu odstředivého kompresoru / Extension of Centrifugal Compressor Operational StabilityRůžička, Miroslav January 2016 (has links)
Centrifugal compressors with high pressure ratio are widely used in small aircraft turbine engines and turbocharges. At high rotational speeds they have narrow stable operating region and commonly used impellers with back swept blades are not able to ensure requested stability. In order to achieve wider stable operating region, some other anti-surge measures can be used, such as an Internal Recirculation Channel (IRC) located in compressor impeller inlet. This thesis deals with an investigation of IRC influence on centrifugal compressor operational parameters. As a first, the various recirculation channel geometry was studied by using of CFD analysis on simplified computational models. Those geometry, which indicated best results in terms of mass flow and looses in channel were used for testing on a model test device. Subsequently the same geometry was tested on real centrifugal compressor in experimental turbine engine to verify influence of IRC on compressor performance map – pressure ratio and efficiency. Simultaneously the CFD analyses of IRC with a 3D model of compressor impeller were performed and results compared with those, gained from measurement on model and compressor. In addition the measurement of flow field downstream the recirculation channel outlet slot with using of 3-hole pressure probe was performed and compared with flow velocity profiles evaluated from numerical simulations.

Transmisní mechanismus monetární politiky-úvěrový kanál a struktura bankovního trhu. Studie pro Gruzii, Ázerbájdžán a Arménii. / Monetary Policy Transmission - Bank Lending Channel and Banking Market Structure. The Case of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.Jvaridze, Tinatin January 2019 (has links)
In the thesis, we examine the bank lending channel and the effect of banking market structure on the transmission of monetary policy in Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. We employ bank-level data for the period of 2011-2017 to detect if banks with different characteristics react differently to monetary policy shocks. Banking market structure is proxied by three measures-CR5, HHI, and Lerner Index. We estimate two types of models: dynamic (with system GMM) and static (with FE) models. We also consider the effect of dollarization on bank loan supply as well as on monetary policy. We do not find consistent evidence that banks react differently to monetary policy shocks depending on bank characteristics (size, capitalization, and liquidity). Hence the existence of the lending channel is not conclusive. Nevertheless, the results show that monetary policy is less effective in more concentrated markets. This finding is robust in all specifications with both types of models. In this sense, competition is not significant. The results also suggest that dollarization weakens the effect of domestic monetary policy. Spontánní vápníková propustnost iontového kanálu P2X receptoru po záměně konzervovaného tyrosinu v 1 . transmembránové doméně / Spontaneous calcium permeability of ionic channel of P2X receptor after substitution ofconserved tyrosine in the 1st transmembrae domajnRupert, Marian January 2014 (has links)
Purinergic receptors are membrane ion channels that are activated by extracellular ATP. In vertebrates, seven genes encode subunits of P2X receptors. The subunits, designated P2X1-7, are 40 - 50% identical in amino acid sequences. P2X receptors are composed of three subunits and are found as homo- and heterotrimers in tissues of vertebrates. P2X receptors have a wide distribution in the organism, functional receptors are found in neurons, glial cells, muscle cells and also in nonexcitable tissues as epithelial, endothelial, and in hemopoietic tissue. Purinergic signalling plays an important role in pain transmission, at CNS injury and immune processes. P2X receptor subunit consists of two transmembrane domains, extracellular domain and intracellular N-and C-termini. Each transmembrane domain contains two amino acids conserved across all P2X subunits. In the first transmembrane domain receptor P2X2 are that Gly30 and Tyr43. In previous experiments performed on P2X2 receptor, electrophysiological measurements demonstrated that substitution of conserved Tyr43 in the first transmembrane domain with alanine prolongs the deactivation time of ion channel after agonist wash out. This work is focused on clarifying the role of conserved tyrosine in the process of opening and closing of ion channel of P2X...

Možnosti krasovění vápnitých pískovců v jizerské faciální oblasti české křídové pánve a vývoj kanálů v kvádrových pískovcích / Possibilities of karstification of calcareous sandstones in the Jizera segment of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin and evolution of conduits in the thick-bedded sandstonesVojtíšek, Jan January 2018 (has links)
Features typical for karst, such as fast groundwater flow and existence of open conduits were observed in various parts of Bohemian Cretaceous Basin (BCB). So far, vertical and areal extent of karst rocks is not known. In case of concerning conduits in quartz sandstones the observation of their evolution in profiles perpendicular to flow is missing. The thesis deals with above mentioned issues. Concerning potential to karstification it is limited to Jizera facial area of BCB. For this purpose, leaching of samples in hydrochloric acid were carried out. The hydrochloric acid was used as an accelerated simulation of natural processes of dissolution of rock by acidic solutions. The reaction of samples on leaching in acid, disintegration and content of the CaCO3 component were evaluated. CaCO3 content was determined also by calcimetry. Rocks which disintegrated can be a suitable for the evolution of karst conduits. According to the lithostratigraphic sections, the examined profiles belong to the TUR5 and TUR6 units - thus these units contain rocks suitable for the evolution of karst conduits. In Předměřice site about 23 % of samples disintegrated, in Kosmonosy site 8 % and in Turnov site 36 % disintegrated. Thus about 1/10 to 1/3 of tested profiles is prone to karstification and evolution of karst...

Molekulárně dynamické simulace iontového kanálu TRPA1 / Molecular dynamics simulations of ion channel TRPA1Zíma, Vlastimil January 2018 (has links)
Title: Molecular dynamics simulations of ion channel TRPA1 Author: Mgr. Vlastimil Zíma Institute: Institute of Physics of Charles University Supervisor: RNDr. Ivan Barvík, PhD., Institute of Physics of Charles Uni- versity Abstract: The ion channel TRPA1 is one of the members of the transient receptor potential channel family. These channels have recently been an im- portant objective of research, because they play important roles in various cellular processes and organismic mechanisms. Especially they are involved in most of the senses. We focused mainly on the TRPA1 ion channel due to its involvement in the pain sensation in humans. Because the molecular mechanisms behind the gating of this channel are not fully understood, their description is a key for a design of new analgesics targeting this channel. We used a homology modeling and molecular dynamics simulations in conjunc- tion with electrophysiological experiments to provide a valuable new insight into the channel mechanisms. We contributed by describing of a putative binding site for calcium ions. Further, many functionally important amino acids were found in the S1-S4 transmembrane domain. Keywords: voltage-gated ion channel, TRPA1 channel, molecular dynamics, homology modeling 1

Město, kanál a region. Dopad odvodňovacích procesů na centrální pozici města Somboru v první polovině 19. století / Town, canal, and region. The impact of drainage processes on the urban centrality of Sombor in the first half of Ninetenth centuryLjuboja, Dušan January 2017 (has links)
This thesis examines the impact of drainage processes that were conducted in the first half of the Nineteenth century on the urban centrality of the free royal town of Sombor. The existing approach in the literature regarding urbanization in Kingdom of Hungary mainly focused on the economic role of a settlement, which put aside the importance of its legal status within the feudal system. This theory, even though it validly changed the definition of what being urban means for a specific settlement, also passed over the importance of the administrative aspect of centrality. In the case of Sombor, there were two main central political authorities that interacted and conflicted with each other, thus impeding the overall progress of a settlement as a whole. On the one side, town's administration represented the interests that did not usually go beyond the territory under their control. On the other, Bács-Bodrog County's administration represented the interests of the feudal dominions and inhabitants living there. The main hypotheses of this thesis is that the process of land drainage, which was conducted in order to reduce the level of redundant waters and ameliorate conditions for agricultural activity, emanated contested centrality of Sombor as a settlement, and showed juxtaposed positions of the Town...
